Perfect holiday
Just spending our last few hours at this hotel after a lovely two week stay. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and again we are not disappointed. We only had one negative which was we found the waiter staff in the beach restaurant to be very rude on the few occasions so we simply stopped using it and after talking to a couple in the next room they also said they had, had the same experience. My husband did speak to someone in charge and explained we were totally ignored and had been waiting 15 minutes for cutlery and told to sit down when I approached the member of staff to ask for some needless to say not what you want on your holiday but this is my only negative. On the other hand the restaurant in the main lobby was fantastic. We were made very welcome every morning by Miguel and Kinguel (apologies if I’ve spelt your names wrong). We usually sat in the same place and everything was served promptly and with a smile which goes a long way with us. They work so hard every day so well done to all of you and thank you. As I said we have been to this hotel 3 times and have ventured out a little more this time after dinner each night and never realised just how big this complex actually is but everything is easily accessible by the land train which takes you all over. We spent most of our time on the beach during the daytime because after all that’s what we come to Dominican for absolutely beautiful. We would highly recommend this hotel as it’s got everything and as we stayed in a swim up room made it even better. A massive thank you to the luxury Amber perfect holiday again see you all next time. ❤️

Ambar experience
Shout out to Kerlin and Ela at Palmyra lunch, Aquilina, Emmanuel, Kedwin and Imari at Limbo, William and Alexandria at Beach bar, Genaro beach assistance and Belkis at Mikal. And of course, Watson our butler! These people are so very good at their jobs. We very much appreciated the attention and superb service.

Absolutely LOVE this resort!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL resort! Very lush and tropical gounds, the AMBAR pool is huge and nice, and the beach with it's powder soft sand and pretty water were both outstanding! Suggestion - get up early and go watch the sunrise on the beach - absolutely breathtaking! We stayed in a Corner Jr. Suite in building 68 (68201) and it was fantastic! Very large and modern! Room service was great and the front desk always called after our order was delivered to make sure that we received everything correctly. All the Guest Service people were very helpful - Jeffrey, Jose, Jesus, Isaletta (?) - as well as the maid sservice (sorry I didn't get their names!). Loved seeing MANY sweet cats all over the property. I think that they must just own the resort and Bahia must pay rent to them - ha! The spa was AWESOME! Went twice for couple massages with Gisell and Marcia and they were incredible! The only bad part of our entire stay was having to leave this incredible resort - didn't want to go home! We WILL be back soon! 5 STARS

Some notes from my trip
- Private transfer/taxi between PUJ airport and resort takes 30 minutes on a Sunday - There could be 100 rooms cleaned and available, but they're not going to let you check-in before 3PM (perhaps with a fee ?), but will slap black wristband on you right away so you can enjoy the resort - make sure your bathing suit is easily accessible - Don't book/upgrade to the swim-up rooms if you value your privacy - Wifi on beach is hit and (mostly) miss - A la carte availability changes constantly, just keep checking the app if you really want a specific restaurant/time-slot - There is no real reason to eat at the Las Olas Beach complex - Sports bar showed NHL playoffs on main screen - channel wasn't available on in-room TV - My rating of a la carte restaurants - A were great, B were good, C are a pass A. Limbo (Ambar), MEAT (Ambar), Yurta (Esmeralda) B. Caicu Rodizio (Esmeralda), Taino (Esmeralda) C. Naan (Esmeralda) - Having been to Mongolia restaurants in other cities, we were surprised how tasty Yurta was, only restaurant we visited 2x

Don’t go to this place - staff are horrible and only 10% are nice
We came with a big group for work. Upon arrival, we noticed the check in process was just horrible - it took hours and hotel was not even ready for us. Some folks arrived at night at Mr. Wilkin (assistant mgr at night) insinuated a wife was a prostitute. Wouldn’t even let her in or help us find another hotel. What a horrible experience for someone who flew from California and had a delayed flight.
