Currently here now... What can we tell you about our stay so far? Well, we are repeat customers, & we previously stayed at Couples Negril. We expected things to be a lot different because of Covid. We had an open mind coming into this trip, & we were prepared for things to be not “entirely” the same. We love Negril, & it’s absolutely gorgeous! However, the bar of expectation was set really high for us since we had a phenomenal time last year. This year is just not the same at all, unfortunately! We’ve heard, “sorry, we’re out of that,” more times than I care to repeat. The food is good, & it’s ala carte Yet, it’s not what we want to experience every day. We were used to wonderful buffets For lunch & dinner from our previous trips. We love to try lots of different things each meal. Yet, you are only choosing from a list of ala carte items for lunch & dinner. A buffet is only offered for breakfast. We understand the strict timing for meals due to staff being under Covid restrictions to travel back home. However, it feels hurried. We did speak to a wonderful manager about our concerns, & she was most helpful. We are being hassled a lot more by vendors on the beach this year, so sometimes it hard to relax on the beach. Security did start patrolling more, & it’s a little better now. I think it’s just being told by the staff, “we’re out of that,” is so totally disappointing. Not to mention, just to get a drink at night, you have to walk across the property, and twice now we’ve been told by the bar they don’t have what we want, again... Another instance, towels on the beach, twice now they’ve been out of clean towels. Finally, someone got us towels, but excuses were made saying it’s not the staffs fault. We love the laid back, relaxed attitude here, but it feels like the staff is too, entirely laid back to really care if the guests are being properly cared for. This breaks my heart, but we may not return again for awhile. I’m hoping after Covid, the resort will back to phenomenal status. But, you see, we paid “full price” for above average expectations, not just mediocre. One thing for sure, the water is beautiful! We do enjoy Negril, & we were spoiled & pampered during our last visit. It was so wonderful. This time is not the same. We have a few days left, so we’re going to keep a positive attitude & open mind so we can enjoy the remainder of our time. Maybe try again in a few years...

    Best Vacation Ever

I can’t say enough great things about CSA! From the transfer transportation, the front desk staff, the water sports staff, the restaurant staff, every single person we came into contact with was incredible! We were worried to go during a global pandemic but that quickly changed the moment we landed. There were so many Covid precautions in place that I’ve never felt more safe. Please don’t be worried about going during a pandemic because I felt safer in Jamaica than going to my local grocery store. The water sports are incredible, the food was amazing and the people made us feel at home. I usually don’t go to the same place twice and I’m already planning my trip to return to CSA next year. I had the absolute best vacation and fell in love with Jamaica!!!

FIRST VISIT TO COUPLES SWEPT AWAY!

Just returned from our first visit to Couples Swept Away. We have been to Couples Negril twice before, but due to the Covid-19 virus, it was closed so we instead went to Swept Away. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there. The room (garden view #3101) was great with a wonderful deck on the back of the room. The food was FANTASTIC, but we have come to expect that at Couples Resorts, although the Filet at the Repeaters Dinner was as tough as shoe leather! Staff was friendly and amazing as always, and sanitizing routines and precautions were strictly enforced. Our only real complaint that as older guests we had difficulty walking the entire property as it is not as compact as Couples Negril, and the steps to get out of the pools and whirlpools are very steep for folks with mobility issues. That being said, we did enjoy our stay, but would rather have been at Couples Negril! One love!!

3rd time at a Couples Resort, 1st time at Swept Away... fantastic time!

Couldn't be happier with the decision to go through on this trip, despite all the COVID craziness. We originally booked for Couples Negril in April, and later rebooked to September, but then they closed Couples Negril due to low occupancy. This would've been our third time to Negril, but we were OK with trying out Couples Swept Away; and they made it worth our while with extra credits and bonus. We really appreciated that! COVID really didn't interfere at all, or change anything other than the basic higher calls for sanitation and masks. We didn't feel like we lost any value or had to make any sacrifices. If anything, it felt even better than usual to just get away from the craziness of being at home all the time, and the pandemic, and not being able to see or chat with people. You feel very safe on the resort; safer than I ever felt back in the states! And since most of the resort is outside, you can comfortably leave the mask in your room most days; which was a literal breath of fresh air! Swept Away was an incredibly beautiful resort, on an amazing beach. Much bigger than Couples Negril! We think we still prefer Negril in the end, but this was a close contender. The service, food, experience, and atmosphere are all still of the same high quality we were used to. As in our previous trips, the people really help make the biggest difference here. Seun at watersports was a great water ski instructor, and helped me and m'lady learn the ropes on our first time ever trying it. By the end of the vacation we were naturals! His patience and help was super appreciated. Densville of entertainment was always around and making sure we were happy, doing well, and getting us involved in many of the fun activities. He even went out of his way to make sure there were enough people to join in on my favorite activities on my last day! Super awesome of him. It was always a pleasure when he was involved with an activity or event, because he contributes a great persona and welcoming, friendly attitude that really shows. The staff that work the bars and restaurants are also always amazing. Natasha was super kind, friendly, and always made sure we had a cool drink on the beach (and there were some HOT days). She was constantly running back and forth to grab drinks for us and others on the beach, but still had time to smile and check on us, or have a quick friendly chat. Ms. Jennifer and Sharlene were our two favorite waitresses as well, they really went above and in beyond in making you feel welcome, attending to your every little request for food or menu modifications (my lady can be a handful as a picky eater), and just always being a friendly smiling face (even when we couldn't see it under the mask). Also, a very special thanks to the cleaning staff for the rooms! Like a bunch of ninjas. We wouldn't spend much time in the rooms of course, but we'd still drop in for odds & ends on occasion. Not once did we run into the cleaning staff in our room, but they always managed to sneak in at the perfect time and make the room SPOTLESS. We'd come back to our hotel room, and it'd look exactly like it did the first time we opened the doors; clean, organized, and beautiful. They did an incredible job! Thank you all for helping so much to make our trip special! We'll be back for 2021! :)

    Amazing!

We came here for our honeymoon this month and we LOVED our stay here and will definitely be back! The resort is clean and absolutely beautiful, the staff is so friendly and accommodating, and there are so many activities, you will never be bored! We did a few excursions as well as snorkeling, catamaran cruise, and got to try all of the restaurants. The food is also incredible, there’s always different options to try and to accommodate everyone. Highly, highly recommend couples!
