Hugo and Charley Boy are the BEST!!
We had an amazing time! Hugo at the swim up bar took great care of us, always keeping our drinks full. Charley Boy was an amazing server on the beach. We had a swim-up on the beach and Charley Boy made sure he included us in his drink orders. Never had an empty drink when he was serving us.

Top notch experience
Pamela was AWESOME! Great customer service, friendly and professional ❤️ I would definitely recommend this resort to others. No bad ass children running around. Grown & sexy. I will come again in the future. The hotel upgraded my room for free for my birthday.

Breathless varies by location, disappointed
5 day vacation in October with friends. Hotel check in was decent. Lavender drink was not my favorite. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Housekeeping does a good job. My friend and I had stayed at Breathless in Punta Cana in April 2024 and were highly impressed, hence booking at the same named resort in Riviera Cancún. Unfortunately our experience at this resort was not what we expected. 2 pools, first day in visited their larger pool. When asked for a drink at the pool bar, bartender said he ran out of ice and had to close the bar. Highly inconvenient, poor bartender, manager communication to ensure ice was available at all times. Bartender prepared warm drink without ice which caused a massive headache first day in. There is only ONE great bartender that appears to know how to prepare drinks, Hugo at Xcelerate (smaller pool) bar. We spent our remaining days at this pool. Hugo was amazing and worked very hard. Great customer service provided by Pascual at the Spoon buffet, Silvio and Pedro at the Cantina, Rigoberto at Coquette. Hugo prepared the best drinks and anticipated customer needs, always on top of what you needed. Very customer eccentric. Carlos and Pepe at the Xcelerate pool were super friendly and helpful. I am Cuban and my friend is Puerto Rican living in the US. We were expecting authentic Mexican food and the entire resort lacked this. Buffet is Americanized and offers little Mexican options. Best restaurant was the Coquette. Hibachi is not their specialty as the food was not cooked properly and caused stomach pain. Italian is not their specialty, pasta was over cooked. We booked an 80 minute massage at the spa in the same suite, spa looked nice but customer service lacked. The therapists appeared to be in training and failed to perform Swedish massage. They simply rubbed oil over and over again. When reported it to a female hotel manager at night, she disregarded the customer feedback to improve their operations and instead, re-emphasized that the therapists knew what they were doing. Waste of money. If they are not willing to listen to their customer and use constructive feedback to improve their services, not sure they want to be the top resort. On checkout, a male agent charged us more than what the fees should’ve been, and caused delays on checkout, while transportation shuttle waited for us. Not pleasant departure. We’re big on music and entertainment. DJs here play horrible playlists. Spotify can do better. DJ Hagi was rude when requesting a song and disregarded the diversity of cultures and guests at the pool, only playing one type of genre, Techno. Nightclubs in Florida are out of this world compared to DJs here. Entertainment needs work. They tried but lacks more planning and promotion. Never at the pool or throughout the resort were guests reminded of what activities were planned that day/night to increase participation. Finally, we paid approximately $1,400 per person for 5 days. I’m disappointed to say that we expected more after spending our best vacation at Breathless at Punta Cana. We will not be coming back to this resort, and out of 10 stars, I give 4. It might be for up to your standards, but if you pay attention to these things, you will notice and not enjoy your vacation at this resort and regret spending money here.

Needs Help
The resort is very small the entertainment needs some upgrading, DJ is horrible and the food was not that great. Being a Preferred member which I paid extra for was a waste of money as there were no extra perks for being preferred at this resort. Overall I give this vacation a 2 1/2 out of 10, I will never be back to this resort in particular.

Great resort
We just got back from a great stay at Breathless Rivera Cancun. This is our second trip to this resort and it did not disappoint again. The room was great we stayed in 4305. It was very close to everything, the pools, and restaurants. The balcony on this room was great. It was huge and we could sit outside and listen to entertainment. Our room was cleaned everyday and the mini frigid was also restocked. The food at all the restaurants was good. For sure recommend The Strip grill and Silk City. We arrived just a couple of days after a tropical storm and the resort looked great. The entertainment team was amazing. Talking with everyone and helping with anything. I have to give a special thanks to Memo and Pedro from the team. They were both some much fun. The music at the activity pool was also very good. The Dj played a good mix of music. If you are at the active pool be sit in Edwin’s section of the pool. He is a great server. We never wanted for anything everyday that Edwin was serving. Thanks
