    Portofino Italian restaurant is amazing!!!

Esequiel our waiter at Portofino was amazing!!! He had all of the great recommendations and he was very nice and so friendly!!! When you come to the dreams resort do your self a favor and come to Portofino Italian restaurant! It is the best restaurant on the resort! Me and my wife had a great experience here at this restaurant! We love this place! Ask for Esequiel as your waiter! You will not be disappointed.

    Love this Dreams

This resort has always been one of my favorites. Great rooms, lovely pools. Not a long drive from the airport. I’ve been many times. Seems like they’ve slipped a little since Hilton took over but it’s overall so nice I will probably continue to go back.

Thes best vacation we have had!

We had such an amazing family vacation at Dreams Riviera! We were a part of the unlimited vacations so we got the preferred rooms and special service. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us every day, making us feel right at home! The resort is beautiful and the beach is very clean, with nice cabanas and chairs. The pool also had cabanas and tons of food options. I do want to call out Alvaro, Jesus and Fredy who are the pool concierges. They were a huge highlight on our vacation and made us feel like family the entire time. After we told Alvaro we were from Colorado, he even made us this Broncos sign out of license plates (overnight!) and he hand painted a picture for my dad as well. We can't wait to see them next time we go back!

    Just Average

Have stayed at several All Inclusives on the Cancun Strip and Riviera Maya and honestly this was just average and certainly not a great value. I have no real complaints except that for the money I expected 'better'. All things considered definitely not a 5 star but an ok 4 star. Even as a Perferred guest the quality of the drinks were just ok. Nothing was above and beyond. The wine was the same everywhere (my wife didn't care for them but we are a littel snobby) and unless you made a specific request the liquor was of very low grade. We had a Preferred Pool/Ocean view and it was very nice. Room was very clean, beds were pretty good but we try not to be too picky about the little things. No complaints about the room. The way the room is situated you didn't hear any outside hallway noise as some have mentioned. Yes, several weddings during our 4 night stay but no big deal IMHO. We did not see, hear or experience any wildness, just folks enjoying themselves as they should be - it's Mexico so have fun. Yes, the people who work there were the outstanding feature and genuinely very nice. Main pool was a bit chilly. Beach was nice and rock free but of course some sargassum which is now par for the course unfortunately. They did have a daily ritual of a tractor doing its best to pick up the grass/sargassum. If you want shade get to the beach between 8-8:30 and be prepared to stay with your chairs because they will pick your stuff up if you are not present after 30-60 min. After 10 am they are a little more lenient but thumbs up on this policy. Pool was wall to wall chairs and not our thing. Resort clientele was a mixture of families, wedding attendees and retirees. Each on their own is fine but put them together and it's kinda like oil and water. Kids being kids and retirees hoping for peace and quiet. Food and drinks were just meh. Had high expectations for the French restaurant - again, for the money, meh. We rarely do Italian at Mexican Hotels but it was probably our favorite but not outstanding. In conclusion, nice medium sized 4 star Hyatt owned and operated resort but not worth the money and for that reason I would not return. Tip, if your budget allows and you are set on staying here I would recommend the Preferred Pool/Ocean view and definitely use the included Hydrotherapy circuit.
