Another fabulous, fabulous, memorable vacation!
This was our sixth trip to El Dorado Casitas Royale and it was as special as ever. We absolutely love this resort. The grounds are gorgeous and so well maintained. But the thing that really keeps us coming back..... the exceptional staff. They truly go above and beyond to make our visits so special. We stayed in Casitas building 32 and had an upstairs room with a private infinity pool. There are stairs, and there is not an elevator so that might be something for some people to keep in mind. But we love the privacy of the upstairs rooms. The views are wonderful and, in our room, we had views of both the pool area and the ocean. The rooms are extremely generous in size with California king sized beds, an indoor jacuzzi tub, a huge indoor shower and a fabulous outdoor shower. All the amenities that you would expect are in the room. There is a refrigerator and a coffee maker. There is also a large screen television but we never even turned it on. On the private veranda there is a bali bed and a table and chairs for outside dining. The water temperature in the pool was perfect and the pools are kept sparkling clean. Housekeeping services were excellent with morning service and turn down service. We never had to ask for anything at all in our room. There are actually three resorts that are all together and guests may go to the restaurants and bars at any of the three resorts. There is certainly no shortage of wonderful cuisine! Our personal favorite is the Del Italia Casitas restaurant, which features Italian cuisine. We also booked the Chef's Table at this restaurant. It is an extra charge but it is so worth it! It isn't "just dinner" but rather it is a dining experience. There are seven courses, with wine pairings for each course. Chef Rebecca prepared an absolutely fabulous dinner. There is a private room for the Chef's Table and you are looking right into the kitchen and can see what all is involved in producing such wonderful dishes. We really like wandering over to The Palms restaurant, which is in the Generations resort. There you will find delicious fish tacos, cerviche, tostados and there is even a whole fish that you can order. They also have a fabulous breakfast. It is open air dining with wonderful ocean views. Also at Generations is a wonderful restaurant called The Wine Kitchen. It is a beautifully appointed restaurant and the service was perfect. While the menu isn't huge, everything is so good. I had one of the best salmon dishes that I have ever had. We had a beautiful candlelight beach dinner which I would highly recommend. The food was delicious and the sax player just added such a romantic note! In trying to stay honest, I will say that we were extremely disappointed in the Santa Fe Grill restaurant, which in the past has been a favorite of ours. It was the only dinner that we had during our visit that just wasn't very good. We adore the beach bali beds at Casitas and that was pretty much where we spent our time. The seaweed has been bad in Mexico this year so swimming in the ocean wouldn't have been too pleasant. But the staff works tirelessly to remove the seaweed and we never noticed any odor at all. We were told that, by September, the seaweed should pretty much have gone away. There are just no words to describe how special the staff at this resort makes our vacations. While they are all wonderful, I want to specifically mention some of the staff who made our vacation so memorable. Aida Eldo - our wonderful concierge in Casitas building 32 Our personal butlers in Casitas builing 32 Hugo DeVe - he was FABULOUS! Constantly checking in with us to see if there was anything at all that we needed. Antonio Miriam - she wasn't our butler this year but she was last year. Each time we saw her on this visit we got a huge hug. Our wonderful beach bar waiters at the Casitas beach for building 32. They were just great! Guillermo Pucheta Emizeal The BEST waiter at any restaurant at any of the three resorts! Edmar Medina at De Italia Casitas - there aren't enough words to say how special he made our visit. The waiters at the 32 restaurant Justo Jesus Alex Our wonderful waiter (twice) at the Wine Kitchen Juan The cutest, most personable restaurant hostess anywhere Landy VazkEz The assistant concierge at Casitas 32 Antonio One of the people responsible for our significant weight gain Chef Rebecca at De Italia Casitas The wonderful sommelier at De Italia Casitas Ricardo The first person to greet you at the main lobby when you arrive.. and who gives the best hugs Alberto Our wonderful cart driver who took us to Casitas when we arrived, and also took us (kicking and screaming) to check out Leo Our thanks to absolutely everyone at El Dorado Casitas Royale! Thank you all for such a perfect vacation! We will see you in November!

Perfect relaxation and delivery from the staff
We recently returned to Eldorado Casitas for another unforgettable week—part of a tradition that now spans over 18 years. What continues to draw us back, year after year, is the exceptional staff. From the maintenance crew to the waiters, bartenders, and especially the butlers, everyone contributes to an experience that feels both luxurious and personal. On this trip, we were joined by two other couples using our membership, and they were equally impressed by the outstanding level of service. Our butlers—Benjamin, Ana, Ximena, and Ruben—once again delivered excellence. Their communication, coordination, and attention to detail ensured that every need was met seamlessly. We never had to ask twice; everything was taken care of. Fabiola provided us with truly memorable dining experiences. Every meal she arranged was beautifully executed, and the wine pairings were spot-on. The Chef’s Table continues to be a culinary highlight—elegant, creative, and consistently top-tier. Aida, working closely with the Exotic Travelers team, was a standout. She not only handled our requests with ease but also engaged us in meaningful conversations and welcomed our feedback with sincerity. We were especially pleased to see that the overall food and beverage quality has noticeably improved, returning to the high standards we remember from years past. After a period of decline, it’s refreshing to see the resort returning to form. It’s also exciting to see room renovations taking place throughout the property. We’re hopeful that these updates will soon extend into the Casitas section as well.

Another Great Vacation!
We just returned from El Dorado Casitas. My husband and I went with our 2 daughters and their boyfriend's, and everyone had a wonderful time! This is about the 6th time we have stayed at this resort, and it did not disappoint! The weather was perfect, the food was amazing, and the employees were all exceptional! We were in Building 31 and the taco lunch everyday was so good! We have no complaints whatsoever about any of the meals we had and never had a bad one. Kampai is our favorite restaurant, followed by Casitas Italia. We also loved Santa Fe for breakfast. There is not much to complain about, but I just wanted to mention a few things: 1.) I really wish they would have a better qualify of house wine. The Chardonnay and Merlot were the only ones that were half decent but still not great. It would be nice if they upgraded the kind of wine they serve. 2.) I wish there were more cardio equipment at the Fitness Center. They only have 3 treadmills and 2 bikes, so sometimes you had to wait for the equipment. But I loved the cold eucalyptus towels they had there. It was so wonderful after a hard workout. Yes, the beach is not the greatest and the seaweed was a real problem this year, but that certainly is not the resort's fault. Something happened this year and it became a problem everywhere. The workers do their best to get rid of it, but it's an endless battle. We did the day tour to Maroma and it was even worse there. The beach itself is beautiful, but the seaweed is really bad. But again, this is a problem everywhere and beyond the resorts control. All of the employees are amazing at this resort, but I want to mention a few that really stood out for us: First of all, our Butlers, Ruben and Fernando were exceptional. They took such good care of all 6 of us and were very attentive. Every night Ruben would leave a little nightcap and dessert for us which was such a great touch! They really were amazing butlers! Next, Jacob and Emiliano at the Concierge for Building 31 were also amazing. They were always available to help us and made our stay special and always said hello when we passed by. Karla at the check-in lounge made our check-in experience so easy! This was the best check-in experience we have ever had, so thank you! And lastly Mauricio and Soraya in the sales office were so knowledgeable and helpful. They are an asset to this company Again, there was no bad employee. Everyone is hard working and helpful. I'm sorry this review is so long, but there is so much to write about. I really don't know how anyone can not have a great time here. We can't wait to go back next year! Thank you El Dorado!!!

A great experience!
The resort is gorgeous! The food is excellent. Everywhere you go there are little touches that create an exotic ambiance. The staff are all attentive and friendly. Adrianna was my butler, she is the best!

THERE IS NO BEACH!
I had such high hopes! The only thing I liked about the resort was the room. Clean, comfy bed, outdoor shower, and private pool. That being said, maid may have swiped some $$ out of my husbands bag. Check in was fine but they didn’t provide any sort of map, just told us to use their app. And the app is TERRIBLE, things are not marked accurately and after 6 days, still could not find all the places to eat. Saw our butler all of one time. Liked the room but you had to climb a flight of wooden stairs to get to the room. Older generations would have problems and there is no elevator Biggest complaint is the beach/ocean. As in, there is no access! There are literally cement barriers lining the ENTIRE property. We walked to the end thinking eventually we could clear them- NOPE! They don’t want you in the ocean because the waves could throw you into one of the cement hunks and kill you. You have to scale a cement border to even access the ocean. They were also in the process of putting up a chain link fence into the water to help control the seaweed. I saw hardly any employees on the resort (felt like a ghost town), all the employees were raking up seaweed. Which by the way, smells like a sewer when it’s collected Be prepared to walk! It was 0.8 miles from our room to the lobby (where the main breakfast buffet is located). There are shuttles…. when you can find one. It’s a good 25 minute wait between them. Time to wait is on digital signs so yeah…. Might as well walk. Casitas is one of three resorts on the property. So the entire property is HUGE and the restaurants are hidden and spaced out. Some of the restaurants are on the generations resort which allows kids. Not the romantic vibe we were going for Food was awful. I have been to MX many times, multiple all inclusive hotels, this place had the worst food by far. All proteins overcooked. Most meals are stews so the meats just over steam/boil. Nothing had flavor or texture. My husband and I lost weight! If you want to sit in the pool and drink, this place is for you. Lots of pools, not a lot of people. No activities, just alcohol. My friend got married here. Things were not set up by the time guests arrived and they forgot flowers for her bouquet. Who does that???? I don’t understand how this resort got such high ratings!
