Not enough outlets
This hotel charges a "resort" fee of $16, but it was no resort. All it had was a parking lot, rooms, and a swimming pool. Parking was included in that fee, but at times it was difficult to find a spot. This is a motel (room doors open to the outside). I stayed two nights and three days and my room was never cleaned. I don't think they even went inside - towels were left on floor, bath mat was sopping wet, trash not emptied, bed was not made. The room did not have enough electrical outlets. I could not plug in both my CPAP machine and my phone near the bed. I like to have the phone nearby for safety but I had to plug it in across the room. I had to move the desk away from the wall to get to another outlet and unplug either the coffee pot or the lamp in order to plug in my computer. I did like the "feel" of the place and felt safe. All of the rooms are an easy walk from the lobby. The maintenance man, Alfredo, was great! Breakfast at the Inn offered some different choices each of the two days I was there ~ pancakes, sausage, egg patties (blech!), English muffins, bagels, apple and orange juices one day; country potatoes, sausage, and hard-boiled eggs the next. Both days offered 3 different cold cereals, make-your-own-oatmeal, mini muffins, toast, waffles (ready-made), fruit (apples, oranges, bananas), coffee, tea, 2 juices, cranberry cocktail, and hot chocolate. Overall, the Inn was a decent place to stay for a visit to Disneyland, but the rooms need to be cleaned and more outlets need to be provided. The inn/motel is about a mile walking distance to the Esplanade at Disneyland. You can also take the ART shuttle and can buy tickets at the hotel or online. An all day pass is much cheaper than paying for each ride separately even if you only ride it twice. Multiple day passes are available also. Website: rideart.org. TIP: A quicker shuttle pickup when going from the hotel to Disneyland - Walk on S Harbor Blvd towards Disneyland to the traffic light (Convention Way, I think) → Cross the street on the right → On the opposite side (northbound side of Harbor), wait at the ART pickup (“Convention pick up” sign) for shuttle. The shuttle stops more often there and goes straight to Disneyland. There was a shuttle pick up right outside the Cortona Inn in front of the Clarion Hotel (I think), but it goes south first (away from Disneyland) and also it doesn’t pick up passengers as often (we waited at this shuttle for over half an hour & saw buses stop at the Convention pick up four times.) On the way back, you can take the #1 which drops you in front of the Clarion (going south) or the #2 which drops you at the Convention pick-up (you’ll have to cross the street and walk the ½ block to the hotel). Double-check the map to be sure. Also check the map so you know where to get off on the way back. Some of the ART drivers were friendly and extremely helpful and some were not. One wouldn't even tell me where to depart the shuttle for my hotel (and I was a single girl alone at 11 o'clock at night), but fortunately other passengers helped me.
Good hotel if going to Disneyland
Very close to Disneyland, good price, walking distance to Disneyland. Beds were comfortable, free continental breakfast, the coffee in the room is not too good, small bathrooms, otherwise we had a good stay, just spent one night because going to universal studios early morning.
Good Girls Night in.
My mom and I planned to go to Disney and chose this hotel for its closeness and free parking that was available. We never made it to Disney due to the rain and what not going on... we ordered a firestick from Amazon Prime Now and Had it delivered to the room so we could watch movies. The tv/cable provider wouldn’t have been fun for girls night. Beds were comfy but the walls are thin so some people stood outside our door talking and I couldn’t hear the TV as clear as I could hear them. Overall good for the price 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Will not be back to this hotel. Location is good, but we found out the shuttle comes quicker if we walked over to the Clarion. For a continental breakfast food choices were minimal and subpar. Asked for late check out and said we would be charged a $30 fee. Also there was a quiet policy at 10 PM that no one followed.
Good, Not Great
The hotel itself is older. Meeds more updating than what is obvious to see the ownership has tried. Paint and flat screen TVs can’t cover up the true age that shows through. The staff is great. Check in was quick and easy. Housekeeping did excellent work. The breakfast is extremely simple, nothing that will really fill you up. The hot tub was broken during our stay and the details stated it has a heated pool. It doesn’t. Parking is a nightmare. Walking distance to Disneyland is 15 minutes. There are lots of places to eat and a couple pharmacies nearby which are nice to have close. Bottom line, if you want somewhere cheap to stay that’s OK and you only plan on being in your room to shower and sleep, this is a good choice. Other than that, including relaxing by the pool, go somewhere else.
