    An honest review from a first timer.

    This was our first time traveling to Jamaica. We were traveling with friends who had been to CSA twice previously, but not in ten years. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - The talent at the resort was excellent. The steel drum band, Phoenix Heritage was incredibly fun. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy them nearly as much as we did. The singer in the piano bar, Princess, was fabulous. She was as good if not better than anything you hear on a television talent show. - The beach and crystal clear water were the best I’ve experienced. Fabulous. - The glass bottom boat tour was lots of fun. king Julius was great. - The catamaran was lots of fun and the water sports being included was a big bonus. - Seagrapes was great for lunch. Loved the fish tacos. - Dinner at Feathers was good and the service there was solid. - Our beachfront room was as advertised. Steps from the beach. Cons: - Much of the staff was rude. They seemed out out that we were there. This was especially true of the towel hut workers. They were over the top lazy and rude. When you walk up, they asked, “What do you want?” Do you have anything other than towels to offer me? It was ridiculous. On top of the poor attitudes, they were commonly out of towels. - There was about $100 stolen from my wife’s purse in the room. They only took the tens and twenties in hopes it would go unnoticed. - The food wasn’t very good. The breakfast buffet was down right bad. Limited selection, cold food, and unhappy staff made breakfast a chore each day. - The restaurants being open air makes no sense to me. Who wants to eat in 90 degree heat with little to no breeze? - The main pool area was in pretty rough shape. There was algae and mold growing on parts of the pool. There was commonly plates and garbage left near the pool for days on end. - One of the hot tubs in the main pool area’s jets didn’t work at all and, in the other one, only one side worked. The temperature of the tubs were wildly inconsistent, as well. - The vendors on the beach were annoying and off putting. I’m no prude, but I didn’t expect to be offered mushrooms and cocaine as I walked from the beach to the water. - Private transfer with Ashton Pitt was not what I hoped for. The vehicle was uncomfortable and halfway through the ride, the driver pulled over and switched vehicles with another driver. When he got out, I saw the original driver grab an 18 inch machete from under the passenger seat. Not my idea of instilling confidence in our safety. - The rooms are old and outdated. - The resort was out of a lot of liquor and menu items. I assume this is a supply chain issue, but disappointing nonetheless. I only have Cancun all-inclusives to compare this trip to. We were wildly disappointed in the resort overall. Cancun offers a better stay for comparable prices and way cheaper flights. We will not be back and do not recommend.

    Keishane, Giovanni, Paula and Rashel

    The place is amazing, the food from all the restaurants blew our socks off. Look the rooms are a little hot but we made do. The people who work there though are what made it amazing. I probably spelled their names wrong but just want to make sure those 4 people know they are appreciated. Giovanni made our dinning experience on our first night there. Charismatic as can be, he left no stone unturned as far as the dining experience. Rashel (which I'm sure is not spelled right) she went above and beyond to make sure to get us in our room when we first got to the resort. We came from a cold area and had long sleeves and sweat pants on and she did everything in her power to get us in our room asap. Also she was just a welcoming face every morning at breakfast. Lastly Paula and Keishane sealed the deal behind the bar. Their personality is matched by non at any resort we have ever been to. Keishane and Paula pushed us out of our comfort zone of giving us new drinks to try, recommending what food to try and just every interaction with them made us laugh and enjoy ourselves. I just simply can't say enough about the entire staff that is employed there but those 4 stood out and I just want to thank them for making our first international trip amazing. Also if you see an orange cat, his name is Gizmo, leave some water outside your room. That was my vacation adopted cat. There are other orange cats but this kitten has his ears in tact which is how you can tell the difference. He was my buddy, typically a dog person but he was cool. Miss you Gizmo!

    Best Vacation Ever

    Couples Swept Away was the absolute best vacation we have ever taken. I have traveled to the Dominican Republic and Bahamas at all-inclusive resorts and Swept Away far exceeded any expectations we had. First and foremost, the food at this resort is AMAZING. Everything is so fresh and their are plenty of options that we never had the same thing twice. Our favorite was The Palms for dinner and the Cabana Grill for lunch. There is also a juice and veggie bar that serves amazingly fresh pressed juice and smoothies. I cannot say enough good things about the food at this resort. The beach itself is one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. You can see right through to the bottom and the colors are turquoise and blue. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend a sunset swim out in the ocean as well. It was our favorite night of the trip. The water is so calm and comfortably warm. There are also a ton of water sports you can do, which we took full advantage of. We went transparent kayaking, paddle boarding, and even water biking. You can also go on a complimentary sunset cruise, sail boat, snorkeling, and other water sports. Just simply go to the sports shack on the beach and they get you on your way. Last but certainly not least is the staff at Couples Swept Away. They are the reason we have decided to return next year for our one year anniversary, and every year after that. We always felt so well taken care of and the staff actually makes a point to learn your name and remember it throughout your trip. They are so nice and friendly, you feel like you have made new friends. We especially want to shout out to Damion and Kawayne for making us feel so welcome throughout our stay and always taken care of. They are truly one of a kind. Everyone we encountered was great, from the bellhop, to the masseuses, to the servers, to the lobby staff. They all deserve an award. There are endless things to do at this resort that we have decided to extend our stay next year by a few days as we just couldn’t fit it all in on our one week honeymoon.     Birthday celebration for our friends

    We just returned from an amazing 7 nights couples swept away. That was our first time visiting and no regrets. Before I left, I read the couples swept away reviews on trip advisor so I had no expectations when I arrived in Jamaica. From the airport to my stay at the couples swept away, the people were phenomenal. We arrived at the Montego Bay Airport and we were welcomed with Champagne before our shuttle ride to the Resort which was 1.5 hours ride. Yes, there was traffic just like anywhere else . Yes, they asked for tips at the airport and that was the end for requesting tips. Granted tips were not requested at the Resort, however this people went out of their ways to make the stay pleasant and memorable. With everything they did, they do deserve tips and we do this in America whether requested or not. We tip our waiters, hair dresses, drivers so nothing different at the resort. These people truly deserve a tip and you know what , even though they did not expect a tip from us but they still did a phenomenal job. The workers were charming, friendly, and respectful. The bar tenders were exceptionally nice even though I rarely drink, they made me some nice fruit punches. We all had to wear masks to the Resturants and had to use their hand sanitizers. They had a free of charge COVID testing site on the premise with less than a day turn around. My husband and I had a wonderful time and we plan to come back soon. Lots of activities to do if you enjoy water sports. They also had volleyball, basketball, tennis, name it they had it. Their Operations Manager even came to introduce himself and asked us about our stay at the Resort. I am not saying this in a bad way at all but for a third world country, they truly hit the mark of making their guests feel welcomed. Their shuttle services were very prompt in taking us back to the airport. They did not leave us at the airport terminal to haul our luggages , they actually hauled them to our airlines check in counters unlike other shuttle services in the states. By the way, even though, It was hot all the shuttle buses were fully air conditioned. Hands down, they worked hard to ensure we had fun. There were times we had , “do not disturb” on our door knob but as soon as we left the room and removed it, no matter the time of the day, they cleaned our room without us calling the front desk for cleaning service. The air conditioning was fantastic. Hats off to the Cabana pool workers. They were opened till 5:30 AM. Very gracious people. FYI, they did not twist my arm to write this review. I wrote it because I wanted everyone to know that the resort was amazing and everyone should give them the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion, their bedroom furnitures were okay and not disappointing.

    Relaxing and well kept resort

    We have just spent two week in Jamaice. A week in CSS and a week in CSA. While CSS has its own thing going for it like sunset beach and amazing massage huts, there are other issues with the resort which I posted in my review of it. The management at the CSA deserves appreciation and kudos for keeping this large resort in such a good condition. You can see stuff here and there painting, fixing an otherwise upkeeping the grounds. Our room while somewhat dated was in great condition with no signs of neglect or disrepear. The bathroom was spotless and it looked like it was renovated, may be not recently, but not too long ago. The food and drink selection in the resort was very good and all the bars and restaurants were open. The only problem that I encountered was a difficulty to reserve a table at the Feathers restaraunt for a particular date and time. The beach at the resort is very long and beautiful and we took long walks on it. The sunsets are breathtaking. The sport facilities are amazing and probably deserve a separate review. We only participated in one yoga class and we enjoyed it very much. There are quite a few local vendors canvassing the beach pestering the guests for attention. Some people might actually like it. In any case there is nothing that the resort can do about it, so it's out of their hands. The security keep an eye at those vendors so you have nothing to worry about. Overall our impression of the resort was very good and I would definitely recommend it.
