Not worth it!
The rooms are old and in places the walls are crumbling. The food is extremely salty. The pools are great as are the activity staff. Most waitstaff are not friendly. Not very clean. Dishes and glasses are gross sometimes. Sked for extra towels, had to reach out again 4 hours later as my towels still had not arrived. Definitely not worth it.

Dreams Jade - Fun Family Vacation
Dreams Jade was ok. Not great but definitely not terrible. We paid for the Preferred Club (PC) and to us it is (was) totally worth it. PC concierge ZULE is fantastic. Anything we needed, she made sure it was handled. CAROLINE & MICHELLE in the PC bar, made the most excellent drinks - we looked forward to visiting w/ them in the evenings before dinner. Pools were decent. The entertainment staff always got the crowd involved & were fun. The swim up bartender at the activities pool (EDUARDO) was awesome. Always ready with a wink, a smile & cold drink that was made very well. EDDER was our pool area server & never missed us when he was making rounds. At the PC pool OMAR was our guy - funny with jokes and the best service. Restaurants were just ok. Buffet was very small and boring. Our favorite restaurants were Mexican, Hibachi (LUIS the +6ft tall chef was incredible) & Italian (ERIK was super attentive & did a great job). The French restaurant serves ala cart breakfast for PC guests. This was a hidden gem. Food was hot and very good. TIMOTEO was our server here for breakfast & transferred to Castaways in the afternoon for lunch. He was fabulous. All my years to Mexico (been travelling to Cancun almost yearly since 1987) the people are what make the experience. I wish I could tag them all because they work so hard & most really do a great job & deserve recognition but these are the names that stood out to us. The sargassum made the beach gross but there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. The hotel had workers daily trying to keep up with it but forget it. In my opinion the hotel was very clean, the rooms were nice & cleaned/stocked daily, the pool area could have been attended to a bit more there were band aids & wet napkins on the ground. Food was fair. Mixed drinks anywhere other than the PC lounge were not very good. There is a lot for the kids to do & at the end of the day everything was very doable. It is Mexico and you are on vacation. If you want the Ritz then you need to pay for that and stay there. :)

Just average
Recently returned from a family vacation which included two teenage boys. We have been to many of Secrets resorts and this was our third Dreams resorts. We are members of UVC so are very loyal to the brand as we have had great experiences, for the most part. With that being said, we were just a little underwhelmed by the resort and overall experience. Perhaps I am comparing it to our experience at Secrets and that may not be fair, but here goes. Food - nothing special. Very average with nothing that blew us away. Resort - Very nice, pool area was great, bar was good. Staff - highly understaffed. From the bar to the the lack of any pool attendants, to the wait staff in the restaurants. They really need more staff to keep up with the guest volume. Some days, during breakfast, it took forever to even get a cup of coffee, let alone it being refilled. Rooms - averge and maybe a bit dated. We had two rooms... our room temparature was fine, and got quite cold. My kids room was warm and even after contacting maintenance, it did not improve. Beach - yes, there is sargasm seaweed... nothing that can be done about that. they do their best with cleaning it on a daily basis, but its a losing battle. Some days were better than others. Secrets Moxhe had this great floating barrier away from the shore which prevented the seaweed from reaching the shore line, would be great if they installed that. Also, the smell was present at times. Again, its the time of year and they are doing their best. Setup - not the best layout but that may be that they bought the property after it changed over to Dreams. No theater, so all shows are in an open air setting so on hot nights, its not very comfortable. Also, the breakfast buffet area is not great with the setup so it creates lines and bottlenecks. Drinks - all good, no complaints! Overall, it was just ok. Not as luxurious as others and none of the aforementioned ruined our trip. We are very loyal to the brand so this is honest. Already have two more trips to Hyatt inclusive properites later this summer!

Disappointing experience, but has potential
Very disappointing stay. Food not good, rooms old and worn down, service from waiters and house keeping were good. Management of preferred club (Roberto) disappointing and didn't care to make our stay good. He eventually tried to apologize, but he and the hotel had disappointed us so much by that point, that it was pointless. Plus, he didn't try to apologize or make things right until I spoke with a couple terpart of his. We had issue, after issue. Preferred club is also a waste if you have children. No access to the pool if you have kids. No reservations for restaurants. We had a leak in our room, there was also a leak in the room below us, so we had to let maintenance into our room to fix that as well. Honest review, I would put this at a 4 star, not a 5 star because of the weak food and worn down rooms.

Great Stay!
This was a great experience! Preferred club upgrade was totally worth it, with great staff and bartenders by the pool and in the lounge. Speciality restaurants had lots of options and were fairly great food experiences. Buffet had a great variety and high quality for a buffet! Gym was clean and nice to use. Pools and common bars were always fun and ready to serve! Overall a great vacation here!
