Great Stay
This was the first time we stayed at a Disney hotel. We knew it was the value range so didn't expect much. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had nice bathrooms with shampoo & body wash & towels provided. The rooms did exactly what we needed, somewhere to keep our things, sleep and wash as we were out and about each day. Found check in easy, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The food court was a bit limited but the pizza was great value when you got back after a long day and just wanted something quick to eat. We found the refillable cups really good - yes can only be used at the hotels but we got our moneys worth just morning and nights. The kids (and I) loved the theming of the hotel and the pool was great too. Can be a bit of walking so if you do have any walking difficulties you might want to request rooms near the pool/take a scooter. We really loved the free Disney transport - we didn't hire a car (yes there is a parking fee if you do park at the hotel) and found we didn't need it at all. Regular busses and ubers were cheap and easy as well. I would certainly stay here again.

No thanks ..go to coco key waterpark instead
Rooms were very up-to-date n clean BUT tissue paper walls. Could hear ppl cutting thru courtyard at night down 3 flights even. Pool chilly but huge n had many lifeguards but looong list rules for both pool and poolside. Check out 10am...key card for bathrooms stops working ...next check in anywhere was 3. Onsite meal prices were as much as uber to nice local restraints even inc fair for Real meals but bfast was OK....just packed. Smoking area limited ! Couldn't get transportation easily as claimed. Everything u needed I'd call desk n be on hold or dare go to lobby n hafta wait in line. Another of walking after day at parks.... checkin was Brudel... rms not ready .. I'd definitely pass this up if ur kids aren't very young n want the characters theme. Been there n done that..Def sticking to cocokey water park hotel muuuuch closer to Universal Anand walking distance to a lot unlike disney u must drive or uber outta there disney areas for anything

Is it truly worth it?
We stayed at All Star Movies for 2 nights simply as we had tickets to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. ASM was $500 for the 2 nights for the family of four but it was possibly the worst $500 we’ve ever spent. Despite being the cheapest hotel at Disney, we expected more for $500 especially after staying at Universal for $500 for 2 nights at a 4* hotel. Disney is meant to be magic but All Star Movies was nothing but out dated. The huge statues look tired, rooms were renovated but cheaply and the grounds weren’t kept to the standards of the typical disney gardens. On our last day (and last day in Orlando) we used the pool and ate lunch at All Stars. The pool was heaving and despite having life guards, felt dirty and dangerous… I don’t know there was just something about it. Lunch was okay but nothing special and overpriced… very overpriced. I hate to just moan so some positives about the resort are the service and the beds. Everyone is lovely and the customer service is the best i’ve seen in hotels so I’m glad Disney pick the best of the best. The rooms felt cheap but the beds were comfy and i’m glad the resort had a classic disney feel but, maybe too classic?? Overall, I’d say the resort is fine if your doing what we were doing and just using it to sleep in for a couple of nights but honestly, could I spent over 3/4 nights here- no. Buses are a hassle, it’s very busy, small rooms and just so much premium to stay on site, I don’t see it’s worth anymore.

Great All Star Property
We were deciding between this resort and two others: Coronado Springs and also Pop Century. I am glad we chose the All Star Movies. The property is compact so nothing is far. The pools are clean and the food and transportation area are adjacent to the main lobby. We never waited more than 10 minutes for any bus to/from any of the parks or even Disney Springs. Coronado Springs is huge so we wanted to be close to our vehicle and Pop Century has the sky lift transportation to Epcot which is good for some people, but I am afraid of heights. The main reason we would definitely stay here again is the location and not having to deal with parking in the park or Disney Springs. We even checked out some other resorts and the caught the monorail (via M.K.) without having to ever move our vehicle. The room has everything you need even though it seems smaller than the average. You have more than enough charging outlets, storage space and a pull down table. The sink is separate from the shower, tub and toilet so two people can be utilizing that area at the same time. The sliding door locks tightly and offers good privacy unlike other places we stayed with a gap under/above or on the side. The fridge does not have a freezing section so keep that in mind, but ice machines are located on the floor and we always had towels available. Chess, ping pong and movie night are offered and the pools have life jackets and lifeguards with an ample supply of pool towels. Get a magic band so you can automatically open your door and don’t have to worry about a key. The resort offers so many scenic and character backgrounds to take good family pics without a crowd of people hovering in the background. Some of the bus drivers seemed like they had a major attitude but the resort staff was very nice and we would stay here again. Tip: The Disney refillable cups can only be used at the resorts not the parks, so keep this in mind before buying but most quick service dining spots offer a free cup of ice water in the mobile pickup area.

Great price point but not as clean with reduced housekeeping
I definitely like the price point of this hotel. Property was very clean. The pool is nice and never had trouble finding chairs. Plenty of towels available. The reduced housekeeping was disappointing although I understand the staffing issue. But no garbage bags in the cans seemed to cause them to never really be clean. There is no carpet in the room and our socks got dirty. There is a beverage cooler which was great for keeping leftovers and water chilled. Most recommend not putting milk on there. I doubt they mopped between guests. The food in the food court was hit or miss. Pizza was terrible and burgers very greasy but the salads and chicken strips were fine.
