    Has gone downhill

Well, this was always our “go to” when visiting Busch Gardens. After our stay this past weekend, that is no longer the case. The room was is poor shape. There was a sticky black stain on the carpet near the AC unit. The ceiling in the shower was cracking and moldy. The room has bugs- beetles and ants (big black ants, not the small sugar ants). The doors to get inside were not working so you had to walk all the way around the hotel to the main entrance to get in depending on available parking. The hot tub was not functional. The staff were rude and immature. Basically all the reasons we’ve stayed in the past were not happening and this will be our last visit to this location. They should be ashamed to call themselves a Marriott. When the manager was notified of the issues, the response was “I apologize” and that was it. This will be the last time we will stay here. The Hilton right around the corner is the same price and much nicer after that terrible experience.

Not the best experience this time.

I went to the Marriott in June 2023 with my family consisting of 5. We got one room, with two queen beds. It was definitely a tough squeeze, but we still made it work. I have been going to this hotel since 2019, and I must say they have all been enjoyable times. Unfortunately, this time we went, it was more disgusting than usual. First off, the hot tub smelt like urine, and the water was yellow. It ended up closing I’m pretty sure. The pool was very murky, and definitely unsanitary comparing to all of the previous years. I’m not expecting a lot for the “low cost price”however, it’s gross looking, and totally outdated. Also, the breakfast is very expensive. Usually all Marriott’s have all-inclusive breakfasts, so it's definitely a downside when booking this hotel, considering there are other hotels in the area for a similar price which INCLUDES BREAKFAST. Some positives I would like to point out are the staff. They are very nice, and truly helpful for a family like mine. The lobby was also pretty clean too, including our room- the AC worked great. am coming back in two weeks, and I hope my stay is better this time. I can’t say I don’t like this hotel, because it feels like a second home to me when I come visit Williamsburg, so hopefully everything goes well next time around!

Probably best location in the Tri Colonial area.

Excellent service, a tab bit outdated. My shower had a huge crack in the time and was covered over with caulking. Yet some were missing, so take care not to cut yourself. The parking lot is a bit weird; all parking is in the rear, and you must walk a little distance to get to the front desk. Service and clean OUTSTANDING. Its sits in a great location Busch Gardens is right around the corner, Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown in close by (around 10 - 20 miles depending on where you are going

    No Towels!

They didn’t have any towels! We asked for towels in the morning - they said they didn’t have any but they would bring some by later. 9 pm still no towels. Back to front desk and they say they still have no towels. I have never stayed at a hotel that didn’t have towels for their guests.

It was okay, not the best

My stay was okay, it wasn't the best but nothing worth speaking with management over. Only things were that when me and my boyfriend were walking past the managers office to go to our rooms, it smelled like they were smoking weed in there. Not that it bothered us, kind of made us laugh but crazy how they couldn't just go outside! Also the rooms were very outdated. Walls were kinda tore up and it just smelled old. Didn't really have any connection with the staff.
