Beautiful hotel, amazing service.
We stayed in the ocean front Master suite, room 1300. It was absolutely beautiful. The view was expansive, complete ocean. We moved to the Governors suite just for fun. The room was the exact layout as the master suite, but with direct beach access. A large deck, with pool and hot tub, has steps to the sand. A Bali bed comes with the Governor's suite. The service at the resort is incredible. The food is also great (Oceana was my favorite, especially for lunch). The breakfast. buffet has about everything that you can think of. My husband was in heaven. My advice for dinner is to eat later. The lines are long when restaurants open for dinner. We ate all day long at the poolside place, so it wasn't a problem. If you want to eat at opening time (around 6:30), get in line early. The resort is family friendly, so kids are around and usually hang out at the kiddie pool. Our friends had their 2 & 4 year old kids and they had a blast. There are a lot of weddings. That wasn't a problem. They were mostly at the end of the day and didn't interfere with anything that we wanted to do. A note about the bars... the drinks were great and the bartenders are professionals. They can make just about anything. If you want a bottle of wine, you can buy one. It wasn't necessary because their house cabernet was good. If you want to go to Cancun (30 minutes by bus), the hotel can arrange transportation for you. We did that one day and took a boat tour. There is also a lot of upscale shopping in Cancun (Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Gucci, Tiffany) at a huge outdoor mall. I liked being outside of the congestion of the hotel zone. It was fine to visit, but I was glad that we didn't stay there. We had a great time at the resort and would definitely go back. In fact, I wish that I was there now.
Amazing Family Vacation!!
We had the best family vacation at Dreams! From the moment we arrived every single staff member was wonderful. German at the front desk was so kind and helpful. The entertainment staff, Karla, Gustavo, Cesare, and Angy were all wonderful and helped my whole family have so much fun together! The food was delicious at every restaurant and no reservations were needed except for the Hibachi show. The nighttime entertainment was great and my family loved the movie and popcorn while waiting to go to dinner. The resort was gorgeous and well maintained as was the beach! If you ever needed anything, all you had to do was ask! Every day we found something new to do: beach volleyball, water aerobics, archery, bike tour, arcade, basketball court, Zumba, fitness center, ping pong, and enjoying the beach and pools! I would highly recommend Dreams Riviera Cancún to any family for a fantastic vacation!
Beautiful resort! Just avoid the sales pitch!
After checking in we were immediately ushered to a gentleman offering various gifts in exchange for traveling to a nearby sister property for a “presentation”. This was literally the second person we spoke to at the property and made for a very awkward and uncomfortable first impression. Once we got past that the property is amazing! Spa was great, beach and pools were beautiful, room was delightful and comfortable, and food was very nice!
Wonderful staff in every way. More of a family resort as there are lots of kids everywhere. Beautiful beach and grounds. Lots of restaurants to choose from but the food is not always very hot. You will have fun once you learn how to reserve your beach lounger!
We are not world travelers, nor have we ever been to Mexico before. We were looking for a break from a long, sunless winter and we stumbled upon this gem. Absolutely incredible beaches, amazing service and plenty of things to do to keep you moving but completely relaxed at the same time. Our days were spent on the beach with drink service all day long and evenings with numerous options for dining. The rooms were very open and bright and the ones with an ocean view, did not disappoint. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodated anything you would need. It was a little city in and of itself but not hectic or too big. Perfect getaway for 4 or 5 days to break up the monotony of life!
