    Best holiday ever

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort for the first time in May/June for 2 weeks and it was amazing. I specifically chose this hotel as it was my husband’s first time in Disney and I didn’t want him to have an overly crazy loud hotel. I was right, it was really chilled and the pools were fantastic for our days that we had a break from the parks. The towel facilities are also brilliant. We had a 5 sleeper room and there were 3 of us (my son is 11). We had plenty of space and the storage was great for us. The beds were huge and really comfy. The hotel location is brilliant with fantastic access to the skyliner. The buses are also great and around 10 mins to all parks and Disney Springs. There is great laundry facilities by each pool which is super cheap and easy to use. The food is also great at the hotel. Loads of choice and not overly priced. The portions are huge so we would generally get 2 meals and share them between the 3 of us. The staff are all brilliant too. Nothing is too much trouble and they will all do anything to make your stay amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

Great resort but could be better

This is our second visit to caribbean beach. We stayed her for 12 nights whilst doing the Disney parks. We were in Jamaica block 41. We enjoyed the proximity to the skylines. The bus stops weren't too far away, but we hired a car so didn't use the buses too often. We did however, find it hard to find a parking space as there were huge trucks taking up half the car park due to the last of this areas refurb. It was a short walk to old port royal and the main amenities. The pool at Old Port Royal was very busy and we did sometimes struggle to find beds, but the smaller pools were never overly busy so we switched it up some days. The food court was great. Food was really nice and we mobile ordered most of the time so we didn't have too much of a wait. The rooms, although have just been given a refresh, we still think are dated and could be doing with a complete overall like coronado springs, pop, etc. The air con units are old and very noisy and most of them were leaking outside of the rooms. We love the feel of the Caribbean at this resort and the skyliner is a huge plus, but can't see us coming back to this resort anytime soon. Lots more disney resorts that have new modern amenities are more appealing to our family.

Too hot. Over priced and definitley not the most magical place on earth.

I have to start by saying that Disneyworld would not have been my first choice for a holiday destination but due to family pressures i was commited to going. I was willing to try and embrace the experience but unfortunately i came away feeling that i needed another holiday to recover from my holiday. First of all it was too hot 35°C every day. That cannot be blamed on Disney but the real issues were simply the cost of everything in the resorts. A captive audience springs to mind but when you are fleeced to the tune of 6 dollars for 2 bananas and over 6 dollars for a Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream you begin to loose the will to live. Never mind we had an air conditioned hotel room that was comfortable but certainly not luxurious. The room service attended every two days to change the bedding, no issues with that but it was only on closer examination when my 4 year old threw my sun hat under the bed and i went to retrieve it that i then discovered the accumulated dust, yes by accident i cleaned beneath my bed myself. Maybe i should have invoiced them for my services. This incident then resulted in a much closer examination of the room only to find dust everywhere. In summary would i go back eh that would be a big NO.

Don't bother. Looks good from afar but stay far away.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a larger Disney trip that involved staying at 3 different hotels. This was by far the worst experience. We came from Pop Century where we had a great time. At 10:45am we left our bags with Bell Services at Pop Century and hopped on the skyliner to Caribbean Beach. At 11am we checked in but the room wasn't ready which is fine and was expected. Unfortunately the "feel like" temp was 124 degrees that day so we were more or less stuck inside. I kept looking at my phone but the hours ticked away. 3pm rolled around and I again went to the desk to check on the room. 3pm is the listed check in time at Disney. The person at the front desk said there still wasn't a room ready for us and they didn't know when one would be ready. I tried using the chat feature in the Disney App but they were not helpful there and pawned me off to a phone number. I called them and they said they also could not help and that they would have to call another number and put me on hold. I never heard from them again nor was there any follow up from Disney. I am a single father traveling with 2 teenagers and two 3 year old twins. It made for a very long day with them not having a room for us. Plus these are not cheap rooms yet Disney seems okay with just checking you in whenever they please. At almost 4 o'clock I got a text saying out room was ready. Naturally our room was about a 10 minute walk from the main lobby. When we got there it was evident that the room wasn't cleaned. There were pine needles on the floor and in the shower. Clothes hangers were still hanging from the front curtain rods and an empty/open box of soap was on the bathroom counter. Unlike the other hotel rooms the ones here have their ACs locked to 68 degrees being the lowest you can go. We were exhausted so we just made the best of it. Later that night our luggage still had not made the mile long journey from the next hotel over. 8pm rolled around and I set off for Bell Services. My luggage was there. They just hadn't felt like delivering it yet. Around 8:45pm our luggage finally made it to our room. The next morning we set out to explore the resort a bit more. Unfortunately, the beach nearest our room seems to have been abandoned by Disney. It wasn't groomed and towels and trash were all over the place as you can see in the pictures. Some of the towels had started to turned brown as Disney left them to rot outside. Fortunately there was a remote quick serve place near our room. The people working there were very nice especially in the hot weather they work in. The soda filling station there was covered in Honey Bees. Someone will get stung sooner or later. It also seemed strange that about half the people staying there only buy one refill cup and then use it to fill up other cups so they can save money. And those same people seem oblivious to anyone behind them. I did share all this with Disney. They don't seem to care anymore however.

    Caribbean Beach Resort is Great

We had a two week stay at Disney Worlds Caribbean Beach Resort and have zero complaints to make. It was the perfect base for what we needed from this trip - we didn't spend a lot of time at the resort itself and I really wish we'd have found the time to make more of it's activities - the marshmallow toasting, outdoor cinema. I hope that if we get to return then we will make more time for these things. Our room was a good size, there are 4 of us, and very clean when we arrived, housekeeping was every two days and I loved coming back from a long park day to a perfectly made bed - just a dream!! I We loved the pools in the hotel both the main one and the one closest to our hotel room. We used the mobile app for ordering food which was of a good standard and nice range with a good vegetarian option. The main thing we loved about staying here was the Skyliner and the ease of access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The bus was also easy to use and ran regularly to the other two parks. We only had one bad ride when it was torrential rain and the rain was coming into the bus!! However it did also add some fun to the journey - for the kids anyway!! I can't fault our stay here and would love to be able to return one day.
