Booked for Next Years trip while on vacation this trip.
We had the pleasure of working with Charis, our Guest Services concierge, and she was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond by sharing some amazing upcoming Hilton Honors deals that we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Her professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge truly enhanced our stay. Thanks again, Charis—you made a great experience even better!

Read the reviews and then decide if you have the option.
I stayed there for a conference, so I had no other option. I read the reviews before and I was not looking forward to it. Yes, the water tastes like sulfur, even in the tower where my room was; but this is central FL and all water is funny tasting. Yes, to a lot of the issues with the rooms like needing updating, etc. Yes, to the crowded pools, with no chance to catching a nap by it. And yes to a lot of things that some people have complained about it. Yes, to paper wall thin walls. But the reality is that the place is what it is, either for people like me attending a conference or for families going to Orlando for the parks. I take one star off, because for a hotel that has over 1000 rooms there should be more that 1 restaurant option; and because the food at the restaurant was just simply not good. I take another star off, because of the parking situation; very hard to do unless you are doing it at 11AM and there are not a lot a trolleys to help you haul luggage to your room or villa. I give the hotel one star because I think overall the grounds are very well kept for such high volume hotel and the type of guest (lots of kids), which makes it harder to keep up. Another star, for the conference center space; just well set up and that is the one in the main building near the reception and the big one on the other side of the property. And finally one star, for the microwave in the room; not sure that is a DoubleTree standard, but considering the food at the restaurant was so not good having a microwave to reheat my dinner left overs from the outside restaurants was very nice to have. Hope this helps.

A great central location in Orlando
We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and we think it’s great in terms of location - pretty central for Orlando attractions. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. If you have any issues at all, they will help you. Our towels were changed daily, which I wasn’t expecting and the room was serviced each day to a good standard although we noticed that the floors didn’t seem particularly clean as our feet were dirty after getting out of the shower. We stayed in block 9 which is the side nearest to SeaWorld. We were able to park our rental car right outside the door which was helpful. The grounds around the hotel are kept to a high standard and it has a tropical feel as you walk around. A few things to note, just to be picky….the hotel is in need of a bit of renovation e.g. the hot tub / spa pool didn’t work properly all week. It was hot but there were no bubbles. The grate that goes over the filter in the kids pool was detached and was floating around the bottom of the pool. The main bar pool was a lot colder than it seemed in previous years. There is a store room by block 9 that looks as though it’s crumbling and looks somewhat ‘ramshackle.’ Despite the few negatives, we do like the hotel and we would stay again.

Miserable
Where to begin. I just checked into this hotel (4/17/25). It was a mistake - one that neither I nor anyone in my locally headquartered company will ever do again. You do not want to be in town for either a business meeting (I have a brief one tomorrow morning) or as an adult couple looking to relax at this hotel. To start, I asked for an upgrade and did not get one - no big deal. That does not bother me. What I despised is that the miserably angry front desk clerk (Andreine?) put my wife and I by the kids pool (bldg 6). I knew I would despise the proximity to all the noise and running families. I was right. I have kids, I just dont want to be at a hotel and hear other people's children. I don't even like to hear my own kids screaming. When I asked if there were any rooms away from the family pool, she continued to tell me that there were no upgrades in the tower. I did not need an upgrade to a tower room. I wanted a different building (same type of room is fine - just away from the kids pool). No help. The other issue was that I was placed on the first floor. I work in government security - I despise the first floor of any building, but especially one near a wild kids pool. I asked for a higher room (they are two story building. I was told - again - no tower upgrades available. I did not ask for a tower upgrade. I just wanted a second floor room vs a first floor. No help. Then comes the room. I can tell it was not fully prepared. No coffee cups or coffee packs (despite a coffee maker), a table fixed with duct tape, and a tiny bathroom. Anyway, I get it is Orlando - families on vacation near Sea World are the norm. I get that it is a busy place. I do not need an upgrade and although disappointed that it was not available, it is what it is. I do, however, find it extremely disappointing that a loyal, diehard Hilton Diamond member could not get a second floor room away from the screaming kids pool. We won't be staying again, and although I am walking distance from my assignment, I am going to ensure no one in my company makes this mistake again, either.

Great experience
LOVED THIS RESORT! 100/10! My kids enjoyed it. We stayed for 5 nights, house keeping came daily which was great being that the kids always made some what of a mess. Pools were clean and warm. Breakfast buffet was very good! Omelettes were a hit! Laundry came in handy the day before heading home, washed and dryers worked great! It’s a beautiful resort which was a plus!!!
