Good Hotel
I stayed there twice for business. Had a great stay. They just need to work on their internet service in the Hotel specially when you're traveling for business, otherwise is a good property.

International chain hotel with airport shuttle
This is a very comfortable hotel and would have achieved 5 stars if it were possible to walk or take the bus into town. Its environs are noisy, busy and semi industrial. It is best suited for use as a transit stop between the airport and other longer stops or for conducting business

Hotel fine, room clean and WiFi works
About the best hotel we used on our trip through Costa Rica. Room fine and bar service good. The bar food was ok and breakfast fine. WiFi worked better than most on our tour. Hotel has a gym and pool, overall fine for a nights stay. Taxi to centre takes around 20 mins

3 days in San Jose
Generally good value compared to other nearby options. Older hotel but well-maintained and quite nice. City noise can be heard but not bothersome.

A letdown overall
Let me start by saying that if you intend to stay here for multiple nights in a row then it might be a great spot for you, but it is pretty terrible for a one night stay. First, the booking rate showed as $65 a night which seemed reasonable and accurate to me based on the $135/night I was paying for a vacation rental near Paquera for the rest of the trip. Once we check in I discover that price is PER PERSON, so now I'm paying almost $200 for a one night stay that includes breakfast. I wish I had decided to leave at that moment, but I was traveling with an anxious teen, and we were all tired and hungry so I just agreed and handed over my card. Check in is at 4, and once that was complete we arranged to use the included airport shuttle service at the unholy hour of 3am the next morning. After dropping our bags in the room we went to return our rental car. When we got back it was time to enjoy our last night in Costa Rica chilling at the pool. But NO! After finding the pool side bar and towel station closed I went to the front desk to ask for a towel and was told that I wouldn't be able to use the pool because it closed at 5pm. The staff attitude seemed to be a general sense of "that's not my problem". I get that they can't reopen or change the rules for one person, but just a sliver of sympathy or an offer to talk to someone about the situation would have gone a long way. The room was serviceable, but nothing fancy. Our room for four was supplied with 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth, and no bath mat. The shower leaked water all over the floor and I had to use the hand towel to mop it up. By this point I was already too tired and annoyed to even bother calling the front desk about it. The TV remote would not connect to streaming, so we were left with HBO in English. We gave up and went to bed early. The shuttle to the airport was the shining light in this review. They were on time, courteous, and got us to the right spot with ease. Cheers to those staffers! The "to go" breakfast we were offered since our flight left before breakfast service began was less stellar. A bag containing a can of soda, a red delicious apple, and a sandwich consisting of dry white bread, a slice of tomato, processed cheese, a single slice of ham deli meat, and lettuce was handed off with no words. One bag didn't even have a sandwich, instead containing four slider buns and a flattened croissant! Overall this was a miserable experience, especially for the price.
