Great view and bay sand for family!
Older hotel but great location with bay and sand area. We really enjoyed our trip and stayed in a room right on the bay where kids could take 8 steps to the sand. Free sun beds and chairs which was nice and we enjoyed the pool area as well. Very good location close to seaworld and whale watching tours. Would stay here again.

Nightmare
We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids. We booked the 1 bedroom room. We had requested a quiet clean room. We got room 354. Paid $686. Got charged $786 on card. We have stayed in dozens of hotels ranging from motel 6’s to $1600 per night hotels as comparison. The good; - friendly staff - nice location - “near room parking” (no valet though). The bad; - extremely loud, thin walled hotel. Party until 4am upstairs with teenagers stomping, cussing etc. Front water location means you have a walking path in front of your patio with people talking all night. Parking lot is right outside your room, so when big trucks arrive at night, it’s like you are sleeping in a parking garage. Ear plugs didn’t help either (it was that loud) - room smelled incredibly bad. There was a distinct pet odor smell that was tried to be masked by a spray. Our kids, who are not picky about smells, had this as their first reaction too. We couldn’t open a window to air it out due to the loud surroundings either. - dirty dirty carpet. This was the first hotel -ever- where we asked our kids to keep their socks on. Carpet included lots of visible stains, similar to pet pee. - tiny room. For $686 you expect a room where you can at least fit a suitcase in the bedroom. Not so much. You have 1.5 feet on the sides of the bed before you hit the wall. - in communication with the manager upfront, they promised they would have the room prepared with pillows for the pull out bed etc. This didn’t happen either. No preparation was done. Luckily main bed came with 4 pillows (as usual) so we could have our pillows with the kids. Our 2nd day outing in San Diego was ruined by us all not sleeping. What was supposed to be a great hotel ended up being a nightmare from hell. I’d compare this to a truck stop motel with nice surroundings. Do better Bahia, do better. This is not what $686 should be. $125 maybe

Awesome staff
A check in, Ben was super friendly, professional, and polite. I had an issue with my room where some bugs came in at night due to a partially open window, and after I requested a room change, he immediately put me in a brand new room. One of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had in terms of staff friendliness.
