Jan 22, 2025Dreams Sapphire….not quite a dreamy place
This was a birthday trip for me and felt so bad for my partner that he paid for the Preferred Club and the room was so dated and just not what was expected for a Dreams Resort. The loungers by the pool were very dirty and I would NOT lay down on themselves! Not quite sure if the stains were just from rain, where and tear or bodily fluids! We did get moved to a suite in the new Indigo side and what a difference! Beautiful room and rooftop deck with affinity pool and lounge chairs. Thanks to Jose Romero at the Front Desk who was so helpful in getting us moved! Overall the food is sub par as I got very sick from the food in the Asian restaurant and did not eat raw fish! The resort has fabulous staff so a special thanks to those on the Indigo side….Dyana, Victor, Santos, David and Manuel who made sure we were well fed and the pool side beverages were served! This resort would work for families that want to try an all inclusive but we have been to many all inclusives in Cancun and this one would not be one we would return to…… Photos show old room in Building 6 along with room at Indigo side along with some of the great staff which I do need to call out.

Jan 22, 2025Dreams for the dreamers 💞
This was our second time in a dreams resort, and we had another great experience with our family. We travelled with our kids 3 and 6 years old, and between all the activities and the night entertainment, they had so much fun. Eli, Pamela and Javier, at the kids club were so sweet, my daughter didn’t want to leave the club. The food was very good and the hotel service is excellent. Our cleaning lady Sandra from building 930 was so kind, she always made sure our room was always perfect with everything we needed. We definitely recommend the dreams resort and we can’t wait to come back.

Needs more wheelchair access.
This resort needs more accessible features such as pool lifts and more ramps. I had to wheel all the way around the entire front of the resort just to get to the other side of the pool. Jacuzzi also needs a lift for disabled patrons. Some of the ramps are very steep.

Jan 22, 2025Not what we expected from a Hyatt resort!
We booked using information from the Hotel's website (which is part of the Hyatt chain) and using the pictures provided for a Preferred ocean Front suite. When we finally got there, the room that was provided was not even close to the website pic. We did discuss with the front desk ( Jose R) who was able to upgrade us to a new wing in the Indigo side, which was impressive. it had a rooftop pool, bar and snack bar that was VERY GOOD! and the small meals that were prepared were GOOD. Service was impressive and special thanks to Santos, Dynah, and David. This was our 18th trip to Mexico and have visited several 4.5 or 5 star resorts and based on information from a travel agent, they indicated that the food was OK and that it should be good. Using our preferred upgrade we felt that this was going to be a good positive choice, unfortunately we were wrong and made a bad decision. My overall impression on this resort is that it NEEDS A MAJOR REFRESH, overall food quality, pool lounges and pads are in major need of upgrades. If you are travelling with a family then this would be suitable. I am surprised that the corporate side of Hyatt cannot promote this as being a 4.5 star resort, which in mind is at best a 3 star resort.

Amazing first family vacation with our 2 kids!
Overall, our stay was amazing! I would definitely recommend this resort to my friends and family and I would consider coming back (or to another dreams resort) for my next trip to Mexico. We traveled with my parents and our 2 young kids and there was something for everyone. The kids club was great, we didn't leave our kids for the babysitting aspect, but they were still able to enjoy the activities. The staff were amazing! We needed milk in our room for our youngest and they delivered it to us. Our safe broke down one day and staff were on site and fixed the issue within less than 20 mins. The beach was beautiful. Unfortunately there is the ongoing sargassum issue, but the resort staff did their best to clear the beach regularly. The resort was full when we checked in, but the staff did an incredible job of making sure that towels were always stocked at the pool, food was always refilled at the buffet and barefoot grill and all of our needs were tended to. Thank you so much Dreams Sapphire for a wonderful vacation!
