Jamaica trip 2021
This is my fourth time visiting Rui Palace Tropical Bay. I absolutely love this place. This resort is beautifull and right on the beach. The sunset views from your balcony are amazing. Check-in was smooth, thanks to Kimberly at the front desk. My special request to be in the building closet to the outdoors spa table and close to my bestie was honored at last minute notice. At the buffet there are many items to choose from at each dining service so you can't go hungry. I ordered a ceaser salad and chocolate raspberry cake every night from room service. Shout out to the best waitress Natherine. She has been there each year I've visited. She remembered my bestie and me from previous stays. She is very attentive and took very good care of me. A beautiful personality. She made me fresh ginger tea. Awesome. Ask for her in the main buffet dining room.. Omar a waiter in the main buffet dining room was "Johnny on the spot" to help the day Natherine was off. Water Zumba and Aerobic helped me work off my perfectly made breakfast omlette. I ate lunch the Jerk chicken hut on the beach. The resort staff walking the beach to serve you cold refreshing drinks all day. Skinny legs, the life guard at the pool and beach was very helpful. Christoph was very entertaining. The mini fridge is stocked twice a day. I'll definitely be back.
BEWARE OF DRINKS!! DAY BEFORE WE WERE LEAVING I WAS ROOFIED,WOOD ALCOHOL OR SOMETHING!!!!! UNCONSCIENCE FOR 6 HOURS
BEWARE of drinks!!! I was roofied wood alcohol or something else! I had one shot and a few sips of my drink of purple rain and I was unconscious for 6 hours. Vomiting, could not walk, passed out. Some of this would be on video! Riu manager of Spain had only an apology of what happened and it should of been reported to front desk! I could of died in this situation, but nothing is being done!! BEWARE, this could of never happened to me! Both my husband and myself are furious this happened and somebody at the Riu did this to my drink!! BEWARE!!!
We were there for a week in September 2021, during the COVID period. The resort staff was awesome in keeping us safe during our stay. My wife (Janet) and I (Ted) would like to give credit to the resort staff by recognizing a few of the ones that went out of their way to insure that we had a great stay. It was amazing how many of them knew us by name. The names we can remember are as follows: Diamond and Bubbles went above and beyond to insure that we enjoyed ourselves, Storm, Donnel, Spotlight, Kristoff, Damion, Santana and a life guard that we didn't get his name. We had a great time and we are going to make the attempt to come back!
Very Comfortable and clean
We arrive on 10/14/21 and staff was very helpful. Rooms very clean, alcohol and beverages in the room. The only issue I had was I reserve a King size bed and when we arrive it was two twin size beds pushed together. I tried to sleep on the bed the first night and it was uncomfortable, I reported it to the front desk and they immediately corrected the issues. They place a form mattress over top of the bed that mad it very comfortable. HouseKeeping clean the room everyday. My view was beautiful, when you wake up in the morning the resort staff is outside cleaning the pool, sanitizing the whole resort to make the guess feel comfortable, and the beach was absolutely amazing.
Due to covid we had to wear a mask on and off in certain areas lost plastic card to get into room so Andrew at front desk was gonna charge my room .H e was very unprofessional and not courteous at all .I explained to him I stay at Riu all the time in Mexico and Aruba he didn't care not very personable and not nice
