Stayed at this hotel the beginning of September for 3 days. At first, our stay was good. There was a smell in the area between the restaurant & bar.It smelled like broken sewer pipes when we 1st checked in. Our room was ok. The bed was very hard & not really comfortable for me. The pool is accessed with your room key, and at 10pm, the gates are locked & you can"t access the poor or Jacuzzi area. The pool, when opened is nice. The Jacuzzi was closed due to Covid. One night coming home, we parked in their parking lot & were approached by a homeless woman asking for money. There is homeless people hanging around in the parking lot are of the hotel. On Friday night, we were woken up at 2am by homeless people running past out room. We had a room close to the pool area. They hopped the fence & were having a party in the Jacuzzi & were washing their clothes & hanging up their laundry on the gated area around the pool. They were sitting all over the cars, drinking & smoking. We ended up moving our car. When my husband went to the lobby to tell them what was happening, nobody was at the desk, & after about 10 minutes when someone did finally come to the desk, they told my husband that they " aren't security, why are you telling us?" We checked out the next morning, asked to speak to a manager; but was told that the manager was on a conference call. We were given the managers business card, and as of today, it has been 7 days & my email to the manager has not been returned, nor has my phone call to him. I am also still waiting for my credit to be refunded to my credit card that has not been refunded.
Drug Addict and Homeless Hotel?
BEST WESTERN -Seven Seas #1 First room offered had an overwhelming musty smell! #2 Found a used hypodermic needle that housekeeping did not get rid of! #3 Strange folks walking around and long-haired big dogs can hang out at jacuzzi. #4 The bar was open, unmasked people seated close together and bartender not even wearing mask! #5 Not up to code - light switch in bathroom near shower nozzle - electrical hazard! Plus bathroom door, once locked, DOES NOT UNLOCK!! Toilet too close to wall, so bangs on the wall when used. #6 Mirror has a sink counter too wide - so can't see your face to put on make-up or for men to shave #7 At the hotel cafe - found two long bone splinters - like fish bones- (scared I would swallow it and choke), along with a bone piece - DON'T ORDER THE TURKEY DINNER! Waiter did not seem concerned... #8 No traffic mirror - so driving to room is risky since you can't see an oncoming car around the corner until it's too late!
Worst hotel stay I ever had...
I stayed at your Best Western in San Diego on Sep 4-5. When I got to my room the door at first didn’t open. I went to the front desk again and the second time it didn’t open. It took about 4 phone calls to front desk 30 mins waiting to get into my room. At about 1am someone tried breaking into my room for a good 30 mins. I called the front desk about 2 times it took 10 mins to get someone to even answer!!! My next step was the police. When I got in touch with front desk they told me they by accident sent someone who just checked in by accident to my room, and I was suppose to be in room 505 which makes no sense on how I even got in the room at the first place. If I didn’t have my top lock on I would have had people in my room at 1am. This is not acceptable. I don’t even understand how this happen. I couldn’t sleep all night after that. Traveling for many years I never had anything like this happen. I don’t even need a appoligy your hotel employees ruined my whole stay in san diego due to a stupid error which should have not happen. When checking out I didn’t even get an apology the man at the front desk had a smirk like It was funny. Im truly disappointed in your staff and the experience I had. I will be contacting Best Western corp since this is not acceptable for anyone to deal with. Than when I got home I was billed twice $2.88 for water that I never even used and a “incidental charge” of $86 when I was told it is $75. Thank you. P.S Manager has not replied to my emails for over 2 weeks. Just to show how much this property and staff care about guests! Stay away.
There's an OASIS at the Best Western Seven Seas Resort!
I've had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Seven Seas Resort on Hotel Circle in San Diego several times over the last few months. Each visit has been exceptional due to the fantastic staff, luxurious renovated rooms, amenities like gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi,and last but not least the design and landscaping. It feels like you are in Hawaii with all of the lush tropical plants and palm trees. They must have an army of well trained gardeners to keep up with it all.There is a Cafe on property that serves breakfast and dinner and I think I've tried everything on the menu. Nothing was disappointing and the waiters are top-notch. They even do ROOM SERVICE! The Best Western Seven Seas Resort is my first choice of all the properties on Hotel Circle in San Diego. The best part about it is the prices are HALF of what you'd expect to pay at a similar resort. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
Front desk and maids never had clean towels to give us. Ants all over the bathroom and sink area. All three days - Ants. The air conditioner could not keep up. During the day the room would get super hot.
