Better options out there
I stayed here for a week for work and will not stay here again. I believe that Hilton recently took them over and they are still working things out. The room that I had was a decent size but old. The door is on an outside corridor and had about a 2 inch gap along the bottom of it and an inch around the rest of it and seemed to be very thin. I could feel the warm air rushing in around the door and you could hear everything outside. I could also hear doors slamming and sliding glass doors opening, and closing all the time. The sliding door to the patio is also very old and not well insulated. The design of my room had the bathroom down the hallway and around the corner, and the air conditioner was in the main room where the bed was. It was very warm in the bathroom as it did not get any cool air. It was nice to have a small balcony except that the air conditioner exhaust blew hot air on you when you were sitting at the table on the balcony. As a Hilton honors diamond member, I got an $18 per day credit for food and beverage. The only place you can use it is in the restaurant attached to the hotel. They don’t open until 7 AM for breakfast and the items are very expensive. There is also not really any type of market that you can use your credit for to get snacks or drinks. They do have a small beverage area in the restaurant with some drinks, but that is it. I usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road and you can use your credit at their store to buy many different things. I only used my credit here partially twice during my five days. The staff at the hotel and the restaurant overall were not very friendly. While I was here, I got a note that they were going to be upgrading the door locks to the room and were going to be coming in to do it whether you had your do not disturb sign on or not. I found this to be a little strange. I did not use any of the other amenities like the pool or beach credit as I was here for work. I had housekeeping every other day and they did a great job. The location isn’t bad, but if you want to get to the main part where most of the restaurants are, it’s about a 10 minute walk.

Loved our stay at the Romer!
The Romer @ the Ambassador was such a great experience! Our needs were well taken care of, and our room was very clean and comfortable. Best of all were the helpful and responsive staff led by Anna Maria and Schereen. Schereen was especially kind and helpful in ensuring everything went smoothly for us. Mahalo!

Do not recommend. I would have rather stayed at a Red Roof Inn.
Do not recommend. I would have rather stayed at a Red Roof Inn. -Someone was in my room - not housekeeping. Nothing was messed with other than lights turned on that I couldn't figure out how to turn off. Happened two days in a row -Housekeeping was supposed to be every two days - they did not come at all -I was double booked with someone named "Jeff" so they wouldn't let me check out because I wasn't that person -No hot water one night - their solution was to give everyone a card to a single room to take turns to shower without cleaning in-between or scheduling times -Refused to give me a receipt at checkout - said the systems were down -When I finally got my receipt, it had an extra day and night on it. Contacted Hilton directly and even they cannot get this hotel on the phone

Bad experience at this hotel
This hotel is not qualified to be 4 star. The building looks really old. We were bumped to a much smaller room (like a storage room) than our original reservation room when there a group of airlines crews arrived at the same time as us. They cater to the airlines crews more than average travelers or families.

Would not stay here again
Overall, I had a very poor experience at the Ambassador Hotel. The primary issue was cleanliness; as others have observed, my room's carpet had stains and was torn in places. More concerningly, my bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned as the toilet was dirty and there was hair in the shower. With regard to amenities, the two Peloton bikes in the gym are non-functional, and there were no pool towels available. Additionally, this hotel doesn't offer daily housekeeping. I wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend it to others.
