The resort was beautiful and had great amenities. The food was very good, even the buffet was delicious. They had great staff and customer service. Jaime Lagunas, the pool concierge, was very accommodating and friendly. He made sure our experience was memorable. We will definitely come back, it was a great spot for a family vacation.

We'd go back...
Great vacation. Resort was beautiful, grounds lush, entertainment vivid, staff attentive, food delicious. 2 single moms and 3 boys, 8 9 12. They were as entertained and vacationed just as much as we did. Explorer's club was useful but really focused for kids under 8 I'd say - ours were bored most days but we'd just pop them back out to hang with us.

Great spring break with the family
Had a great time with my family at the Dreams Playa Mujeres over Spring Break. I was worried about crowding after reading some of the reviews but I almost never waited for food or drinks (we did eat early because of our kids so that probably helped). Staff was great and helpful whenever we needed anything. “Super” Mario at the Sea Legs swim up bar was outstanding, took time to get to know us, and had our drinks ready before we could even swim over to the bar. My kids wanted to make sure they said bye to Mario on our last day before we left. We were on the early side of dining and activities so I can’t really speak for the nightlife. Overall, it was a very fun vacation.

Dreams is a dream family vacation with tweens/teens!
Dreams beat all expectations for a vacation in paradise! We felt safe at all times, our family suite was amazing- the layout was perfect for our family - and the cleanliness and room service was five stars. We enjoyed all the entertainment- both daytime events in the pools- and night time magic, fire, and rock shows. The restaurants were quick to seat us and the waiters never rushed us. We ate wonderful meals - our favorites were the Mediterranean, World Cafe buffet and Mexican places. I’d recommend the preferred club - the lounge was well stocked with food all day - and the bartenders made excellent mango margaritas!! We ate breakfast in the lounge each day and could find delicious snacks and small bites during the day- this made preferred club worth it for us. The beach and pools were cleaned daily and not overcrowded. The only small gripe I have is that the pool chairs were claimed early. I set my alarm and got up each day to get two for our family to share. It was a small price to pay!! We didn’t get a Bali bed because those were usually taken - and we liked being in the sun. We went with our kids 11 & 15 and everyone had something to rave about - we can’t wait to go again to Dreams Playa Mujeres!

Excellent family vacation
Went during mid April 2025 and had a great experience. Tried every restaurant and cannot understand the reviews citing lack of quality food as everything we had was very tasty. Only had one meal that was a bit of a wait but it seemed like the restaurant was short staffed that evening as there were only two servers doing their best to keep things moving. The resort is beautiful, we stayed Preferred Club Ocean View in building 6 and thought it was perfect. All the pools were good, the waterpark and the water slides were fun and the lazy river was a nice break away from the crowds. Beach was also very nice with the beachfront Bali beds. The staff were excellent. Marlene, one of the drink servers, was here on loan from Secrets while it is being renovated and provided excellent service and would always stop by to check in with a smile on her face. It was always so nice to be in her section and seeing her. Johnathan (not sure I have the correct spelling of his name but he is one of the front of house staff at Mezes) made our trip. He went out of his way to interact with our son while we were waiting for the restaurant to open. He came back throughout the evening to check in on us and was just an absolute joy to be around. He made sure to see us before we left the next day and even brought a little gift for our son. He is a truly remarkable person who has a great heart and makes the resort a better place. It was an honour to meet him and we will always remember him fondly! We would love to come back to this resort one day.
