Great Customer Service
I did not stay at this hotel as I had to cancel because of Covid 19. It was extremely easy to cancel. I appreciate the flexibility. I know hotels will be losing money and I'm happy they did the right thing. We will be staying there when our trip is back on.
The PERFECT hotel for families near Disneyland, AWESOME Waterslides
In my opinion this is the absolute BEST hotel near Disneyland Anaheim. My family of four absolutely LOVED our 11 night stay in August 2019. The reasons I highly recommend staying here; the rooms are spacious and CLEAN, the water playground is awesome fun, The Bistro Restaurant in the lobby was delicious and it’s a short walk to Disneyland. We stayed in a Two Queen Room with Bunk Bed and Balcony/View of Disneyland Fireworks from 15th – 26th August 2019. And what a spectacular view of the fireworks it was! Nightly fireworks displays, that could be viewed from the comfort of our own balcony if we didn’t feel like being amongst the crowds. There’s also a beautiful daytime view of Matterhorn mountain and even the monorail. The room was very modern, spacious and extremely clean with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are perfect for families eager to get ready for a day at the parks, with two showers, a bath tub and large double vanity sink. There was a comfy little corner dining booth that fit our whole family so no one had to eat meals while sitting on the beds. The cleanliness of this hotel is outstanding! Housekeeping tended to our room on a daily basis and they were very friendly, professional, efficient and fast. It made this mum right here very happy not to have to clean or make beds during our entire holiday! Honestly, it’s one of the main reasons I so highly recommend staying here and I really hope the housekeeping staff are being paid a bonus for the exceptional job they do. The kids really enjoyed sleeping on the bunk beds and there was ample storage space for clothes/suitcases in the wardrobe, as well as a bar fridge and microwave. We were on the 5th floor and down the hallway there was a coin laundry room with four washing machines and dryers which was also very clean and extremely handy during our extended stay. There were lots of family groups staying, but we didn’t notice any excessive noise through the walls nor traffic/street noise. We didn’t have a car with us, but if it’s a Disneyland focused holiday you’re after, everything you need is within walking distance. There are grocery stores within 10-15 mins walk. The Bistro Restaurant in the lobby serves delicious menu items to suit any age or taste, my kids loved the cheese pizza. Mimi’s Café is across the hotel carpark and it was quite nice when we dined there. Panera Bread and McDonald are next door and Denny’s is about 10 mins walk away. Anaheim Garden Walk is about 20 mins away. It might be notable to say that there were always people begging for money on the streets on our daily walks to and from Disneyland on South Harbor Blvd. Or people performing for money (man with a parrot who’d try to place the parrot onto the kid’s shoulder, or unsuspecting passers by) or people selling bottled water etc. underneath the Disneyland sign. Every day that we returned from our day out at Disneyland we were greeted by very friendly and courteous hotel staff making us feel right at home. Tip for Aussies: We were able to visit Disneyland parks every day of our 10 day stay, because travel agents sell 10 day Park Hopper tickets to Australian and New Zealand residents at a price that’s not too much more than a 5 day pass. Let’s face it, we live very far away so we might as well make the most of such a long flight to USA and stay for longer than 3 or 4 days (3 days was just long enough for our jetlag to subside to be honest). We were so lucky to have 10 days of sunny warm weather and the kids absolutely LOVED the waterslides and water playground with giant tipping bucket and mini slides. There’s also a swimming pool and life guard on duty. It’s quite expensive to stay here, but actually worth it when compared to staying on Disney properties and the size of the room plus balcony. Also you won’t need to pay for admission to a waterslide park or worry about taking towels etc and travelling there. I absolutely LOVED everything about staying at Courtyard by Marriot Theme Park Entrance and so did my whole family. I said to them on the first night that I wanted to move in and live there permanently! Thank you so much for making our trip to California so comfortable, special and stress free.
Excellent hotel for families!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Perfect location to Disneyland and Downtown Disney- a short 10 minute walk. The water park was a blast for our grandkids ages 2,4, and 6. The bistro was open late and early with healthy options. Lots of beds for a family with a tub shower combo plus an additional shower and double vanity. If you are lucky enough to get Christine (kris, Chris??) in the Bistro- she is awesome! Everyone was helpful and friendly! We will be back!
Great for Kids!
We got two rooms. There were three adults and four kids and we had more than enough beds and showers. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The kids loved the water park on the days we weren't at Disneyland. It's a fairly short walk to the park entrance. I was able to buy discounted tickets at the counter and that was great.
Fantastic for families!
This Courtyard is located perfectly to take advantage of all Disneyland has to offer. If you book the right room, you can even have a park and fireworks view! The rooms are laid out perfectly for families. Each room has two queen beds (or one king) plus a set of bunk beds that can sleep two children. There is also a small breakfast nook that is quite handy for additional seating while in the room. The walk to the parks is roughly the same distance as walking from the Grand Californian to Disneyland. This hotel also has an excellent heated water park with plenty of shaded seating. My kids spent two days at the water park and loved it! On this vacation, we stayed at the Grand Californian for three nights and this hotel for three nights. We all agreed that when we return we will stay at the Courtyard for the entire stay. It is an excellent value.
