    not much of a "Resort"

    Rooms were clean, small but acceptable. Grounds were expansive and well kept. Overall employees were friendly and welcoming. However.... The only onsite option for breakfast is the lobby cafe for pre-bagged pastries, bagels and coffee. The pool side food was okay, but the customer had to order at the snack shack and wait for food to be prepared and drinks were fine, but again, no pool-side service, while paying Hawaii prices. The only option for lunch was the pool-side cafe, so if you don't want chicken fingers or nachos, you're out of luck. For dinner (pizza only) or cocktails, they have the lobby bar open for take out only. We waited in line for 30 minutes for a round of drinks to enjoy on the lobby patio. Not much of a resort experience. The clientele seemed to be sports teams running the halls until midnight and local families with coolers of food for the weekend. If food and beverage services were appropriately offered, our experience would have been much better.

    A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

    A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Was a bit shocking to see how overcrowded this place was. The pool was packed with people! The hotel is allowing locals to come into the property and charging them for daily use of the pool and activities. With that being said, there is NO covid compliance going on at this hotel. They pack people in and it is a free for all. The lazy river reminded me of the photos back during Memorial weekend when tubers where lined up to get into the Salt River! When we got to our room after checkin there were dirty towels in the room from previous guests and nothing had been wiped down (spit in the sink in the living room area). It was quite disgusting really. Hard to believe what they are charging for these rooms and the quality you get! Staff switched our room a few doors down afterwards but still didn't get the feeling anything was really clean at this hotel. I am in the travel industry and this hotel could definitly learn from other hotels on how to be compliant with the new standards of Covid. It's a real shame on what this hotel has going on there a the Arizona Grand. I felt like it was a Covid fest pool! We won't be back to this property and would never recommend it to anyone!

    Wasn’t what we expected

    I should’ve been tipped off enough in terms of expectations by the resort’s use of the typeface Trajan. Unfortunately, I wasn’t that impressed. The rooms were decent despite lacking taste or attention to detail. It felt quite bland. The staff were fine but not extraordinary. The prices at the bar and grill in the oasis were an assault on your intelligence—it would be cheaper to buy food and drinks at the airport. And the quality of the food and drinks were comparable to Perkins or a gas station. The pools were okay—the slides were fun—but nothing astounding. I was surprised to see artificial grass used in many areas. You can stay at an all inclusive resort in Mexico that not only includes all food and drinks for cheaper, but is higher quality, has better taste and design aesthetics, has exceptional food, has amazing staff, and has beautifully maintained grounds. My main issue is the expectations and experience that’s presented in the marketing and website is far from reality and therefore doesn’t justify the price you pay. I wouldn’t stay here again.

    I travel for business often but I have to tell you that Jeff- whom works in the lounge/restaurant is the most personable and kind person I have ever met after 30 years on the road. He always goes the extra mile or ten to serve his guests. I will book nowhere else when I travel here because of him.

    could of been better

    so i was happy to return to Arizona after 5 plus years the first thing i said were staying at the grand resort because i stayed there before and had a wonderful stay, well i was wrong well kinda our check in was good she explained everything and told us where our room was. we stayed in a villa suite. for what we paid should nothing be wrong with the room. but it was i called down and told them the ice machine in the refrigerator does not work nothing was done , i asked for a quiet room , that didnt happen and to top it off we was getting harassed by TRUMP SUPPORTERS because we are african american the people down stairs from us was yelling you suck if you dont support trump i called pool, security nothing was done ,sockets coming out the wall in the bathroom , not to mention the people down or above me was smoking on there patio which cause my room to smell. i mentioned all this upon check out and all the girl said was im sorry that this happend other than that they keep the grounds looking nice the property is very clean and big like i remember i dont know if i would stay again im still thinking on it .
