This was our first time to the resort and was not impressed. We brought our family of 6 for memorial day weekend and was looking forward to it as this was our first time out since the Pandemic. I chose a room by the water park which was more money. I assumed you could see the water park from the room as that's what was advertised in pics. We got there and our room was definitely not by the water park yet we were still charged the higher rate. The facility itself was not updated. The elevator doors were deteriorating. We chose a queen suite deluxe and it was not impressive. Furniture and decor were outdated. There wasn't even a microwave. For the price of $1000 for two nights I feel we did not get our moneys worth. I asked ahead of time what their plan was for Covid 19 precautions in regards to the water park. They stated they were not allowing the public access and they were limiting the number of guests. When we went to the park on Sunday it was crowded! People at every lounge chair which were side by side. If that was limiting capacity then I can't imagine what it would be like on a normal weekend! There were no social distancing practices in place. We golfed on Monday and paid for 4 golfers. The golf staff was rude and they overbooked tee times. As a result we had to wait at every hole. Overall it was not a pleasant experience from the resort, water park to golf course. We will not be returning or recommending this to anyone.
Recommended for a Staycation and/or Family Trip
I've stayed here twice and loved it each time. First trip was a staycation off of Groupon where our friends split the price of the room, got waterpark passes and just enjoyed some time out of the norm of AZ living! Second trip was with my brother and his family, so for little kids and multi-family this was excellent space! The staff were friendly each time as well! For food, they have a shuttle (or at least they used to) to Aunt Chilada's which is on the outer edge of the property and delicious!
Fantastic resort. The people make all the difference. Of course the property is beautiful but people like Siham are what set this place apart. Her service was absolutely above and beyond. I would recommend this resort to anyone!
Very attentive staff!
The entire staff was kind and accommodating in every area. We had a great mini. Vacation on their beautiful grounds with the family. We had adjoining rooms . There is so much to do for all ages . Great place!
visited just "pre-covid19"
one the nicest, most unique room I've ever stayed at! (And the second nicest is also here) Beautiful grounds and the access to South Mountain is so worth it....try the bike rental folks in the parking lot, great stuff!!
