Apr 22, 2025Dreams Onyx. Overall great
Wonderful stay at this resort. I upgraded to a preferred swim up room and it was well worth it. The former room was fine but I wanted better pool and beach access. Overall the entire experience was excellent. There was one guest that had a daughter in a wheel chair that seems to want to bully people at the resort, which was strange to do on vacation. Also, the bulter could have done a better job describing the Property and its services. But truly overall great. I found the buffet better than most all inclusive, and the beach was very nice and clean. Staff were friendly and engaging. I would absolutely recommend.

Restaurants were extremely overcrowded and food was not the quality I expected. Beach activities were all closed due to some holiday and this was not relayed to us before we book the trip. Very disappointed! The buffet food was a better quality than the restaurants. If it were not for Juan, our Butler, the restaurant experience would’ve been horrible. All of the restaurants are overcrowded. The rooms were nice and the hotel staff was wonderful.

Apr 22, 2025Great holiday but Wi-Fi an issue
Overall experience was great, food was very good and staff were very friendly. A big call out to "Black Diamond" and gang. Show's were better than normal in these types of hotels!. Waterpark was tons of fun but our Grandson's enjoyed the beach and the sea the best! Our main problem was NO wi-fi or internet in room for the first 7 days, best day we maybe had an hour total. When its down it worst than being back in the 70's again as even the hotel phone dies as its part of the wi-fi also! After being moved to a new room everything was just great. This hotel is great for multi generations family's as there is something for everyone. If you need some adult time then a quick trip next door to Breathless will calm you down.

Vacation 2025
Every year our group vacations together. We chose Dreams Onyx this year. Our stay was a week long and our experience is something we will remember forever. We were in the Preferred Club for the check-in process which was completed quickly and without issue. Our butler, Nelson Sosa, was amazing. Anything we needed, he was there for us. A fold away bed for our daughter, towels, reservations, laundry or any other questions, you name it. He did it all. He texted us restaurant info including menus, daily activities and made sure we knew what was happening and when. He checked in on us daily. His attention to detail and follow-through was a very important reason for our trip being as great as it was. During our stay we had the opportunity to experience a lot of entertainment at the resort. During one of the days when we experienced a lot of rain, the entertainment staff was ready. There were activities and games and there was no way you could be brought down with this group of phenomenal staff. Our experiences with Junior, Black Diamond, Panda, Vero, and Shadow (my guy) will NEVER be forgotten. Each of them left an impression on our group that will remain forever. Even when sitting with 100 people in the courtyard, on the beach, or near the pool, they remembered who we were. Our names, our families, our friends. They personally invested in us, which in turn made us do the same and feel a connection, not only to the resort but to them. We were so lucky to have met them and, quite honestly, they solidified the desire to return. No vacation would be complete without drinks. Whether at the preferred pool with Ismael or by the main pool with Abraham. The Prelude staff, or the Plaza bar where we met Yeremy, Esterlin, and Carolin. All the staff were excellent but those mentioned are at the next level. Attentive to what drinks we have been ordering and remembering what they were… we weren’t the only people in the area, either. They remembered us and they kept an eye on us and never let our drinks get low. Yeremy, Esterlin, and Carolin were excellent interacting with our group and making us feel like family. During this trip “Family” was used a lot. The staff members named above definitely made us feel like family. Thank You!

Best family resort
Just returned April 21 2025. Best family resort I ever brought family and friends to. We had first floor rooms which was great on family side by lazy river. We used our room for home base. For all basic needs with 12 people. Everyone loved lazy river and pool above. Did not go to regular pool as chairs were usually covered with towels by 8:30. Always something for everyone to eat. The buffet had everything a person could want and the specialty restaurants were very good. Shout out to swim up bar at lazy River to Alexander, Moise, Peter, and in lobby bar family side Nelson and Rosibelis. I bet if you tell my new buddy Alexander that Butch sent you, you will get a double! One more shout out to butler Rafael who took care part of our group couple whom stayed on the premium side. He personally made sure we had all of our reservations made at the special restaurants. We did not spend much time on the beach except maybe for a few hours in the morning before the pool opened up at 10. The beach was always clean and plenty of chairs. Towels were always available at every towel, shack or stacked up somewhere around the lazy river. I highly recommend this resort
