Disappointing.
I usually never write reviews, but this hotel has been super disappointing. Firstly, their service is hit-or-miss. The restaurant either serves cold food, the wrong order, or takes forever. Sometimes housecleaning won’t change sheets despite me being absent from the room (i dont know if theres a schedule which affects that). This might be nit-picky, but their fountain wasn’t turned on. Lastly, theres a lot of bugs even when im on the 5th floor. i’ve seen beetles, centipedes, flies, and more.

The biggest bathtub I’ve ever seen
Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn in Colorado Springs for 3 nights in July. Room: king size suite (5th floor) Check-in: 5/5 Our check in was done using the Hilton app and the digital key delivered to my phone. We asked for additional physical keys and the front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. Parking: 5/5 The hotel had ample parking with no issues arising from not having a space available for our vehicle at any time of day Room: 5/5 This suite was hands down one of the fancier rooms I’ve stayed in. We had a living room with attached kitchen, bedroom, massive bathroom with the biggest tub I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. Room was clean, modern, and extremely comfortable. It might be due to being on the fifth floor but we never heard any traffic outside. The bed: 5/5 The bed was comfortable with some very nice linens. Pillows offered a variety of firmness and likely would suit any type of sleeper. Had zero issues with the bed over the 3 nights. The pool/hot tub: N/A We didn’t have a chance to check this out due to our schedule. Room service: 5/5 We ordered room service late one night. We ordered the duck quesadilla, beef short ribs and the duck. All of the food was very delicious and warm as it arrived at our door. Thank you to Natalie for her very friendly and courteous demeanour as she delivered it. Overall: 5/5 Overall our stay was quite enjoyable. This hotel offers some really stellar rooms and great service. Additionally they are pet friendly !

Avoid booking a ground floor room
This hotel has a nice lobby and the full service food/Starbucks was a bonus. Staff was helpful and friendly, especially housekeeping. Other than that, it was very old and dingy inside the room. Carpets were stained with a crusty beige stain between the beds. Bathroom was really dingy and stained and worn out. Drains were slow. But the worst thing was that someone attempted to enter our ground floor room (despite it being called 216) from the exterior patio door during the middle of the night. It was closed and locked, but someone banged loudly on the glass for awhile and tried to enter. I reported it to management but did not receive a follow up, just a request to let them know if it happened again. (The "house phone" in the room was so old and dusty that I could barely hear on it.) The ground floor rooms on the parking lot/street side should be avoided, especially to those traveling alone or with children as I was. There is a busy street and a bus stop just across from that side of the hotel. We also ran out of Kleenex and toilet paper at night and there wasn't any replacement roll in the room. Not a huge deal, but an inconvenience late at night.

We keep coming back
We have a conference every year around this time. We’ve really enjoyed the facilities at this Doubletree the past four years. The sleeping rooms are well tended by housekeeping. We love the bar and the flexibility of the conference spaces. A shout out to our hardworking banquet service staffers—seven meals in three days. We hope we got these names right. We wouldn’t want to leave anyone out. Thanks and we’ll see you next year! Customer service zero & ADA compliant not so much
I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. We booked an ADA-accessible room, yet when we arrived, we discovered there was no grab bar next to the toilet—a basic and legally required ADA feature. From the start, the customer service was lacking. When we checked in, the front desk associate was short and dismissive when we double-checked that our room was ADA-compliant. She also gave us poor directions, instructing us to walk past multiple elevators to reach our room. The next morning, we learned that we could have simply driven around the building to get much closer—information she could have easily provided. When I called the front desk to inform them about the missing grab bar, the response was shocking. The staff member questioned why a missing bar was a problem in an ADA room when it only needed to have a grab bar in the shower and then put me on hold for seven minutes. When she returned, instead of offering a solution, she told me to talk to the maintenance team next door and then hung up on me. Completely unprofessional. When I spoke with maintenance, I was again dismissed and told, “All ADA rooms have a bar by the toilet”. Only after I asked gem to come and check did they finally acknowledge the issue and move us to a proper ADA room. This experience was frustrating, unacceptable, and in violation of ADA requirements. Accessible rooms should meet basic legal standards, and staff should be trained in both compliance and customer service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone needing reliable accessibility accommodations.
