Highly recommend!!!
Everything about the hotel was incredible. The lobby and rooms are both incredibly comfortable and beautiful. The staff was as friendly and as helpful as any hotel staff that I have ever been around. I left my AirPods in my room, and was helped as soon as they were found by the house keeping staff. Another plus is that it is so close to Sanford’s campus and the surrounding restaurants are great!!

Antoinne and Jessie are the best! We love this hotel! Great service! We come here because of them! ……. They are awesome! We love them so much. It’s great coming here and seeing the same people who welcome us every time! Stay here as people are great!

Will not stay again due to staff interactions.
I reserved king bed rooms and requested a rollaway bed for one room for an extra child. Was told that the request was in and I could have one. Upon arrival , this hotel DOES NOT HAVE ROLLAWAY BEDS. They suggested I pay for a third room. No offer to reduce my rate or compensate me . Staff were very rude and aggressive that it was not their fault bc the Marriott reservation phone number made the mistake. Rooms and hotel in general were pretty tired and could definitely use an update. Will not stay here again due to staff interactions.

Hotel in Homewood - Best Place to Stay in Birmingham!
I must admit I was a little apprehensive about our stay in Birmingham, being from the UK and having read about crime rates in the media, however, this was one of the most pleasant surprises of our three-week road-trip. Homewood is lovely, we even enjoyed an evening stroll around and much to our delight saw some fireflies for the first time!! I wish we had time to stay and explore more the next day. This hotel is in a safe area and feels modern and well kept, we received a very friendly welcome and were issued with a little bag of goodies! Our room was very spacious; comfy beds, a large shower and big windows with a nice view out the front of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was grab and go, just what we needed for our one-night layover. Thank you Aloft for a great stay!

Bank Fraud
The stay was pleasant enough. The day after checkout, however, we discovered that Aloft had charged our CC $980!!!!! as an authorization fee. We stayed one night only, and used no services, and had paid for the room on Hotels.com. Aloft initially lied to us and said it was a Hotels.com charge and we would have to deal with them. After sending them bank record screen shots they relented, but made no apology, offered no help, and told us that the charges did not show in their system so they were not able to help us. Only after DAYS of calling and calling, corporate and local, did someone at Aloft FINALLY mention that there had been a system wide problem causing these fake charges, and they would reimburse us. Mariott corporate actually had the nerve to tell us we could not file an "escalation claim" unless we became Marriot rewards members!!!??? One week later and our funds are still not returned. No apology at all, no offer of restitution in any other way, The absolute worst treatment I have ever experienced with ANY stay, ever. STAY AWAY FROM ALOFT AND MARRIOT
