    Good overall choice

The downtown/university Ramada is a good overall choice with no glaring deficiencies. The central Spokane location is handy although not the best spot in town. It’s actually over two miles to downtown Spokane but a relatively short half mile walk to Gonzaga University. The walk to the university involves going west about a quarter mile through an office industrial area that isn’t really pedestrian friendly. Then head north at Sheridan aiming for a large black building and a bridge spire that resembles the St. Louis arch. The building is the Catalyst EWU which is worth a look itself. Then walk over the spire bridge which spans a railroad track. This leads to the Spokane EWU campus. Continue north until you reach a pedestrian bridge across the river to Gonzaga. You also can follow a walking path to Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane. The hotel pool is nice with a sun area and is currently open by appointment. The room is good with a reliable fan heater. The furnishings and appliances are adequate as well. The drapes are thick enough for sleeping well. It’s not as deluxe or convenient as some downtown hotels but is a good value.

    Just... Don’t

I should’ve spent the extra money on a nicer place. I’m from a big city and have lived in less safe communities, yet never been quite as nervous than staying at this hotel. Front desk staff was nowhere to be found when I arrived (security risk??), sign indicated less frequent cleaning while offering no assurances that my room was cared at tip top shape, the peep hole had tissue in it (because it was broken) and at minimum the tub grout needs to be redone, at max there is mold in the bathroom. Save yourself the trouble and cut out coffee for a week to spend the extra money elsewhere.

    Adequate for your $

Clean for a good price. I had no issues with my stay. The AC worked really well too. The homeless Population has gotten better since i was there last time. I didn't have anyone bothering me when I would go from my car to the building.

No breakfast until 7am on Sundays.

Clean, nice room. Was deprived the included breakfast at 0600 on Sundays when we were told breakfast on Sundays wasn't until 0700.Adding this so it is 200 characters, says not I have 182, so a few more.

    Bad part of town

The front staff was absolutely great! Could not ask for a nicer person to check us in or to interact with. However it isn’t a good part of town. I was thankful for cameras in the parking lot. It’s a non smoking hotel but our floor (2nd) smelled like pot for our entire stay. We put a towel at the bottom of our door. We don’t mind pot as it’s life however it’s a non smoking facility and it was the entire stay. Unless that’s their air freshener? The room was very small but we didn’t spend much time other than sleeping there and in the morning. If you’re looking to stay downtown this is NOT the place to stay.
