Great!
This resort is a great family place. Food is great, better than many resort I have been to, the service is great. You can tell the employees are genuinely happy and nice. The kids place is amazing, my kids just couldn’t wait to spend all day with the ladies there. Love it

A Gem South of Cancun
This spot was an extremely great place to be. Nice people, food, drinks, and a consistency to keep the entire hotel clean. This is the sort of place you can go to and know that you will be taken care of.

The bad reviews are just louder- this is 10/10
We are leaving after 10 days Party of 6. 4 adults 2 kids aging 12 and 10. This is our 8th time at this specific resort and 2nd since the remodel. We are preferred club, I must say- having the bar and snacks at the end of the 7th floor. Top shelf liquor is great. We have always done preferred. It’s worth the extra $. Every pallet. Every opinion is different. But there is something to surely get your belly full. Even picky eaters can find SOMETHING. If you seek bad here. You will find it. If you seek good. Then you’ll find it. However. SMALL resort is where it’s at. Better food as they make smaller quantities. Noted- is to eat dinner early like 6, any later and the wait time can be up to an hour and a half, at any given restaurant. They know your name and what you prefer to drink by the end of day 1, kids included. The staff is exceptional! Top notch kindness and full of fun! Nightly shows. Tend to repeat themselves if you’re here longer than 6 days. But it’s fantastic to watch! My kids aren’t bored here whatsoever, we stay at the ocean or the slides. They can do a pool anywhere. But to get the salt water and beach we can’t. So we do most our time…it’s small enough we don’t have to follow them everywhere which is so nice! There is a kids club and a game room. Which we also don’t utilize. But it’s there. The beach isnt lush deep sand, they enclosed the area so there is no seaweed! But it makes for a harder compacted beach- not an issue. They rake it and I think rototill it to try to help out. There is a salt water lagoon, cut out in the rocks that has some neat fish and is fun to chill in as well. Next to the baracuda bar…. Every other day they have vendors come in and sell their stuff—-saves you a trip to town. But we love the easy walk and bartering in town- do not ever pay full price for anything!!!! It’s fun to barter! Be brave! For every 10 BAD reviews there are 20 good ones. The bad reviews are just louder The naysayers drive me crazy- do your research. Form your own opinion. We have stayed at Dreams Riviera Cancun- fantastic resort as well as Dreams Tulum-Tulum is a huge resort and just not our style. We have also done in the past- xel-ha, Xcaret, cenote jungle tour, Tulum Mayan ruins, and swim with dolphins- all are fantastic. There is something to do for everyone here in Mexico! But now, we just stick to the resort. However. Kids and 2 in our party went fishing this morning, booked through a guy in town. Hope they have a great time today! 🎣 🛥️ AAA. adventures-Antonio. We stick to this one. Due to size and proximity to a gated. SAFE town…. We were not greeted with champagne, but we did have a ice cold eucalyptus wash cloth and if you’re thirsty for your alcoholic beverage it’s but a mere steps/ seconds away…. The “adult only” pool is now a preferred club pool, so if you used to come for that….it’s not adults only. As well as Oceana is now preferred club at breakfast and lunch. think they lacked on preferred amenities so they upgraded the pool and restaurant during the day. Otherwise Oceana at dinner is to all. Which is understandable and it’s not an issue. Some kids hang out there. But still notice they’re on the other side as well as the slide they have. And it’s not loud. Advice. Get on TikTok or Google or YouTube and check all your resorts your thinking about it. Download the Hyatt app and check menus….trip advisor, etc….don’t let someones bad opinion hinder you. This isn’t a huge party resort. (Which we like, that it’s not) They have their family show and the desires bar with Karaoke some nights. We have never utilized any as we are in bed after the show 9:30 😅 Drinks are strong and you can get your drunk on easily. But if you want a huge nightlife. Not sure this is for you. TIP. TIP. TIP. TIP, housekeepers, Waiters, fridge restocker, bar tender, anyone you come in contact with. they very much deserve it! 🫶🏽🎉 Items to bring- Your own stainless steel tumbler and straw. Floaty Sunscreen- it’s expensive here. Diaper rash ointment (yes even if you’re old, easy to chaff here and the salt water burns when you chaff) Room spray- smells musty at times(duh, humidity) Anything else you can easily find in pharmacy on property or go to town, 10 minute walk. Wrinkle release spray Just have a great time 10/10 for us!

Excellent entertainment team!
Entertainment team is excellent!! However, food and drinks are totally below par for Hyatt standard. Buffet is like a 3 star resort. Dinner is ok. If you want to enjoy the beach, this is not the resort to stay.

Fantastic stay at this small resort
My husband and I traveled without our children (17 and 23) first time in 25 years of marriage. This resort did not disappoint. We liked that it is a small resort. The staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had no issues with the room. We had plenty of towels (this can sometimes be an issue for me). The room was thoroughly cleaned every day. Everything in the room worked properly. Our view of the marina was absolutely beautiful. The resort grounds were clean and tidy. We had no issues getting pool chairs. The food was OK. We never went to bed hungry, but can't really rave about the quality of food. We have stayed in Puerto Aventuras before at a different resort. We love this area! We rented a golf cart for three full days to be able to explore the area. We would definitely return to this resort.
