June 2025
A beautiful establishment. We stayed for 16 days and loved the room and the staff. The area was close to the Lahaina area, and everyone was very cordial. We love Maui as this is our second trip and we plan to come back next year, We had a one-bedroom on the top floor, which had fantastic views. Loved waking up and going down to the beach and enjoying the morning

Kaanapali Shores best stay we've had in Maui!
We enjoyed a magical stay at your property. The staff was amazing, food delicious and the location unmatched. Above all, the views of the ocean, neighboring islands and the sunset were breathtaking. Definitely will book there again when we return to Maui.

Maui is ready for tourists again
I visited in late May 2025. I heard it everywhere, "Lahaina will never be the same." The fire in early 2024 wiped out a lot of the town. Homes, businesses, attractions were wiped out. This resort (Aston Kaanapali Shores) continues to provide homes for many residents who still have nowhere to live. But it is coming back. We had a great time, the resort has a lot to offer, it's located near popular places to shop, and there is a lot to do in the area. A food truck lot is walking distance from the resort with a lot of affordable options. We heard make sad stories of the people affected, but we also heard many stories of the community coming together to help each other. Tour vans being used to transport supplies, for example. At this resort we felt sheltered by all of that, and our business appreciated. Maui is ready for tourists again, even though it's not quite the same as old Lahaina once was. Most of the summer rush is expected to start in about mid June.

Great place to bring a sports team.
The staff was very attentive. We traveled with our high school tennis team. We requested and got early check in and late check out making things easier for the team. Anytime we needed anything (extra towels, more detergent, etc.) it was brought up right away. Because it the rooms came with a full kitchen, we could cook all the meals in our rooms. Also, washer/dryers were helpful for uniforms.

Would not recommend
So many fees for random stuff. Room was fine, woke up to a clogged tub and food waste in all sinks first morning. Took nearly an hour for maintenance to arrive, we were moved rooms and nothing else was offered to remediate the time wasted or resolve the situation that had eaten 2 hours of our first morning in the stay. Restaurant also served overpriced, not good food.
