Another great trip to Barcelo
4th trip to Barcelo Maya Palace. Everything was wonderful. Great food, drinks and beach. They did a great job cleaning the beach every day. We enjoyed the Mariachi band in the lobby bar!

Sargassum can’t beat the exceptional Barceló team
Despite heavy sargassum affecting the entire Mayan Riviera during our visit, Barceló did a remarkable job keeping the beaches pristine, allowing us to fully enjoy snorkeling and relaxing on the sand. The pools, amenities, and overall facilities at Maya Palace were outstanding, and the staff made every moment memorable. I am already looking forward to returning. Public recognition of these personnel. • Jesus Hernandez, the bellboy, truly exceeded our expectations and played a key role in making our stay at Barcelo special. • Alejandro Erazo, supervisor at the Mirador restaurant, consistently demonstrates outstanding leadership and a warm, engaging personality. Restaurants: • Tokio – Jose at the Tepanyaki • Hacienda – Fabian Ek. • Marenostrum – Roman and Alejandro • Le Brasserie – Rey and Yuceli • Caribe – Manuel El and Aracely Uc.

Overrated
I don't know how they get the ratings they have here on TA. Getting dinner reservations was impossible. We at 1 time before 8:30 the entire week we were there. The food is poor at the buffets, food is at least decent at the restaurants if you can get in. Was never told there was a dress code so none of us had long pants which are required at ALL restaurants. ALL INCLUSIVE has always meant everything is included other than like jet ski's or parasailing etc... However, wine was additional, bowling is additional, go carts are additional just to name a few. People wake up SUPER early and go reserve all the lounge chairs at the pool. By 7 am there is absolutely no place to sit and some of those people don't even come to the pool until like lunch time or after. The pool was missing a LOT of tiles. My daughter cut her foot on a spot that was missing tiles. If you wanted a Cabana, guess what, yep that's right, you have to pay extra for one. The beach is rocky and we were there during seaweed season (summer) which many the beach not an option. The room was OK but the beds were full sized beds so for 2 average size adults to sleep in 1 bed was tough. The room also would not hold a cool temp. It got up over 80 during the middle of the night and we would wake up sweating. This is strange since during the heat of the day the AC worked just fine. We've been doing all inclusive resorts every year for many many years and this was BY FAR the worst one we have ever stayed at. Terrible experience from the very start.

Hundley Stay 6/22-6/29
The only complaint I have is that we never got fruit in our room and mentioned it to the staff, and the snacks didin't get replaced, except once, and I had to ask. We also only got washcloths once, and I had to ask for those. They never replaced them, when they changed towels. Overall, our trip couldn't have been better! We recommend Barcelo to everyone we know!!

Not all is included in this “All-inclusive”
Very nice property with lots to do but lacking in the food department and guest experience. Also an all inclusive means everything ( within reason) is included. Which it’s not the case here. Activities like mini golf, go karts, and even room service were extra.
