Would try again
Hotel itself was great, but our specific room not so much. I’ve stayed at Embassy Suites before and never had any issues, so I’m going to give grace and will visit again. Large room, mostly clean room (besides a dirty tub and bathroom floor), great location with cheap parking for a large city ($12 a day in the garage connected to the hotel), and complimentary breakfast and evening hour with two free drinks - always a bonus. Our room had a great view of the bridge and kids loved the indoor pool.

Just don’t …
We picked this location due to proximity to Cincinnati .. easy walk over the bridge. However, not much else good about this hotel Clearly dated rooms. Carpet was dirty. Minimal housekeeping. Stayed 3 days, had to ask on day 2 for someone to clean out garbage (we have been travelling for a couple of weeks and had lots to clear out). Housekeeping did a superficial job, no change of towels, no wiping of counters Worse of all .. no hot water on day 1 and 2. Informed front desk on day 1… but no one came to fix. On day 3 .. there was no cold water and water was scalding hot. At those temperatures, a child could get burned fairly easily (I provide pediatric care, and am aware of the dangers of scalding temps). Lastly.. phones do not work in room. Not that anyone uses them except to call front desk… but I guess it’s better to disconnect phones than to hear complaints Lastly . Fitness center is a joke. Of 3 cardio machines, 2 were broken and would not work. Smallest fitness room I have seen on travels to 8 states. When contemplating this hotel for location. Go to Marriott next door . (2 stars because bed is comfortable, hopefully clean) and location )

Dated, in need of repairs and serious cleaning
Service staff were great- front desk, bar staff, breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms are dated and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Our first room, we discovered around 10pm the AC wasn’t working. The front desk sent someone to check it and he said it couldn’t be repaired that night so we were moved to a different room. The new room had a strong unpleasant odor, sheets were stained and the bathroom sink was not draining water. Given it was now 11pm, we used the bar sink to brush our teeth and called first thing in the morning and were assured housekeeping and maintenance would be by. When we got back that afternoon, sink was still not draining and sheets had not been changed. Front desk sent maintenance up who worked on the sink and the front desk staff brought new sheets which I changed myself. Sink finally drained but it was still sluggish. Vents covered in dust. We liked the location, staff (who we had multiple interactions with!) were very helpful and tried to fix what they could. Bar staff with the free happy hour drink was a nice bonus. And the gentleman making made-to-order omelettes every morning was great!
