Excellent Option for Vegas Visitors
We had an excellent stay @ Bellagio. We upgraded our room to a suite and it was WELL worth it. We had a fountain view and a view of the strip. The suite was equipped with everything we needed; large couch with chaise lounge, beautiful comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom with French door closet, large television, bar, breakfast table & separate desk as well for taking calls.

A Very Enjoyable Weekend at the Bellagio.
Let’s start with the room. We had a Fountain View King room. It was a nice size, but the 8th Floor is too low to truly enjoy the fountain view. Good decoration, nice bathroom, decent toiletries and the mini-bar seemed well-stocked (didn’t use it though). On the negative side, the towels seemed cheap, the room safe was a bizarre size and shape and the AC struggled. (On the AC — this seems a common complaint. After the first day, we left the shades closed when we left the room for the day, which helped keep out the August Nevada heat.). All in all — 7/10 for the room. The service. With one exception, the service was pretty good. The housekeeping was excellent, the service around the pool was very good, the service at the Pool Cafe was also very good, the spa team was good and the service at the breakfast spots we tried was satisfactory. The breakfast spots were overwhelmed by the crowds, but that was not the fault of the staff. We did not use room service or the concierge services. The exception — everything about the check-in process was unsatisfactory. Yes, we arrived late on a Friday evening, so perhaps that explains (a) the complete lack of any assistance with our luggage upon arrival and (b) the painfully slow check-in. It took 47 minutes from our cab’s arrival at the hotel to our arrival in our room. 6 out of 10 for service. The pool area was excellent. As noted above, the service was very good. The pool area wasn’t overly crowded and the towel supply was abundant. The drinks were massively overpriced, though. 9 out of 10 for the pool. We did not use any of the regular dining locations other than the Pool Cafe, which was perfectly serviceable. 7/10 for the Pool Cafe, judging it by the standards of a pool-side restaurant. As other commenters have noted over the years, the casino layout is difficult. The Bellagio has consciously decided to place the casino in the path of substantial guest traffic flow. That means the casino’s environment swings between the spectacularly manic (such as when we arrived late on Friday evening and had to walk, with two suitcases, through a maddening crowd from check-in to the tower elevator) and the outright depressing (such as walking past numerous dark and vacant tables in the morning to get breakfast). I think the casino layout detracts from the Bellagio experience for the average guest, but I don’t know what the hotel can do about it. So taken as a whole, and judging the Bellagio by reference to its peers, 4 stars seems right.

Beautiful hotel
Luggage assistance staff very friendly and helpful. Our room with fountain view was spectacular. Lots of shops and food at the hotel. Only negatives, public bathrooms not very clean and construction traffic. But still A+

Bellagio Stay
Pretty much the same old place. Rooms are needing an upgrade. The carpeting and finishes are getting a bit shabby. Dealers are uninspired and clearly not happy. Having only $25 craps even on weekdays doesn't make sense. Tables sit empty. Make them $15 and you will actually get play.
