    Bad service

The staff in the diner are very rude asked on multiple occasions if they can refill the hot drink machines as none of the 4 hot chocolate or tea machines Worked they where either empty or cold got told to just get on with it then they continued chatting to each other this happened on more than one occasion if staying for a long period there should be a room clean offered as had lots of trash and only a very small bin provided in room and not emptied once requested empty just got told to leave outside room and it was 3 days before anyone collected the bags. Got woken up with staff member banging on the door with 2 other guests telling me it was there room now and I explained I do not check out for another 4 days only to be told eventually that they had made a mistake and they told the other guests the wrong room number. I reported all this to staff member in lobby who just said ok like they do not care.

    Cabana Bay Resort Stay

We just got back from a 3 night stay at the Cabana Bay Resort Orlando. I highly recommend this resort if you are wanting to choose an on-site resort for visiting Universal Studios; especially for Volcano Bay. This resort is right next door to Volcano Bay! If you choose building 7, that building is right next to the entrance to Volcano Bay. We stayed on the 8th floor of building 7, and had a great view of the city. The room was nice, clean; and the beds were comfortable. We ate at the Bayliner Diner several times during our stay, and the food choices were pretty good. It's a little overpriced, which is to be expected at a resort like this; but we enjoyed the food. The buses to take you to City Walk were usually outside waiting each time we went by. We ended up walking most of the time, once we found the path. There's a walking bridge that goes over the street next to Sapphire Falls that connects to the main walking path to Universal. The pools were nice, and we enjoyed the lazy river. We got lucky & found 2 tubes that someone was discarding, so we didn't have to buy them. Check-in & out was super easy, and so was the Customer Service counter where we got our tickets and Express passes. All in all, it was a great trip and I highly recommend this resort if you are visiting Universal.

    Fun kitschy hotel

Was kind of freaked out by the bad reviews, but I enjoyed staying here. The attention to detail in the decorating was amazing. The theme is so fun! The family suite that opened out to the pool area was super convenient. I loved being able to walk to City Walk or take the free bus when I was tired and needed the a/c. The pools were nice. You pay for parking by the room not car so that was nice given that we met and stayed with friends. The reason for only four stars was the food. It was mediocre at best and the layout of the “food court” was a logistical nightmare when it came to getting the entire family fed. It was impossible to get everyone in our party food at the same time even when we ordered from the same place. Pizza. Great. Cheese available immediately. Pepperoni will take an extra 10 minutes. I got the breakfast combo and none of the food was hot. Anyway, I recommend the hotel but hope that improvements are made to the food service.

    Love this place

Brilliant, 4th time. Walked to parks easily, running routes down to Idrive. Food court, good choice but some staff not too friendly on the checkout and food hygiene at serving stations a bit dubious. Pool as ever great. Cleaning staff in continental were excellent.

    Pretty Average

My son and I stayed here for a couple of days. The biggest upside of staying here is the location and convenience of the shuttle to access the theme parks. While there was nothing bad about our stay, it was pretty average. The theme is fun and the pools, arcade, and bowling offer lots for kids to do. All that said, the building and grounds definitely need a little TLC. Fresh paint and a carpet cleaning, or change out, is needed. The food was okay. Again, not bad, but nothing to write home about. Bed, pillows etc were all comfortable and clean. The hotel was very responsive to a loud neighboring guest when we were trying to sleep. Would I stay here again? Maybe.
