My husband and I were married at the Dreams Tulum on November 29, 2019. We had an EXCELLENT experience with our wedding planner, Victoria, and the rest of her staff. Victoria was diligent and very helpful in the planning process and was able to answer ALL of our questions. Having a destination wedding can be very worrisome, but Victoria eased all of stresses. Her calm and positive demeanor were just what we needed to make our big day the best it could be. We held our ceremony in the private jungle garden which was absolutely gorgeous and had our reception at the main beach. The beach location was utter perfection and the infinity dance floor proved to be worth every penny!! My husband and I thought that the DJ service was great and followed our requests without one mistake. The staff that were assigned to our wedding were also phenomenal! Our wedding guests told us over and over again how attentive they were and never let anyone's glass go empty (especially the shots of tequila)! My husband and I also chose to use the resort's photography company for our wedding. We were very pleased with our "mini clip" video from the wedding, and they provided it to us the very next day! We loved a majority of the photos they captured, but we would recommend to make sure that you are very specific with them if you want certain photos in specific locations. Overall, we felt that the photography staff did aim to please and were very kind to us. My husband and I cannot thank Victoria enough for helping to make our wedding so spectacular! She is absolutely wonderful!!
We arrived at Dreams Tulum on 13th March for 7 nights, we were moved to this hotel as the Dreams hotel I had originally booked in Cancun wasn't ready (still being built). Despite this we absolutely loved this resort. It was a great size, beautifully landscaped with a stunning beach. We had an ocean view room number 6305, the view was stunning!! the first half of the week was nice and busy and everyone enjoying there holiday, the 2nd half was very quiet due to COVID 19 and no new arrivals turning up, it did feel a bit strange to go from buzzing to ghost town, but obviously not the hotels fault, this was due to lockdown happening around the world. We even started to panic thinking we wouldn't make it back to the UK in time. We would definitely stay at this resort again, the food was lovely, great selection of drinks and restaurants, our favourites were the Mexican and Japanese. Entertainment throughout the day around the pool was great, and we had lots of laughs, evening entertainment was good too, big thanks and shout out to Nick. We had a great day trip which we booked up at reception, very enjoyable see photos for info. Also made some great American friends while here who we keep in touch with. Would recommend this resort, it's stunning.
We were married on their beach in 2013; its just an amazing site!!!! We have since been back 5 times! The huge property is safe!, has ample bars and diverse restaurants! The food is delicious!, the bar is primo shelf!, you can pay a little more and get Premier service for top notch products, I love the staff who work so hard to make the customers happy and the bartenders will match your taste to whatever you want!, again the property- depending on what size room you're looking for; beach side is what we get! The entire property is beautiful and well kept! Kid friendly and couple friendly! Ample space! Water sports and off property zip-lining as well as jungle utv-ing! Thats our favorite!, no need to rent a vehicle the resort will arrange transportation just let them know! You will not go wrong here! We go back every 2 years! Love this property and staff!!!!
Treat Yourself to Serenity at the Spa!!
My family had the pleasure of celebrating Christmas at Dreams Tulum. Booking spa appointments was a top priority. Our massages and facials exceeded expectations. My mother and I never wanted our services to end!! It was absolutely divine. We emerged relaxed and rejuvenated. Special thanks to Belsica and Florentine, who are absolutely magical, as well as Nelsy and Alfredo for their help making arrangements!
Great for families, VERY ACCOMMODATING for food allergies, most gorgeous beach ever
***we traveled during the start of the CoronaVirus pandemic and I am unsure if our experience would have been the same if this was not going on*** Dreams Tulum is on the most gorgeous beach I have ever been too. Water shoes are needed in more rocky areas. Walk with the water on your left for a beautiful view. Food allergies were greatly accommodated but please first find the Restaurant Manager Daniel as he will help you navigate food options and always will go out of his way to prepare a la carte dishes at the World Cafe Buffet (even for those without allergies at my table). Irma is also amazing remembering how you take your coffee, asking your name, and always greeted us with a large smile. Luis is also a great contact in the restaurants. Coco cafe had gluten free and dairy free cookies too! I could not ask for more. To my surprise my family was better taken care of at the World Cafe buffet than the al la carte Portafino (disgusting food options here) and Seaside Grill (I was actually given food that contained something I was allergic to). The teppanyaki was also extremely accommodating and surprised me with their creativity. (We never experienced El Patio menu, The Bistro, Sushi, Pan Asian, or the Smoothie shop due to all restaurants not operating. Nor did we the kids experience the Kids Club which was closed during posted open hours.) There are 2 downsides to this hotel - one is the lack of communication between staff. Many restaurants were closed and events cancelled due to Coronavirus/low occupancy. Depending on which staff you asked, a different answer would be given. The iPads in the room were NOT updated with these changes, nor was the central calendar located by the central bar/patio. ( this may have been in part due to the coronavirus) but it was inconsistent to say the least. Restaurants would be closed when advertised open, and vice versa. The biggest downside is the HARD, HARD sell on the vacation package. We said NO 3 times (twice in person, once on a phone call, and also a postcard was left at our room). They push really hard. We said we were not interested in a time share, we were told they had no idea what a time share is and had no idea what we were talking about. After checking in the hotel staff literally turns you over to the vacation package reps and make it seem like part of check-in. I think a hotel of this level should NOT be doing this as a common practice. We had a bad experience during check in (we were offered upgraded room rates and depending on whom we spoke to the rates were vastly different). A staff member came over to us when they realized how upset we were and we almost were tricked into believeing it was management coming to talk to us. Instead it was the time share employees again offering us free services (which we thought was due to bad checkin experience) and nope it was the hard sell again. SO stay clear of them and be firm. Enjoy the activities pool, amazing beach and the great food (just find Daniel first). Before we found him our food was less than lackluster. This hotel has exceptional service once you find the amazing staff Irma, Daniel and Luis. Also the shows at night are pretty great! Despite the bad experience at checkin and vacation package ridiculousness we still recommend Dreams Tulum as the rest of it is AMAZING.
