Thank you to a few wonderful workers who made our trip!

The five stars are solely based on the following workers: Roxana from the beach/pool area, Francisco Reyes from VIP services near the pool, Piero from near the pool who serves drinks. They are amazing workers who offered us EXCEPTIONAL customer service and treated us like family. They really made our trip so enjoyable and we really appreciate it. They went above and beyond to always do their best and treat us so well and they always had a great smile on their face! Other than that my complaints are as follows: the pool and jacuzzi surfaces were WAY TOO rough and they need to be repolished, it was hurting everyone's skin, including my kids. The app to book Hibachi DOES NOT WORK, the entire week every single day my family members and I waisted anywhere from 15- 60+ minutes trying to reserve and either it would freeze, crash to would book out within a few seconds. We spoke with the concierge and all they did was WAISTE our time and offered no help regarding this matter. Another complain it the rooms were very old and run down, the bedding was VERY uncomfortable, not soft at all...there was just one thin sheet that felt old between me and the mattress....I don't want to go to a hotel that. has uncomfortable bedding because part of the stay is how good the room and bedding is. Overall if it wasn't for these wonderful workers our trip wouldn't have gone so well because there were a lot of other issues along the way, few of which I mentioned. This was the fifth time my family and I visited dreams Playa Mujeres but sadly we have noticed the decline in how the hotel looks and feels, I think it needs updating and some changes in policy for some things.

    A dream come true

We Had an amazing stay at the resort. Our waiters were very attentive especially Ivan, Diana & Luis. They made our stay memorable. Service was undeniably amazing. Food is great and drinks were even better. One of the best resorts I ever stayed at.

Nice hotel, rude staff; not accommodating enough

Our plane had mechanical issues so we arrived pretty late about 10:30 PM and I had an 2 year old asleep on me. When we arrived they were very very rude. We also had to wait over 30 minutes for my daughter’s crib to arrive even though I called called three times before and asked them to please have it sent to the room early. We also requested to be somewhat close to our friends (maybe within the same building it’s okay if not right next door) or the building over, and we called about that twice too, and left a note in our reservation. However, they put us on complete opposite sides from each other at this resort. On day two they were able to switch us, but then we packed up the entire room had to let our kid nap in a pack n play in our friends shower and were without a room for four hours. We wanted to be by our friends so that we could have baby monitors and switch off for date nights. One of the days I left my key in the room and I walked all the way up to the lobby to replace it and they said it’s a $50 charge for losing the key. Then I explained but it’s in the room and then they said OK and gave me the key. I don’t get the point of this, are they just trying to get extra money? The keys cost like $.50 and he gave me a new key within three seconds. They were not very nice about it though. And the digital key option isn’t even working right now. We tried to sit outside at a table at the Mexican restaurant and the restaurant was totally empty not even busy, because we only have three toddlers and four adults, but they said there wasn’t enough room at the table. However, the table sits 6 adults. There was plenty of room. We sat at the same size table at the other restaurant the night before just fine. We had to eat inside, and it was not a crowded restaurant at all more than half of the seats were open. I just feel like everyone is really mean and rude and doesn’t accommodate you at all. Foods not bad, beach was okay, maybe April is the wrong time to go but it wasn’t crowded at least. Go before or after spring break never during. The hotel room is really nice however, I think all the staff need work.

    Food made us sick!

I couldn't wait to give this resort a great review, until 2/4 of my family got food poisoning. Upon arrival the resort is beautiful and well maintained. Staff is friendly and attentive for the most part. The huge amount of pool space was very appealing to us and ensured families have plenty of room to relax and play. Some reviews mention poor service or staff members "expecting tips" but we didn't see any of that. The nightly shows, ice cream shops and core zone (kids area) were big hits with our kids. The Core Zone is primarily for teens. They do have a "family time" every day from 10-12 where kids of all ages can come in and play. I do think an hour or so of family time in the evening would be a great idea and enjoyed by many kids of younger ages. Hibachi was great, Sergio was our chef and he made it a great experience for our entire family! Diego at the Fusion restaurant was the best server we had throughout our stay. Everything was great- until the sickness set in. We think our older son's food poisoning came from a burger cooked at a station they set up by the pool each day around lunch time. I got sick after eating lunch at the buffet and dinner at the Mexican restaurant, so I'm unsure where it came from. Overall, this resort is great in every aspect besides food safety, which is disappointing for an all inclusive.

    Back Again!

We had so much fun last year that we spent our Spring Break here again, and we enjoyed another amazing trip! We started our trip with a week with our family, 2 adults and a teen boy, enjoying the pools, restaurants, and entertainment. Once again, the staff took great care of us. It's amazing that they remembered our names, and our drinks! We opted for preferred and were really happy that we made this choice. Access to the preferred club, staff support, and cabanas really made a difference for us. Eduardo and Erick at the preferred bar make excellent cocktails and it gave us a nice little escape for a few evenings. Luis was our cabana waiter a few times, he was so friendly, attentive, and took great care of us throughout the day. This is a great family hotel. Our son, once again, made friends easily and was occupied throughout the day. The hotel is clean, safe, and spacious, offering a little something for everyone. He had fun playing football in the pool, beach volleyball, games at the teen club, and visiting Dolce multiple times per day. Every day, we were greeted by Alberto or Santiago to make sure we had everything we needed. Iroshi and Jose also checked in constantly which really made us feel welcome. Iroshi and the rest of the staff here is top notch and really works hard to make sure you have an enjoyable trip. We had special drinks and fun each and every day thanks to Abdias, Melvin, and Fernando (bebé). I can't say enough about how the staff goes above and beyond, and by the end of our trip we were sad to say adios! We also spent time here with friends that got married. The events leading up to the wedding were executed perfectly. They accommodated so many guests, requests, and really welcomed everyone. We had a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, I hosted a bachelorette party, spa day, in addition to the wedding; and everything was executed perfectly! We were able to request Abdias, nuestro hermano, to bartend the events. He was excellent! He made signature cocktails, took special requests, made sure everyone was enjoying themselves, and even surprised us with fruit art at the ceremony. He is truly a gift! It was so nice to return to this wonderful place and also introduce it to friends!. We can't wait to come back next year! A few pointers: - Download the app and plan your dinners each day if you want to enjoy all the restaurants. Not every restaurant is open every night so it was helpful to use this as a guide. - Some restaurants have a dress code, bring pants for males to wear to dinner. - The buffet is good for breakfast, but I don't recommend it for other meals. - Tip the staff!!! They work really hard, and this should be a no-brainer!
