Don't chance it!!
This hotel will be remembered as the one that broke my 18 years of trusting Hilton. We have stayed here in the past and it was a wonderful experience. Unless it is completely gutted and rebuilt I would not risk my health to stay here again. The overwhelming musty smell in the rooms is mold and mildew growing in the carpet and walls around you. It seems the air conditioning unit has been broken in the hotel for a very long time. Hot humid days with hot humid rooms is a disgusting combination. Then mixing in cleaning chemicals is just adding to the hazards. If you have any type of respiratory issues I would recommend not even looking to book this hotel. For the employees that try their best to keep this hotel running, my best regards to you all. You truly were the only positive part of our stay.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
The room we had was disgusting. No air conditioning. The staff were extremely rude when we tried to get find a resolution. They actually lied at one point and stated A/C was fixed and the air needed to circulate. The It was still 78 degrees in our room that evening and they said it was actually still broken. Moldy smell in room and common areas. Elevator is need of repair and ended up getting stuck with people inside of it. Definitely avoid!

Mold
Very dissatisfied with recent stay, despite Hilton reputation. The room was in an unhygienic condition and various maintenance issues that reflect negligence. Room had STRONG mold odor, A/C, elevator, plumbing, and lighting not working. Carpet and furniture badly stained.

Upgrade Not Enough
Room door stuck every time it was used, toilet ran and had to jiggle handle to stop, refrigerator freezer froze solid and frig barely worked, AC worked well, view was nice but too angled for the fireworks viewing, no valet for parking that was really difficult to park in, garage dark and dangerous, bringing luggage into two elevators is simply insane in a supposed premium hotel, no bell staff, fresh eggs made to order at breakfast simply great, bacon so greasy it is inedible, sausage so tough and dry it is inedible, early checkin unavailable and at appointed time took more than an hour inline, elevators that made spooky sounds with doors slow to open, very dated and worn decor including room furniture that looked pretty beat, room was quiet for a full hotel, and bus route in town at front of hotel for a buck very great. Good and bad our two night stay had many ups and downs.

Several things to be aware of before booking!
I have never written a hotel stay review. However, I believe that others need to be aware of what is happening so they can make an informed decision when booking their stay. First let me say that we have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. We have always loved it. It had been about 6-7 years since our last stay. I made the mistake of not reading recent reviews and so that is definitely on me. This review is regarding our stay on August 31, 2024. This hotel is no longer even close to Hilton Embassy Suite standards. Check in was terrible. There was a line forever long that took over an hour for people to check in. So be prepared if you are in a time crunch or try to use the Hilton app to check in. When we got to our room, it was 79 degrees in the room, there was a terrible musty smell and the carpet was torn and filthy. I went back downstairs and waited 45 minutes at the check in line to request another room. They kindly accommodated my request. However, the second room was not much better. The carpet was in slightly better condition. The room still smelled awful and the air conditioner in that room also did not work well. The room temperature never dropped below 76 degrees. We asked for a few fans and were told they would bring it up. An hour later and close to midnight no fans. We also had no sheets/blankets for the pullout coach. We tried to call the front desk on 3 different occasions throughout our stay and no one answered. My husband walked back down to ask for sheets/blankets and ask about the fans again. He was given bed sheets only and he was told the hotel chiller was broken causing lots of air conditioning problems and people requesting fans. So, they did not have a fan for us. The beds, especially the pullout couch were not in good shape, they need updated. None of us slept well due to the heat in the room, the terrible musty smell and uncomfortable beds. I went down to get some bottles of water for us and was charged $12 for two 12oz bottles. Charging $6 for a bottle of water is ridiculous. The next morning we let our boys swim for a while before checking out. The stairs between the first and second floor are soft in spots, so be careful. The pool is fairly nice but the door is locked to the patio, so again we were stuck in a hot area. The breakfast was nice and the location is very convenient to Great American Ballpark and Paycor Stadium. However, the hotel itself is not worth $150 per night, much less the outrageous price we paid for our stay Saturday, August 31. If you are considering this hotel, I recommend at minimum you call and make sure the air conditioning is working and be prepared for accommodations well below most Hilton Embassy Suites standards. Extremely Disappointed, Hilton Honors Customer.
