    The worst hotel experience.

We visited this hotel for Essence Festival weekend. After leaving a Wyndham property because they didn’t have any more room for the last 3 nights of our visit in Nola, we booked here. Our hotel smell and had mold around the refrigerator. I sprayed Lysol on the carpet. On the outside of our room, I assumed there was an ice machine that was there. It was removed and left unattended. It had mold all around it. The wallpaper was peeling and had mold on it. The hall carpets was stained and smell. The rooms need new painting. Overall, the hotel needs an overhaul.

    Not a good stay

Very poor customer service. We stood at the door 20 minutes at the restaurant (Cafe at the Square), while the waiter and the manager walked past us and never once acknowledge that we were standing there. After waiting 20 minutes at the door I finally asked if they had a table and they both stated they did not know we needed a table and that we did not say anything. I mentioned to them that was somebody standing at the doorway waiting to be seated. Maybe you should ask as a courtesy. One waiter walked us into the restaurant and set us at a table, gave us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. The manager came up with an attitude and angry as I don't know what, stating that they're closed and the kitchen is closed. she then proceeded to snatch the menu out of our hands and with a rude attitude stated the kitchen is closed we're not serving anymore and walked away. I do believe her attitude was clearly totally unprofessional. Please don't eat here. Very bad service very bad attitudes. Period to sit and watch two people standing at the door for 20 minutes and stating that the customer never said anything is beyond stupid to me. Gym was beyond filthy. Clearly someone was eating there daily and leaving their food there. Trash was all over and it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. Valet was beyond overpriced at $56/day. Street parking is free on the weekend but we were never told that and even saw the hotel valet sign still posted outside all wknd. Nice view but the front desk had no professionalism and didn't act as though they were the face of the hotel. Attitudes were horrible and not pleasant. We felt as though we were bothering them. Them seemed so angry and aggressive. Professionalism goes a long was.

Expensive run down hotel with rude staff

The hotel upon check in charged almost $40 a day in extra fees not clear on the reservation. Staff was rude and completely incompetent. Hotel was old and run down and the tub shower did not even drain right. Not worth the money at all.

    Dishonest and Dirty!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! This hotel is dishonest and non-responsive! We booked a room through Priceline and the front desk attendant refused to allow us to check in because of a supposed issue with the pay info sent by Priceline. I showed several confirmations that I’d paid for the room, but the attendant said it wasn’t her problem and I needed to figure it out. We spent almost an hour in the lobby on hold with Priceline trying to get it resolved. During that time, two guests came down complaining of issues in their room and the attendant said she “just worked night shift” and again, it wasn’t her problem. Another guest came down shirtless and barefoot with dirty feet, and I saw a roach crawling through the lobby. We decided to just cancel and find another hotel. But here’s the kicker—hotel management refused the cancellation with Priceline and said we stayed there! After refusing to allow us to check in!! I guess they magically got their money after all. I’ve left messages for the manager four times and emailed twice. No response. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
