    A mediocre stay

The room was large and the bed was comfortable but the pull out sofa wouldn’t pull out and it took over 30 minutes to get hotel staff to help, the building overall was very outdated when it comes to the carpet, room doors, windows, etc. it felt like an old apartment building turned resort. Windows were thin where we’d hear all the rumblings of their operations in the maintenance building that was adjacent. They started loud activities at like 7am, which I thought was too early. Hotel staff often weren’t helpful, did not prioritize guest movement to their own, and did not speak English. The restaurant on property looked nice but was very high priced so we didn’t go. The private beach wasn’t well kept, had more trash than I’d expect from a private beach. You could also easily walk around the beach to the area where it turned to public beach where I did not feel safe with my wife and young kids as there were many vehicles parked that looked to be lived in and were there our entire stay, and shady looking people hanging out nearby. The only plus was Martin G., who ran activities at the resorts pool, which included a fun diving activity for the kids to win a prize, an arts and crafts hour for the kids to paint little jewelry boxes and statuettes that they got to keep, and bingo where I won $50 room credit. Overall, the resort was just okay. I wouldn’t return, nor would I recommend to anyone to stay here.

    Relaxing staycation

Lovely setting, excellent customer service from the front desk staff, especially Ben who was engaging and upbeat. Enjoyed the pool, the beach, shuffleboard, etc. We were surprised to not have housekeeping during our 4 night stay, would have liked to have been told that at checkin rather than having to call and ask why we weren't getting it.

    Fantastic resort for families!

We had a fantastic stay at Bahia resort. Great location right by Belmont Park and the Mission Beach boardwalk, room was great for the family and we enjoyed using the pool and restaurant. Perfect base for family trips across the city and to the zoo and Legoland. Special shout out to Ben at the front desk for making everything so smooth as well as Timothy, and Jean at the restaurant who was so friendly with the kids. Highly recommended!
