Truly an improved food selection and preparation. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was very professional and nice.

Jul 19, 2025We celebrated our granddaughter’s 13th birthday at Dreams. We spent an afternoon at the spa and it was wonderful. The staff was exceptional… Yesenia and Beni exceeded our expectations. They were extremely warm and accommodating. At the end of our massages they surprised Nikola with a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday. I highly recommend that you visit the spa at Dreams Dominicus La Romana during your stay.

I loved the people, the food, the entertainment, the beach, and the rooms are comfortable. I also got to enjoy the spa. I would definitely come back.

Jul 18, 2025Spent 10 days there in June 2025, second time at this resort in 12 months. For the price paid for the holiday it was ok, nothing exceptional. Bad Points 1) We aimed to eat at around 8:30pm most evenings, thinking the main rush would have happened by now, how wrong we were. The restaurants we very busy with a wait time of over 60-90 minutes to get seated for the main evening meal (French / Italian) Ended going to the preferred restaurant which was part of our package every night, so after 10 days vacation, the menu seemed very repetitive with limitations on what to choose. 2) Main restaurant for all hotel stayers, very busy, tables not cleaned and very limited selection of food, again had to wait a considerable amount of time to be seated. 3) Wi-Fi in the hotel is probably the worst I've ever experienced. I do appreciate this might not be an issue for some, however I do like to keep in contact via What's app with family back at home and also the ring security camera's at my home. Basically the Wi-Fi was not to download a very small file, let alone do what's app messaging. There was no Wi-Fi coverage in around 95% - 99% of the hotel. 4) Very limited shade and shelters on the main beach for none preferred guests. Good Points 1) The beach is white clear sand with good shade if in the preferred section. 2) Waiters and hotel staff work tirelessly to supply drinks and make your stay enjoyable. 3) Sea water is very clear and calm, not like at Punta Cana. 4) Rooms (Preferred suite) Good size with one king-size bed in bedroom, plus one living room. Room facilities were adequate with good aircon throughout both rooms. Cleanliness was good, room maid did an excellent each day, plus towels were regularly changed. 5) BBQ at the preferred restaurant on a Tuesday evening, good selection of food and nice entertainment. Would be good to repeat his more than once per week. All in all it wasn't a bad holiday, however more attention is required to make it an excellent holiday. The Wi-Fi and eating arrangements do need to be looked into, otherwise I suspect guests will start looking at alternatives, and there are alternatives if people are prepared to look elsewhere.
