The television connection didn’t work so I was unable to watch television the
Only one elevator worked for the first 4 days. The room service cleanliness could’ve been better. Upon arrival one room wasn’t acceptable at all , wasn’t clean as it should have been.

Extremely Disappointing stay, not to the Hyatt standards
DO NOT STAY !! Read through the entire review its worth it!!! Extremely Disappointing Stay at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos – Not Worthy of the Hyatt Name Let me begin by clarifying that Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is not located in Cabo San Lucas—it is in San José del Cabo. So if you’re expecting the lively, vibrant experience of Cabo San Lucas, this resort is not for you. We are loyal Hyatt clients who have stayed at many Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara properties across the globe. Sadly, this property does not live up to the Hyatt standard in any way. Despite booking a Premium Oceanfront Suite and paying extra for upgraded service, the experience was a complete letdown. We were assigned a personal concierge, who was meant to take care of all our needs—but he was useless. I’ll refer to him as Mr. No, because every request was met with a refusal. Whether it was restaurant reservations or assistance with anything on the property, the answer was always “no” or “try walking in at 6 PM and see.” Zero effort or hospitality. The room had a nice view, but that’s about it. The decor is outdated, the bedding feels cheap, and the bathroom had visible mold in the shower corners. The floors were worn and clearly not well maintained. The entertainment was just as disappointing. The evening shows were poorly executed, with outdated costumes and weak performances that felt more like a high school talent show than a resort production. The theater itself is uncomfortable, with old, worn-out chairs that make it hard to sit through a full show. Now, let’s talk about the food—by far the worst part of our stay. The food across the property is extremely poor quality. The buffet is reminiscent of a low-budget Dominican Republic hotel—bland, repetitive, and often served cold. Cleanliness is another issue; the buffet area often felt dirty, and the staff working there were inattentive and unprofessional. We tried the Indian restaurant, and the food was pre-cooked, served cold, and lacked any authentic flavor. It was honestly one of the worst meals we’ve ever had at a resort. We also dined at the Asian restaurant, where the fish was discolored, flaky, and undercooked. We have not had a single decent meal during our entire week-long stay. In conclusion, this resort is a poor representation of the Hyatt brand. The service, food, accommodations, and overall experience fall far below expectations—especially for what you pay. We would absolutely not return to this location and cannot recommend it to anyone looking for the quality and care usually associated with Hyatt properties.

A most gluttonous experience!
The premise is huge, as are the pools! The biggest standout of our trip was the incredibly helpful and happy staff at Ziva. We felt very spoiled. I would highly suggest the hotel for families with big and small children. If you'd like to venture out, it's a 5 minute Uber ride from the small downtown area, and 20 minute ride from the Arches. There really is something for everyone at Hyatt Ziva. Food standouts: Bon Vivant (rack of lamb, creme brulee, and foie gras were quite good) Mahika had tasty Indian food La Plaza buffet had a lot of great options at any time of day. Breakfast options like churros, cafe de olla, chilaquilas station were nice touches. The grilled dinner options (fresh prawns) were great - also, the fried chicken here is pretty decent! The bar at the adult pool has the best tacos at the hotel. Ceviche bar is open from 12-5, and it is also very fresh.
