Great Hotel, Great Staff, Great Vacation, Amazing Time
Our trip to the Dominican Republic was great! We booked through Costco Travel, and we were well taken care of by Costco’s partner, Destination Services. Our Tour Partner Louisa, worked with us on site and we would highly recommend them for pick up at the airport and return travel from the hotel. Additionally, she also booked a great excursion for us! We enjoyed snorkeling, a sand bar, and a refreshing natural water pool. We stayed at Dreams Macao- Punta Cana - Hyatt a Luxury All inclusive Resort. From the moment we walked on the property until we departed, we had the most exquisite experience. We opted for the premier experience which was well worth it. Special thanks to every staff member- but the following really made a difference in our stay: Butler- Francisco Santana, Hostess- Alexandra, Spa Services- Deiby S, Pricilla, Josefa and Candra, Pool services- Rossy and J. Ventura, Hibachi Chef- Juan Carlos and last but not least our wine specialist- Angel. Everyone made my sisters Birthday great and very memorable! Francisco arranged for a beautiful birthday sash for the door, a cake and some balloons- which was such a nice touch. The hotel is located on the beach, but there is quite a surf there, so swimming in the ocean was limited when we were there, but there are many pools and we got our fill of ocean swimming on the excursion. The Lazy River was fun! Beds were comfortable! There are a number of options for food and dining. Seafood, Mexican, French, Italian, Grill and Buffet. The weather was great and the views are stunning. The hotel hosts events nightly, and tons of activities for kids to adults. Great location, clean, fun great service, cute cats, friendly staff and we even learned a little bit of Spanish which was fun and appreciated! Hope to go back next year!

Good vacation
Weather, beach, pools, rooms, service, teen 13-17yr old entertainment (lazy river, dance club, pool hall/video games, teen cove) all very good. Food was average. I was hoping for more fresh seafood options. Entertainment was good, some evenings better than others. We scheduled a large catamaran boat for our group. So much fun!

Nice resort
Overall, our experience was good. The food and all staff (servers, food preparers, housekeeping) were wonderful. Not the fault of the resort, but the ocean was always rough and we were unable to swim unless we walked about a quarter mile to where the bluffs were.

AVOID AT ALL COST
I wouldn't sent my worst enemy here. Please avoid at all cost till they improve on these key things. 1. Reservation process. This was a nightmare. I put a deposit down in sept 2023 for march 2024 travel. Everything went through. Then 2 weeks before my trip I get an email from a random Hyatt representative saying final payment was decline and that I need to update my credit card info. No details on what reservation he was referring to, what hotel, dates, room, etc. I responded back to the representative and the email got kicked back for being an invalid email. I thought this was spam because of this and ignored the email. I also even emailed everyone CCed on the representative email. Half got kicked back or I did not get a response. Then I went ahead and updated my credit card info via the confirmation email I received in sept 2023. 1 day later, I get an email saying my room has been cancelled. I get on the phone with the reservation team for a total of 6 hours over 3 days trying to resolve this. I tried to rebook at the same rate as sept 2023. Unfortunately the first night of my stay nothing is available. Seems like they over sold the rooms and auto cancelled mine. I fought for it and finally they told me to stay at a relatives room or adjust my dates instead... That was the solution they gave me. I plan to stay at my relatives room (this trip is for a wedding). 3 days before the trip, I check and the rooms are available. I call to book it on the same rate and to add to my existing reservation. It was not possible. Dont get me started on the check in process.. Overall just avoid. Pay less and go to a better resort nearby. 2. Food. Food was terrible. I went to sleep hungry most nights and actually lost weight at this all inclusive. Old stale breakfast potatoes. Dry chicken. Burnt rice at the hibachi. Watery nacho cheese. Scraps of meat when ordering a fajita at the El Patio restaurant. Other relatives with me noticed roaches inside the coco cafe sandwich area... 3. Front desk staff. Rude. My cousin asked for some change while checking out and the front desk guy got confused and started speaking to his colleague in Spanish and didn't realized we understand it being from Texas. He was calling us crazy A-holes to his colleague. If we weren't half way out the door and in a foreign country I would of decked the guy in his face. Pros: 1. Spa 2. Pasta station 3. Bunch of pools and good beach Overall save your money and avoid. Trust me. You will thank me later

Exceeded expectations
Exceeded expectations. We didn’t have high hopes based off the different Facebook groups and reviews, but found out quickly they were not consistent with our experience. Have been to 6 or 7 Dreams properties and we aren’t sure if this one can be topped in regards to layout, cleanliness, aesthetics(new helps a ton), beach, and most importantly the staff. The staff really separates this resort from the others. I may misspell some names but when you go these are the amazing people that made our experience personalized and special: Explorer’s Club Lindura Moana Lindura Rosa Our 9 year old daughter spent time with them on multiple occasions and rarely wanted to leave. Thank you she missed you all on the way home! Rossey(preferred pool) always smiling Moises(took care of us with finding us chairs and bringing drinks by the lazy river and slides) Luis(family preferred pool helped us get chairs and always taking care of us) Harlam(our butler checked in constantly and helped us resolve some potential challenges with our reservation, always finding a solution) Johy Bravo and the entire entertainment team -Jhony quickly connected with us, helping us at the silent disco get headphones for us and our daughter, making a point when he saw us to check in and see how we were doing, ask if he could help, encouraging us to go to the nightly entertainment, helping our daughter get to enter the painting contest There was a particular performer/dancer that even worked with our daughter after their shows, showing her dance moves, etc. These are the little things that make Dreams Macao a special place for our family. Thank you all for an amazing experience!
