Elevated the experience
We had a wonderful time at the Bordeaux (french restaurant). The service was exceptional. Our server Roberto was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured my allergy was addressed. He even made us a handmade dessert involving flames! Would return again.

Dreams Riviera Better Than Expected
My family had a great time at Dreams Riviera Cancun, hotel is not too large and overwhelming, which was great for us. Everything was in a comfortable walking distance. Food was great here as well recommended the Japanese restaurant for dinner and Seaside grill for breakfast.

More than a Resort… it’s an Experience!
This is one of those experiences where one word can’t be used to describe my time at DREAMS RIVIERA CANCUN RESORT SPA. However… if I had to sum it up in one word, it would be Astounding! The calm that is present at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa is one that is truly appreciated. There is a stillness of the atmosphere that allows you to get lost in the joy, fun, water, food, and ambiance of the resort. Arriving at the resort was easy and smooth thanks to Lima’s Travel. I was picked up from the airport, the instructions were clear, the service was amazing, and my driver got me to Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa without any issue. Getting out of the van was the start of my experience. The concierge of Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa welcomed me with fresh fruit water, champagne, and a cool towel. They took my bags and assisted me in getting to the desk. At the desk, I provided my name, confirmed my booking type and was checked in within minutes. As I arrived around 11:22 am and check-in wasn't until 3:00 pm, I had to wait to get assigned a room and get in. I was able to leave my luggage with the concierge, connect to the wi-fi, and begin my exploration of Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa. At 2:37 pm, my room was ready. I finalized my check-in, connected back with my concierge, Sergio, and was off to my room. As we walked, Sergio discussed the main area points of the resort and gave me the rundown on the shows, restaurants, and most important, the coffee. Arriving to my room was easy. The building was clean, offered amazing views, and the elevator worked and smelled tropical. As I opened my door to 2547, the experience of Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa went to an entirely different level as the design aesthetic of the room, amount of space, and class level took my breath away. I’m talking nothing but eye catching, comfort, design, and luxury. The King Size bed was in the perfect spot facing the patio which allowed me to take advantage of my pool/water front view. The organizational structure of the furniture afforded me the chance to have extreme comfort, though I wasn’t home. Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa truly kept the customer in mind when setting up the room. Sergio dropped my bags, welcomed me home, and I was on my way to continuing my experience. As I was traveling for a wedding, my first two days were filled with wedding prep on day 1 and the actual wedding itself on day 2, however, though I was busy, the wedding coordinator ensured to build the schedule so we had time to enjoy the offerings of Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa. I started my mornings in the Hot Tub, followed by the Infinity Pool, and ended my alone time in the ocean. Though the algae was in ABUNDANCE, Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa did their best to maintain the shoreline so we could get to the water. As I can’t blame the resort for what the ocean spits out, I appreciate their daily efforts to maintain the shore line and keep the pile up as minimal as possible. My time at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa allowed me to fall in love with resort life. Their food offerings, comfort setup, and balance was amazing. The staff provided superior service at all points of contact and Sergio (his name in English is George Clooney he said. LoL) was truly amazing. As I departed from Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa I was already checking my calendar to plan my next visit. Thank you to the entire Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa staff, Lomax Travel staff, and Special Thank you to, Sergio for my introduction and departure care provided during my stay at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort and Spa.

Underwhelming, Beware
Pros: Generally amazing service, good food, entertainment, and pools/beach Cons: EXTREMELY LOUD in the evenings. They will not address it. If you're expecting to get some rest and relaxation on your vacay or bringing young kids with early bedtimes, be VERY cautious of your room location. There are open air restaurants until 11pm, weddings until midnight, drunken guests in lobbies and hallways, and even resort-hosted shows in the middle of the week. Disappointed. No baby care, run down kids club using ozone machines round the clock, no cribs.

Relaxing Stay over Christmas
My spouse and I had a great time at this resort, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We visited the week before Christmas, and while it wasn't overly busy, the atmosphere was lively, airy, and felt welcoming. The lobby was decorated with a large Christmas tree, creating a festive vibe upon arrival. *Food* We tried all the dining options, and our favorite restaurant was "Oceana", which we frequented often. We loved their fresh grilled seafood specialties—their food and service were consistently great. It was also nice to sit poolside and enjoy the fresh air (though, if you sit too close to the pool, you might get splashed—just a heads-up!). The other restaurants, unfortunately, were not as memorable. However, "Seaside Grill" stood out on steak night—the meats were perfectly seasoned and cooked to our preference. *Accommodations* Our room was exactly as advertised. We thought it was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Luckily, we were placed on the top floor, so we didn’t have noisy neighbors above us. However, hallway noise and early-morning housekeeping can be noticeable, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. *Entertainment* The hotel offered nightly shows that were high-quality and professionally performed, which was a pleasant surprise. I appreciated that the performances were by trained professionals rather than amateur acts. Additionally, the hotel provided free excursions that were just enough for what we wanted. We took a free bike tour to Puerto Morelos and a free bus ride to Playa del Carmen—although, be aware that the bus ride includes a shopping experience and group travel with other hotel guests at different resorts. *Watch Out* We were told we had a "VIP experience" because we were Expedia members, but it turned out to be a bait-and-switch timeshare presentation. This was frustrating, as we had explicitly stated during check-in that we did not want to attend any timeshare presentations. Getting out of it was difficult due to the fees you may incur if you cancel. Ultimately, we went through with the experience, but it took a few hours of our day, with multiple salespeople approaching us in a drawn-out process. The only silver lining was that we received a free massage and spa credit at the resort. *Overall* The hotel was good, but it would have been even better if all the restaurants were as memorable, delicous, and amazing as "Oceana". All hotel staff were professional and courteous. The beach was nice for a walk—though due to the sand and seaweed, we didn’t go into the ocean. This resort is family-friendly, but it’s also a great option for couples looking to relax while avoiding an "adults-only" atmosphere.
