Management and staff, Superb!!
The hotel was pretty on entry. The room we had was alright except the bathroom was a hazard! Being disabled and a wheelchair user the floors in the bathroom were a danger getting in and out as they were slippery. I have noticed that most rooms they claim are ADA are not truly!!!

Amazing kind and helpful staff
I was here for work and personal - the entire staff was so helpful but Sandra from the Lobby was sooo helpful and kind! There was a large conference at the same time so getting turned around on my way to find their restaurant and she walked me to where I needed to be! Recommend the Diplomat for any future stay!

Beware of the scam!
I had made reservation for this November stay backe in April for one night. My plans changed and i wished to arrive a day early. When I called the hotel they said I would have to change rooms from one day to the next due to availability. But if I upgraded to Oceanfront they could keep me in the same room for the two nights. I took the same room for two nights. They said they could not cancel my original reservation because it was made by American Express. They advised me to have A/E call the manager and she would issue a cade to waive the cancellation fee. The cancelation fee was one nights stay. When A/E reached her after many attempts, she refused to waive the origial cancellation fee. I was told when I made the reservation, when I checked in and when I checked out the same story of refunding my original reservation. I was lied to by every person I spoke to at the Hotel In addition the Hotel is under construction which is very loud. The old Lobby is gone and only 1/3 of the pools are open to guests. Beware of the scam they pulled on me, No refund for the original reservation even thou I stayed there for that night and an additional night. And the construction is ongoing but you are not made aware of it until you get there. This is certainly not what I expected from a 5 star Hotel. .

Local Recommends
We live in Miami, and this is our favorite hotel in Miami/FLL area. The staff definitely upgrade the experience by providing attentive and polite service at all times. Ashley at front desk arranged for a beautiful room and got us checked in quickly. The beach bartenders and servers were all personable and kept the drinks flowing. While the hotel is undergoing renovations, there was no construction noise evident in our room or in the pool area. We will be sure to return to this great property.

Beautiful hotel wish had better service
The views are amazing. We had a suite with a balcony, it was nice but not a blow me away kind of suite. The hotel was beautiful and had a lot of restaurants, the food was good but the service was a bit left to be desired. We sat on the patio and had to go inside to be served for food and drinks. Getting our drinks was disappointing as the bartender Lauren had an attitude and was very rude but the other bartender Kat was amazing and very helpful to us.
