    Very strong mold smell across hallway and rooms

    There was a very strong mold stench in the hallways and in our room (108). Hotel could not move us in the first night. We moved to room 126 the next day but there was still a smell of mold, even stronger in the bathroom. Room 126 bathroom had no working ventilation and missing plates in the ceiling.

    This place is filthy, look for other options

    One of the dirtiest places i have stayed at. There was human hair on the bath tub walls and between one set of towels. Most of the housekeeping staff where wearing their masks. Leaves little confidence in the rest of their hygiene levels and now we are left with an increased level of stress and anxiety in this COVID era after having stayed here.

    Our go-to hotel

    I'm very picky, especially nowadays, with cleanliness and attention to health and safety details. As usual, we were not disappointed. We always enjoy our visit at the Baymont!! The owner Steve Ertle, is very hands on and treats everyone like old friends! He is either joining the bartenders making delicious signature drinks or serving the most appetizing meals. He always points us in the right direction, when we are looking for things to do!! The staff are exceptional and super friendly, as well. We are just a 2 1/2 hr drive from N.Y. and look forward to returning very soon!!!!

    Dirty, noisy, unhealthy

    Breakfast is included, nothing to brag about but what can you expect? That's not the deal breaker here. The worst part about this hotel is the complete lack of safety concerns exhibited by both the staff and most importantly by the guests. I would say about 90% of the people staying here do no bother to wear masks. They nonchalant walk around the hollway, the lobby and all around without a mask. Many times we would be in the lobby and here they would come, walk right by the receptionist without a mask and not a beep of a warning from the staff. When we complained to the people in the reception area about this lack of safety protocol, their response "We can't babysit everyone." On a few occasions there were guests getting on the elevator without a mask (right in front of the reception desk by the way) and they would gesture to us that there was room. We would of course decline. Oh yes, there are signs all over the the hotel telling people they must wear a mask, but nobody's listening and no one's enforcing it. Remember, "They can't babysit everyone." But when "everyone" refers to about 90% of the guests, that's a big problem. And don't you dare go in the pool, although many will, I'm sure. What a disgusting looking pool. No one in the hotel is monitoring the number of people in the pool area. One day, I heard music blasting from there. I went to take a look and the pool was packed. Absolutely no way to maintain social distance while in there. Everyone just swimming, talking, socializing, without any regards as to what's going on. A place that perhaps should be limited to about 15 people at most to exercise proper distancing, had about 50 people there. Absolutely unhealthy. I ran out of there as fast as I could. The second floor hallway smelled disgusting. Off the elevator on the 2nd floor they had a sofa. I guess a lounge area sort of speak. One day I get off that elevator, a whole bunch of kids ranging from ages 6-15 sitting on the sofa, on the floor, just all over. And their parents and staff, no where in sight to tell them they were blocking the path. My take home message, if you don't care about your health, being annoyed by rude guests, and incompetent staff, by all means go to this hotel. Otherwise, stay far, far away.

    Super dog friendly but could use more room cleaning

    Superficially cleaned for sure. But a deep clean was hardly done. If you pull the blinds back there were dead flies and spider webs. So needles to say when we left the room was sanitized with Lysol spray and chlorox wiped down so likely cleaner then when we arrived. Pool looked fun but indoors so with COVID that was a hard no for us. They allowed dogs which was a huge bonus and only 10’minutes from camelback. They had corn hole out back to play and a beautiful jungle gym. Beware of poison ivy on the grounds. Drinks and happy hour were great. And the breakfast was filling and controlled by wait staff so no contamination from customers (this was GREAT) and evening meals at restaurant were super delicious and reasonable.
