My friend and I took our two little girls to Williamsburg for a quick girls weekend. We had the best experience at this hotel. The front desk staff (Ulises and Selena) were super pleasant and accommodating. The kids loved the indoor pool and they even offered to extend the hours the first night if we wanted them to! The hotel was very clean, great location, and we loved the Starbucks in the mornings. I can’t say enough good things about our experience!
Great nights sleep at this Marriott
Stayed one night at this hotel while visiting family. Reception was very welcoming and my Marriott loyalty status was recognized. Assigned a corner room, upper floor in a quiet portion of the hotel. Received a welcome package which was a nice touch. We had a light meal at the Bistro — service was prompt and food was of good quality. I was most impressed with the king bed mattress which did not sag in the middle. As a result I had one the the better nights of sleep at a hotel in recent memory. HVAC worked well as did the water pressure in the shower. Not much room for improvement here. Regularly available coffee would be nice and better than the room coffee service...but I recognize that this is not a Courtyard thing. That said, I will happily book here again when in the area.
We were there for the Christmas Town festival at Busch Gardens. This is the perfect location and very close to the attractions, very clean rooms and superb staff. The check in staff was very nice and courteous. Several restaurants are withing walking distance.
Christmas 🎄 Stay 👍
In past years we always stay here at Christmas and this year was no exception. Good front office staff and clean and comfortable rooms. The property is not too crowded this time of year and the rates are generally lower. It’s showing some wear and will need some updating soon. Although Courtyards are designed for business travelers due to its close proximity to Busch Gardens and Water Country there are more tourists during the times when these attractions are operating.
I've stayed at this property quite a few times when visiting Busch Gardens and it's usually an awesome experience. This last time however, I was a little disappointed in the service I received from the representative at the front desk when checking in. I had a reservation for a room with a King bed. I asked if it was possible to switch to a room with 2 beds at which time she informed me that the hotel was completely booked. The parking lot was practically empty (I've stayed there in the middle of summer where there was barely anywhere to park) but ok. I then asked for a room facing Busch Gardens. The rep had already given me keys to one room, she angrily took them back and gave me keys to another room, I said, thank you and proceeded to my room. As I was carrying my heavy bags to the room, I realized she had given me a room opposite of where I requested...exactly the same place where she had initially told me I would be...in the back, on the other side of the property. Did she do that to be funny? I had just driven from New York, it was late and I was too tired to debate the issue so I just again left it alone. I was miserable the entire time. Not only did I hate the location of the room but I froze the entire time I was in that room. There was no way to control the temperature and even when I just turned off the air completely, it was still blowing. This doesn't normally happen when I stay here. I usually experience excellent hospitality and service from this property which is why this is the only property I stay at in this area but this last time, not so great.
