Family Vacation
We stayed at Dreams Natura from April 12th to 19th as Preferred Club Members, during which time we were joined by four other families arriving on varying dates. Our pre-booked semi-private transfer with AMSTAR did not meet expectations. Despite an anticipated 20–25-minute journey, the commute extended to over one hour. Contrary to the expectation of being the first drop-off due to being closest to the airport, we were the last of three stops, effectively passing the resort and doubling back without advising us first. Check-in was efficient, and our room was available upon arrival and found to be clean. However, we experienced issues with slow drainage in both bathroom sinks, which worsened and eventually ceased functioning towards the end of our stay. Our initial dining experience at the Blue Water Grill highlighted potential staffing shortages. While our server was attentive and tried to manage his numerous tables effectively, the extended wait time for our meal (one hour for two club sandwiches) was not pleasant. No reservations at the restaurants forcing you to dine early or eat at the buffet on most nights. The white sand beach was pleasing, with seaweed removal occurring on four of our seven days. However, the significant presence of rocks in the ocean posed a considerable risk of injury to those entering the water. The beach was closed pretty much every day of our stay due to the presence of crocodiles that occasionally frequent the beach and water, reportedly due to the resort's eco-friendly nature. The closure of the beach understandably led to significant overcrowding at the pools. Lounge chairs were situated extremely close together, and availability was limited. This scarcity resulted in guests utilizing chairs from the designated “Preferred/Adults Only” pool area. The single staff member assigned to this pool was visibly overwhelmed attempting to enforce the rules and address guest complaints, often requiring them to leave their designated post. As a result, the “adults only” policy became unenforceable, with families bringing children into the area due to the lack of alternative options. Furthermore, the provision of only one single-stall washroom by the pool was not sufficient for the number of guests. Overall, our experience with the beach and pool facilities was unsatisfactory. Also, be prepared to wake up at 5am to get a spot despite there "no reserving chairs" policy. Our experience at the gymnasium was excellent. We commend Mario for his professionalism, friendliness, and the cleanliness of the facility. His assistance, particularly with setting up my first Peloton ride, was greatly appreciated. We also wish to acknowledge the exceptional service provided by Alfredo Estrada at El Patio Mexican Restaurant. He made our brother’s birthday dinner a truly memorable occasion. His attentiveness and service were such that we chose to dine there a second time. Finally, Lizbeth, a staff at the main lobby bar, provided outstanding customer service. Her friendly demeanor and efficient service significantly made our evenings enjoyable. Overall, the trip was good, but I would not be returning to this resort.

Best dinner going
Great rooms, amazing food, and the best service we have had. A special thanks to Eduardo at Bordeaux for going above and beyond. Your recommendations did not disappoint. Thank you for all the attention and service with a smile. Highly recommend.

A nice getaway with kids... probably wouldn't return in the future.
We stayed at Dreams Natura during our spring break trip in March. Overall, it was a good stay. The property is older than what my research showed (before I booked it), so I am guessing the date displayed is based on when the Hyatt acquired the property. All in all, it was a nice getaway with small kids, but I don't believe I would stay there again. Here are my highlights and lowlights: Pros: -The property is really pretty, and the common areas are well kept. -The Room Service staff were incredible. My toddler has an allergy to the protein in milk and requires a special milk. I was unable to fly with her milk, so I was stuck figuring it out once we got there. The Room Service staff found the milk we needed, chilled it, and brought it to our room. They also left me with plenty of stock so we had enough for our whole stay. -Being a member of the Preferred Club made quick meals and snacks extremely convenient/easy with small kids. The bar staff in the Preferred Club, especially Luis, were also extremely kind and accommodating. The concierges for the Preferred Club were also pretty great. -There are plenty of pool activities and room to move around on the property -The ice cream shoppe was a major perk for us. It was so nice and convenient to be able to quickly grab a sweet treat. Cons: -The food situation needs some serious updating. They don't dinner reservations, which is great at first, until you realize how bad the system is. Basically, you need to make it to dinner by 4:30 pm to get on the list, or you will wait at least 2 hours for a reservation. So, in our 5 day stay, we had to eat at the buffet 3 of those days. The dinner buffet is blah. Our small kids were fine with it, but as an adult, I found myself eating the kid pizza, bc the other food was a miss every time. -The rooms were clean, but there was noticeable black mold on the brims of the sinks. Our bathroom trash can also had black mold on it. I am extremely allergic to mold, so I had a hard time being in our room/bathroom. -They have signs around the pool saying you can't reserve chairs, but absolutely no one enforces that, so you better be ready to wake up early while you're on vacation. If you go down around 6 am, you're able to reserve a pretty good spot. If you wait until 7am, you might as well go back to bed, bc everything will be taken. -The bar staff around the pools are not very friendly - especially, the swim up bar. Most of the bar staff are interested in getting you in and out as fast as possible. I know they are just humans, and some people can be impatient. But, I felt dismissed/rushed in and out every time. It's worth noting, I did not feel this way at other bars in the resort. The swim up bar staff were extremely rude and stand-offish to me and my kids. -We had an ocean view junior suite with a terrace. The terrace had title right in the center that was buckling, which was really unsafe for small kids.

Underwhelming
Although the staff was quite attentive, responsive and courteous, the hotel itself was too full, there was never a sunbed available by the pool, even as early as 7AM all were taken, the pool are was not well cleaned/maintained. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, but it lacked electrical plugs (other than on the bathroom, there was only one, taken by the coffee machine; also a couple of USB type A plugs by the bedside table, unusable for my devices which are USB type C.

Great view, not good beach. Good Restaurants, not good drinks.
Nice hotel and well kept. Great staff. The beach has so much seaweed you cannot walk on in and certainly cant swim in it. It is beautiful, so if you just want to view, you are good. We wanted to walk in the water and maybe even swim, you cannot. Pools were beautiful, but a bit cold. The restaurant's food was good, the buffet was so-so (but I do think that about most buffets). The drinks were just bad, over 5 days I did not really have one drink I liked and I do not think I am that picky. Beer is a good choice, cold and pre-made. Lots for kids to do, but I will mention it again, the water was cold. My kids 8 and 7 even found it cold. Despite whatever shortfalls, it was a nice resort and we had a good trip, I do not think I would return due to the beach. Oh yea, the shows at night were very good I thought.
