Excellent Family Vacay!
Four of us travelled as a Family. Our son recommended the Dreams Dominicus La Romana and we were very happy with his selection. We stayed in Preferred Club Rooms building 64 and 65 very close to the restaurants, main swimming pool and to the gorgeous beach! For breakfast we first visited the Coco Cafe to get our daily shot of strong coffee, then we went to the main buffet restaurant, which offers a delicious selection of local and international dishes. We love to seat outdoors and after a few days we got welcome to our garden table by the ever-pleasant Ramon and his smiling companion Pablo. When you speak Spanish, the interaction with the local staff transforms into a familiar encounter, filled with a warm laughter and welcoming faces. In the evenings we were warmly welcome by Andrea and her friends. For lunch sometimes we visited the Preferred Club restaurant, which is directly on the beach. For dinner the four specialty restaurants, where you don't need to make reservations, offer excellent meals, from Italian, Grill, Japanese and our favourite, the French Restaurant for its menu and elegant setting. During the day, the main attraction was the gorgeous BAYAHIBE BEACH! Wow, the water is so wonderful, most of the time, we just walked in to be refreshed, surrounded by the magnificent Caribbean colours. Some days we had a few waves, which made by husband and my adult children happy. Around the resort, there were small groups of singers and musicians playing wonderful music. I loved the ones who played directly at the pool side, oh how much I enjoyed dancing in the pool to the happy Latin rhythms! For the evenings, we went out, all nicely dress, and after enjoying our first-class meals, we were entertained by the ever-active entertainment group of dancers, singers and staff members, who set up elaborate sceneries. For me the most beautiful show I have ever seen in a hotel setting was the Water and Fire show! The girls and guys presented a very professional spectacle, it was magical! The hotel also has various bars where musicians entertain the guest, who can drink a great selection of cocktails, beers and wines, including the famous Mamajuana! I would suggest having in the bars some peanuts, chips or nibbles to go with the drinks. We certainly will recommend the Dreams Dominicus La Romana, just an hour drive from Punta Cana airport, for it location on beautiful Bayahibe Beach, its hotel quality and specially its staff! It was a Dream!
First time in the Dominican Republic and I must admit Dreams Dominicus La Romana did not disappoint! From the very first moment we arrived at the hotel we felt at home. We were greeted with a very welcoming smile and check in was pretty straight forward, taking a maximum of 10 mins just to go through everything! Resort wise there's plenty going on to keep everyone entertained all day. Staff is brilliant and they look after you. We were a group of 9 adults and a 1-year-old and every time we needed something staff were very accommodating with all our requests. The beach was absolutely beautiful, if I had to pick a fault it would be the lack of shade/umbrellas. The bars were all okay. The lobby bar and the small one by the pool were by far the best ones in terms of cleanliness. The grill's one and the swim up bar had me thinking twice before accepting my drinks. Don't be expecting the cocktail shaker to be rinsed in between recipes!! (one quick rinse wouldn't hurt anyone!) Restaurants, the Buffet was my go-to!! Food was great and staff was very welcoming! A big shout out to Erika who always looked after us! We were always welcomed with a big smile and all the waiters made sure we had water on our tablet at all times as well as making sure we had other drinks. Just be aware, you may struggle to find plates at peak times! There were a couple of days where we couldn't find any during breakfast and dinner. We had an incident at the Italian restaurant where one of the main dishes was uneatable. We reported it to the manager and in all fairness, they apologized. The days following the incident all staff made sure we were ok as they wanted to make sure it wouldn't happen again. The rooms were nice and spacious! I loved the high ceilings. A few things could do with a bit of TLC, especially when you're paying alot of money to go that way, but nothing major that would force me to make a complaint! All in all, a very nice and welcoming environment, where you can just sit back and enjoy the Caribbean sea, with a great team looking after you and making sure you have a great time while you're there!

Good experience
Good beach and good facilites. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cleaning staff very helpful.. Need more shades on the beach and more chairs at the polls. The restaurant needs to have more options on grilled foods, meat was always the same. Overall very good and I recommend it.

Best Beach!!!
Spent a week here for my nephew’s wedding. Fantastic experience. Best beach in the area. Friendly and helpful staff. Japanese restaurant was my favourite. Could’ve eaten there every dinner. 24hr coffee shop was great since I’m a very early riser. Would most definitely come back to this resort! There was over 50 people in our group and no one had any issues with the food.
