Not too big well run hotel.

First, this is not a holiday complex, just a good sized five storey single building hotel among others along the beach. It's a bit isolated about 20+min out of town on a fast dual carriageway, taxis are recommended. There isn't much to do outside, some nice restaurants in both the town and along the coast. I went on a couple of tours through the hotel, interesting but not exciting. On booking in they will want to put an 800 Mexican Pesos holding charge on your credit card against any extras you may run up but you can stand your ground against it, it is a full all inclusive venue. A good tip is that you can see your current account throughout your stay on your room TV, in my case they charged a day rate that they assure me will be deleted before departure and it was. There is a buffet plus a quieter table service restaurant for breakfast most days but check each day as not all lunch & evening dinner restaurants are open every day. The hotel is not designed for people to stay inside, only rooms and the enclosed restaurant have a/c. If you want a super quiet room get one overlooking the adult's pool, the main pool has some noisy things happening during the day and early evening but it's not a problem with your window doors closed. I was in only the second group of Brits (November 2019, direct flight) they had seen, its very much a short stay (3-5 nights) American and Canadian destination. A lot more children than I was expecting, yes I know as an older single traveller, I should have booked an adult only hotel. And I now find out that Secrets, same hotel group is an adult only chain, live and learn! Please see my note about pools below. They said that normally their 'wet' session ends in October but we had a couple of good storms while I was there. On arrival at the airport there seemed to be long queues at all points, passport, luggage collection and then custom’s wanting a new form, I had done mine online as requested but this don't seem to be right! Good points - - Rooms are of a good size, nice and clean with good a/c, plus a good sized controllable ceiling fan. Maid service comes three times on a normal day, morning, bed and room clean, later they refill the water and mini bar. Then early evening they turn the bed down and prep the room again. Room service is available 24 hours a day with a good menu and good speedy service. As far as I was concerned the adult only pool was the place for me, relaxed with warm water in the pool plus its own swim up bar and reasonable bar service to your sunlounger. Great food, there is genuine gourmet service somewhere in the hotel for almost every meal. Plus fast food served from the bar on the beach during the day. Tipping is not such a big thing here but it helps. Site security is tight, so no need for any wristbands. All the staff work very hard all the time to keep their guests happy and again did they work during the storm (30 hours of rain and wind) to clear up and keep on top of things. Plenty of good clean toilets around the grounds. During my time here (November) it got much quieter early midweek with some limited restaurant openings throughout the day and evening. Strong free WiFi all over the hotel. Plenty of lifts throughout the hotel allowing you to get quickly to where you want to go, once you have worked out the layout of the place. The best interactive hotel room TV information point I have seen, most don't really work. Specialist coffee shop (Coco Cafe) that also has some nice small snacks; fruit, sticky things and sandwiches, open 24/7. Less good points -- First night I ate (Friday) I think they must have been nearly full because the restaurants were having trouble coping with everyone wanting to eat earlyish at 8pm. If there is an evening buffet it can be a bit 'lacking', not that hot, not terribly interesting and they are a bit slow topping things up. Sometimes on the breakfast buffet they also seem to run out of things, one morning it was scrambled eggs! Not well set up for wet days (and boy was it wet with a 30 hour storm that they were not really expecting), it closed half the restaurants, all the ones that are outside, plus there are very few dry open areas in the hotel. No swimming in the sea, from what I can workout out it is far too dangerous to ever swim off the hotels beach, in fact it's roped off!

    Last Night in Paradise 💞

My husband and I had a beautiful dinner at Bordeaux French inspired restaurant at the Dreams Resort. From the moment we were greeted by Manager Angel to being seated it was all very personable. Our server was Isaac and he was fantastic! Between he and Angel they gave us excellent service. The chef prepared a special selection for us and Angel prepared a fruit flambee tableside and Isaac did his own version of a flaming coffee tableside as well. From wine service, starters and main course we felt the service and attention to detail was incredible. We had the best dinner of our vacation tonight! Angel, Isaac and the rest of the team are a huge asset to the Dreams Resort! We loved every minute we were with them!!

    Quarantine Self Care

Such an amazing experience this week at Dreams Los Cabos! We were the first guests after 3 months of being closed and they have treated us like super stars!!! The hotel manager came out to greet us and give us flowers! All these workers are such a blessing to the industry and we feel lucky to have shared in these first few days as they reopened. People that were particularly helpful to our check in were the UVC associates, Helios, Oscar and Fabi. They checked in on us everyday to make sure we knew about the day's events and that we had everything we needed. The Activities team, from Director Jesus Pique to his whole crew; Julio, Joyce, Natalia, Jose, Rolfi,Ivet and Jazmin. They filled our days with fun from football in the pool, to bingo and dancing! While at the pool everyday Luis and Elsa took care of all our needs. There was never a moment I didn't feel loved, they are so special! All the restaurant staff treated us well, knew our names, asked about allergies and so on. They made every effort to get to know us, from manager Omar, and staff Francisco, Angel, Martin, Irvin, JonPol, and hostesses for Seaside Grill, Portofino and Bordeaux. Preferred Lounge server was amazing too as were the two ladies in Coco Cafe. Apologies for those others who served us but who's names I don't remember. Although we never got the chance to meet them our housekeepers did a fabulous job, sanitizing our suite in preparation for our stay and the daily upkeep and turn down service was excellent. They anticipated our needs on a daily basis. No detail was forgotten and we felt completely normal and safe staying here at Dreams. Our health and well being is their top priority and they have taken strict measures to ensure we are safe and happy during our stay. We can't wait to return "home" to Dreams! Hasta Pronto! #dreamsloscabos #nobaddays #34 years

    Excellent family vacation experience

This was an after Christmas family holiday with my two daughters, son-in-law and three grandsons. The staff at Dreams Los Cabo’s made our vacation one to remember from start to finish. Our rooms immaculate, the food at all restaurants was wonderful, service of all staff members above average. I was so impressed as I would walk through the hallways day or night not a staff member from cleaning staff to maintenance or management would pass you without a friendly greeting. As we were an all age group I was also very impressed that we all got the same welcomed feeling from you all at Dreams. I have been late sending in this review as once we got home and settled after the holidays this terrible Covid-19 pandemic has hit us all. I know your hotel is currently closed due to the pandemic but I wanted to extend my thoughts and prayers to all the wonderful staff and their families and hope you are all safe. I would like to mention several special people by name that helped make our trip so special, Mauricio and Daniel from Seaside, Luis from the pool staff and Juan at the World Cafe that started my Grandsons off with their first shooters (virgin of course). LOL! I could go on and on about all the restaurants and special moments we had. Please if you have the chance visit this resort and support the community that will need a lot of help getting back on their feet again. Thank-you so much for my families special memories, wishing you all health and happiness until we meet again.

    Family Trip

I stayed at Dreams Los Cabos with 14 family members in mid March. The facility was very nice. The staff was always friendly. This was especially important since we were there at the beginning off the Covid-19 pandemic. During our departure process, which was a little stressful, one of the employees Cecilia (I hope I am spelling this correctly) went above and beyond to help us get our arrangements in order. I would recommend this resort to anyone.
