Stayed in early June 2021. We got the Nemo family suite rooms and they were nice for our multi generational family. Two restrooms in each room was very nice. The couch bed and table bed are not really meant for adults. The restaurant was just okay, not great, although our grandmother enjoyed the turkey dinners. Water and drinks are $4+ each so arrange a grocery delivery if you can. Be aware they don’t clean your room like pre-COVID, but they do trade you for clean towels and take your trash out, The best part of staying at this resort is being on the skyliner, worth it for this alone!
Low rent, dismal, dingy rooms and rude staff.
Welcome to the motel dive of Disney. Caveat emptor. Sure the price is lower comparatively for Disney however you pay for it in petty stingy ways one cannot imagine. The front desk staff in particular was rude and condescending. There are no amenities to speak of other than a few overcrowded pools. No hot tubs, saunas or gym. Avoid like the plague unless you want a miserable experience.
Nemo Suites stay
We stayed 4 nights in the Nemo Suites at Art of Animation resort May 28 thru June 1, 2021. We brought our two teenage grandchildren and had plenty of room. Having 2 bathrooms was great. The TV in our room was ‘scrambled ‘ when we checked in but a repairman came soon after we called the desk. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay but we did call to ask that our trash be emptied and they were prompt about it. The location was a plus as the food court, shopping area and bus loading were an easy walk. The Skyliner was even closer than the bus area. We walked around the entire resort and took advantage of photos ops of the Cars, Lion King and Little Mermaid areas. It was a great stay, clean room, right beside the big blue pool.
My family and I decided to go to Disney for the first time this year to celebrate our daughter’s kindergarten graduation. We wanted a full Disney experience so we ended up at AoA (May 26-30 2021). Overall the stay was ok, but I’m sure we could have found better. Solid 6.25 out of 10. - Room: Pro: decorated nicely, good water pressure, suites have enough space. Cons: dated “hotel” feel, no room service but they come into your room each day for a “security check”, excessive walking to and from your room. - Food Pros: Spacious cafeteria area. Cons: over-priced high school lunchroom cafeteria food, going offsite to get basic need groceries is a must, snack are very expensive. - Amenities Pros: spacious pool, movies on the lawn each night Cons: Pool wasn’t very clean, walking is excessive to everything, most “fun/magical” things are suspended - Staff Pros: very nice and helpful Cons: None Overall, AOA is an ok place to stay, but I would not recommend it and won’t be staying again. There are way better options for the same money.
this was our first trip to Disney world, we rented a room in the little mermaid building we arrived at 1am and the front desk lady was not the nicest , told her this was our first time visiting and needed help with getting to the room and with our magic bands, she was very rude and stand off , but the lady who helped us the following morning was super nice and gave us buttons for our first trip, the pool was nice but nothing special and the room could have been planned out better, they do have room to add a bigger fridge and microwave , it had more space then expected , but the housekeeping service was not good at all , we had to call the front desk for towels and toilet paper, the walk to the front desk and to catch the bus was not that bad of a walk, the skyliner was the best ! would stay here again if they would do better with providing towels. the big blue pool was great but very crowded , also we bought my daughter a mermaid tail for the pool but was told she could not wear it , would been nice to know before she got in the pool with it on , also was a nice place to take pictures with all the characters , save your money and go out to eat , there is a McDonalds on property, there restaurant on site was not the best , just like any theme park food. But over all had a great 6 day stay!
