Very, very bad today is my first day and the only thing I can say is don't waste your money on this resort the food is garbage everything is very old I'm stuck here for a week but I would never come back even the pool is dirty the buffet are nothing compared to the Melia hotels.

THE POOL BARTENDER "LUIS" PROVIDED GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. HE WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. CHEERFUL AND HAPPY. HE MADE OUR TIME AT THE POOL BAR SUPER FUN AND EXCITING. HE IS AN ASSET TO YOUR COMPANY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR MAKING OUR TIME THERE SO ENJOYABLE.

Great holiday lovley staff
Just got home from a week stay honest review check in nice and easy only complaint was hard sell to adults only section / hotel next door made you think why what's wrong with this hotel and it cost 360 doller to upgrade no thanks just payed over 1700 for 2 adults will just stay here ,rooms lovley big nice comfy beds big bathroom shower over bath good ,would recommend second floor room , pool lovley good for people with knee problems like me as there's nice easy stairs with hand rail to get in and out of pool no problem getting sunbeds there's loads swim up bar great service ,food was livley never went hungry little tip go to restaurant on beach at lunch time it's better air conditioned, drinks all nice cocktails amazing .if your going to dominican for a beach with beautiful blue water this isn't the hotel or area to go as sea is not clear pics to follow I would say that's one of my only negative comments on this hotel other then on our second last day some people came and sat at swim up bar with boom box and played it really load then another guest thought oh I go get mine and do the same with different music it was so bad I went to reception and complained it was delt with so if you find this happening tell them they will sort it didn't pay for holiday to listen to someone else music blasting. Overall I loved the hotel the pool the food the room and the walk along the beach but not the sea

The resort is very beautiful, the service is very good, the food is very good, it's very budget friendly. If you only like swimming in the pool, you will enjoy it, but if you, like me like to enjoy the beach, the water is very dirty, you can't see your hands when you swim. Also there is smoke coming from somewhere and all the time you can smell it and I even had soot on my skin a few times.

May 26, 2025Don’t be fooled by the brochure. The room are NOT 5 stars by ANY means
From the moment we went to check into our rooms to the moment we checked out we experienced issue after issue, my friends room had workmen putting (badly) silicone around the bath , meaning a delay and went down hill from there. All our rooms had multiple issues including dangerous plug socket’s, floods, unusable aircon, terrible smells, multiple broken appliance, unusable baths, door cards continuously not working, I could go on. The communal areas were good and the staff in and around were good with the exception of some of the reception staff who treated the ongoing issues almost as a pain. We were not the only guest having room issues it was a running joke around the breakfast table every day. We made the best of it because we had spent a lot of hard earned money for this holiday. On day one they attempted to sell us a $25 a night upgrade and it soon became clear why as the rooms on the side we were on were very badly in need of refurbishment. It is very unfair to have to pay for an upgrade to have the basic standard expected from a so called 5 star hotel. On the last night of holiday our friend was offered an upgrade which is ridiculous as we were checking out the very next morning another example of the poor service
