    Booking was a pleasant experience!

The booking Agent, Diante Ashby, was SO helpful and gave us the best deal possible, he was friendly and knowledgeable. We are very excited to be coming to stay in September and know the Resort is beautiful and have wanted to stay here for a couple years now, finally getting the opportunity, I know we won't be disappointed if the first contact over the phone is any indication.

Great stay at the Catamaran Resort!

Recently spent a weekend at Catamaran Resort and had a wonderful experience. Hitomi Kato went above and beyond ensuring our stay was memorable and ensuring all of our needs were met. Johanna and Roman were also available to help whenever needed. The room was very comfortable and the property was well maintained. Highly recommend this resort and can't wait to go back!

Great spring break at the Catamaran

We had planned on staying at the same hotel we did our last trip to SD but they were undergoing renovations. We were disappointed at first, but now we are so glad because it gave us the opportunity to stay at the Catamaran. It’s hard finding a hotel in SD; even the pricier hotels get wishy washy reviews or enough negatives to scare us away. We had read good things about the Catamaran but it was out of our budget until they ran a promotion for guests staying longer- which we were! Betty in reservations was an amazing help; she answered all of my many questions and made sure we were in the best building and room for our needs. We were on the second (and top) floor in the 700 building which was in a quiet corner of the resort with a view of a pond and lush palm trees that obscured the tower building from our sight. The room was supposedly recently renovated- it looked as if it was refreshed. Most importantly it was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was ok- they came very late afternoon a couple of times just when we were coming back to the room to relax. Location was great. Just steps from beautiful Mission Bay and a block from the bustling path at the ocean. The ocean beach was packed with college kids on the weekend. Lots of restaurants within walking and short driving distance. We found it to be centrally located to all the sights like Old Town, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, downtown and Coronado. We laughed that each destination was a 23 minute drive per our GPS, except Seaworld which was only 5 minutes away. Self parking in a parking structure was easy. The weekdays were quiet with happy hour specials at the bar. The whole area got more crowded for the weekend, but the Catamaran had some added activities like lei making and Polynesian dancers at the bay. We wish we had stayed an extra day just to relax at the hotel more and maybe take in a spa treatment. I liked just sitting on a lounge chair people watching . Java Joes had good grab and go stuff for mornings before sightseeing, and tasty iced coffee for after. The pool and hot tub were open until 10pm- it was nice to get a late evening soak without small kids jumping in. The Catamaran will now be my go to hotel in SD! And my teenager loved it too. He enjoyed the gym and just walking/jogging around the bay and we felt it was safe enough for him to do on his own.

    Spa Massage

Amazing massage from Miss Shelan! She was so relaxing and focused on all my points of tension. I enjoyed an 80-minute massage and loved every second. I requested medium-firm pressure and focus on my neck/shoulders and it was perfect. I Will definitely be back soon, thank you Shelan!
