    Good location

We stayed in a 1 bed room apartment with nice view, the unit is spaces, kitchen is equipped with fridge, coffee machine, glasses, cutlery and sofa set and TV in the living area. Bathroom is big enough. We like the silky coconut shampoo & conditioner provided and even purchased them when we check out. Location is very convenient with about 10 minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants

    Decent place

The hotel is generally okay. It is a little difficult to find their garage for the guest to park their cars. The room was clean and comfortable, but very noisy at night with the AC units outside. The location is nice. There are a lot of places to visit just by walking.

    Nightmare

The bedsheets and blankets is disgustingly dirty. The pillows is old and it has stains all over it. The bed is very Uncomfortable to lay on and the room is stinky. Carpet is dirty. The bathroom floor is dirty. Sofa and chair is dirty and stinks. U can't even seat on it because I'm afraid I might get infected with something dangerous virus. The kitchen is nightmare. Kitchen appliances is dirty and rusty. We are scared to use it.

    A wonderful anniversary trip!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great, and upgrade to ocean view was a wonderful surprise. It was nice to be on the far end of Waikiki, a bit quieter than the vibe closer to downtown Honolulu, though the bus ride was a bit long to get to some locations (Bishop Museum, Pearl Harbor).

Worst Experience at Aston Waikiki Sunset – Stay Away!

Our stay at the Aston Waikiki Sunset was terrible. The hotel is extremely outdated, with old furniture and dirty, stained carpets everywhere. The entire building smells musty and neglected. The worst part was their dishonest practices. We were charged $35 per day for amenities. This was not mentioned on any website, and the majority of amenities were ones we never used, such as parking, barbecue, swimming pool, etc. When we inquired, the receptionist rudely stated that it was "mandatory." This felt like a deceptive and dishonest practice. It should be optional, and guests should be informed in advance, rather than being surprised after check-in. The cleanliness was shocking—our room was not cleaned for three full days, and the trash piled up until we had to call multiple times to request basic service. Even then, the cleaning was rushed and incomplete. The front desk staff were unhelpful and dismissive. This hotel is not worth the money. The only good thing is its location near Waikiki Beach — but honestly, you can find much better hotels in Honolulu for the same price or less, with better service, clean rooms, and no hidden fees. Do yourself a favour and avoid Aston Waikiki Sunset. Huge disappointment.
