First, I would like to say the resort was very clean and very well maintained. The restaurants were good and buffet was outstanding. The staff was also very attentive and friendly. The bad: this hotel is set up for families with children so when my wife and I wanted to go to the pool to swim and lounge around with a cocktail, kids were everywhere and always very loud. There was an 'adults only' pool but was restricted to Preferred guests which we were not. This situation came up again when selecting a sit down restaurant for dinner. The Oceana restaurant (the only place with seafood) was also for Preferred guests only. For this reason I will not choose a Hyatt property again.

Honest UK Visitor Review
We just came back from 9 nights at Dreams - 5 of us over 2 different rooms (Preferred Club ) Can I first of all say how great all the staff were across the entire hotel, Always there to help and kept the place amazingly clean This was our 2nd Trip to Dominican having previously stayed in Secrets Cap Cana (Adults Only) only this time we thought we would take the kids with us (3 Teens) The positives : Super Friendly Staff, they helped in every way they could Very Clean , the grounds are kept in great condition Good Spa, expensive but you can use the discounts you get when checking in Clean beach - Rough Sea but nice beach, especially the preferred part. The Negatives: Food. Lot's of options for food (6 A-La-Carte) and we tried them all, Good menus but everything was served just warm, none of the food we had over the 9 days was hot enough which was disappointing. Entertainment: The shows were all poor compared to other entertainment we have seen especially the Magic Show. The Circus was ok but otherwise it was mediocre at best and nothing really to do after that Sunbeds: Although the Policy clearly says that Towels will be removed if left over 1 hour and before 9am you will find all the sunbeds gone by 7,30am around most pools. This also included the Preferred one where people left towels for several hours as they vanished for Lunch and breakfast. The only pool not to have this iss was the adults only preferred which was excellent but of course no good if you have kids. Overall it was a good trip but compared to Secrets (Standard price not Preferred) this doesnt come close. In our view the upgrade just isnt worth it and there are better resorts.

Apr 22, 2025The perfect mix of family and adult time!
This was the perfect vacation for our family! The kids (11 and 9) had enough freedom (that we felt totally comfortable with) and really enjoyed the independence at things like the arcade, water park, kids' club and zipline while the adults enjoyed lounging on the pool or beach and at adult only restaurants for dinner. The hotel's staff was AMAZING and remembered us from day to day! They are still talking about Leo, Papa Chicken and Moises Medina! The evening entertainment was the perfect time for us all to meet back up and end the night together!

Highs & Lows of Dreams Macao
The hotel was exactly what I'd expect from a family friendly all inclusive resort. There was a lot of for the kid's to do (we were with 10 kids ages 6-12yrs). Food was very subpar. Rooms were subpar. Would not return but had fun while we were there.

Best Punta Cana' Resort
Beautiful resort with amazing people. This resort has something for everyone, zipline, wall climbing, lazy river, a water park for the little ones and another one for older kids and adults, the pools and the beach are stunning. The food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely go back. We loved Dreams Macao.
