AWFUL!
Since this hotel is part of the Hilton collection, I thought it would be a pleasant stay. It was one of the worse. Was there 3 nights, floors were never cleaned; the same beach stones were there each day in the same spots; there was mold around the fixtures in the shower. The shower had no shelving to hold toiletries nor did it have appropriate number of safety bars; The handle to turn on the shower head had to be jiggled to get it on full. The toilet seat was loose and I had to request 2 times before someone came to tighten. The pillows were so soft I requested at the front desk if they had featherless pillow. The front desk person looked at me with a blank stare and said she would check. Never got an answer and no new pillows in my room; next morning a different person, also didn't know and she would check; when I returned later in the day I had 2 better pillows. Neither of the front desk persons looked up and greeted me when I had approached the desk. This was typical of most of the staff. The coffee pot overflowed the first morning; so we stopped using it. My daughter found out in the morning you could get coffee near the reception desk; however the last morning we were there, that coffee service was gone; the front desk told her Beal's contract with Starbucks was over. When she asked if she could get courtesy coffee in the restaurant, she was told she'd have to pay for it. The restaurant was terrible. As we were traveling on a bus tour, a special breakfast menu was set up for us; however, the kitchen staff was so overwhelmed that our food was lukewarm to cold; the home fries were so thin and burnt, you could hardly cut them and when I tasted them, it was a grease ball, that I had to spit it out. Once your order was taken, it was 15-30 minutes before your plate was put in front of you. The bartenders were sociable, but we found it difficult to identify any alcohol in our cocktails.

Don't Hesitate!
Perfection! The staff is very welcoming upon arrival and the location is 10/10. Yes there is construction on the bridge, but it never bothered us and we didn't experience any delays during our 5-day stay. Pros: -Extremely nice and professional staff in every department. -Directly on the beautiful beach. -Clean Rooms; no carpet to hold sand. -Onsite restaurant and bar with delicious food, drinks, and friendly staff. - Restaurants within walking distance that are open late. -Within minutes of grocery stores & shopping -Less than 30 minutes to Destin Cons: -$15 parking per day -Water pressure in shower

First Time at the Beal House
My husband and I love the Destin beach area. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary . It was our 1st time staying at the Beal. Schickri was the BEST! We enjoyed dining at the Remedy Friday night. He knows how to treat guests and is very personable. Natalie was great also. She wasn’t our server but took great care of use. Perhaps Makayla could learn from her. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Being in walking distance from the beach is very convenient. We would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff was professional and our room was clean. Which is very important!

Great find beachfront in Destin
This is such a great little hotel right on the beach with great service. The view from my gulf front room was fabulous. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and the restaurant, “the Remedy” is a nice set up with friendly service and good food. Highly recommend.

Great gulf front option
We had a great stay at The Beal House. It’s not a huge place which is nice because the beach area was not as crowded as neighboring complexes. We stayed in a 2 queen gulf front room which I highly recommend if you can. It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and sit out on the balcony with a cup of coffee. The rooms are basic hotel type rooms but they have everything you need including a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave and it’s evident they have recently been remodeled. We flew into VPS and ubered to the hotel so we didn’t have a car and we didn’t really need one. The convenience of having an on-site restaurant was great for times we didn’t want to go anywhere else to eat but there are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance too as well as the pier. I definitely recommend the tacos and fish and chips from the dinner menu. The Floribama Benedict off their brunch menu was a-mazing!! One of the highlights of our stay was getting to know Schickri at the bar. He was awesome, took great care of us and makes great drinks. One of the nice things about staying at a smaller hotel is that you get to know the managers and Paula the GM is a sweet lady who does her best to make sure everyone’s stay is a good one. We will definitely be back!
