Fantastic fun family holiday with late teens - we will be back

We had such a great family holiday (with two late teen sons) at the end of June just before Hurricane Beryl hit. I'd read the reviews before going (and stayed at St Lucia's Royalton two years ago) and hoped for the best. But our experience is the complete opposite of the negative ones here. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we had a lot of fun together. We felt welcomed and well looked after - it took us a matter of minutes to check in on arriving on 24 June and we were in our rooms in under 10 thanks to Sylvester our bell hop. Shoneika made sure our rooms were cleaned every day. Kesree always served us with a smile at the Martini bar in the evening. And Lenore and Charles work so hard to make the pool bar run smoothly. One afternoon it rained and Charles made sure everyone had fun at the pool bar despite the weather. And a massive thanks to TJ, Hoisgh and Tyrone who went above and beyond their Vibe team roles. Our boys loved every second - there was always something to do and the Sports Bar was open til late at night for our boys. Yes we had a hiccup with hot water but the world didn't end and we were compensated by our tour operator. Food was good enough. Service was great. Staff were excellent. Thank you! We will be back.

Awful Not A Luxury Resort, listen to the Warnings!!!

Where do I start? We arrived on July 2nd 2024, this was before the Storm. Weather was good and the storm was not due to arrive until the next day. So when we arrived the room assignments were wrong and the confirmation we had on bed selection, which we confirmed a few days prior to our vacation was ignored. So in the party of 5, there is my Wife, our daughter, her brother and close friend, who is like a sister. So when we arrived, they had me and my brother in-law in the same room with one bed. We complained about the room assignment, we were told, "Oh your Travel agent booked it that way", this is the first lie. The second lie is the bed selection, my Wife and I booked a King junior suit for us and our daughter. For my Wife's brother and female Bestfriend, they were supposed to have a junior suite with get a twin bed, they are not couple. They lied about the room being assigned 1 bed because it was assumed they were a couple, once again this is a lie, because initially they had myself and my brother in-law in the same room, which contradicts the statement that you thought my brother in-law, and my Wife's bestfriend were a couple. In addition to our reservation being made 8 months ago, stating our rooms selection and type. We also called and got multiple confirmations before our arrival. They still refused to give them a double bed. So after calling my travel agent, 4 hours of debating and the multiple contradictions and straight lies, they finally got a room. But wait, it gets worst no A/C and a flooded room. ONCE AGAIN, this is BEFORE THE STORM! So they can NOT use the Storm as an excuse, the service has been poor and the food awful. You do not spend $10,000 USD to experience this rude, unrespectful and NON-Luxury service. We literally went a day without adequate food. Still No A/C, No pools, No restaurants, No bars and no service. We have 4 year old stuck in a hot room, with no relief in site and you can imagine how that is going, but our little lady is trying best due to the circumstances. We use to love the Royalton brand and have been coming to Jamaica for over 20 years. I considered this country to be my number 1 vacation spot out all the other places I have traveled in my Life. We are advid travelers, who travel outside of the United States, 5 to 6 times a year. I will now have to reevaluate that, and my view of the Royalton Brand has forever changed. When we went to the Royalton in West Negril we few years ago, we fell in Love with the Brand, but after this no longer. We are extremely disappointed. This is my Birthday week and I turn 40, while I am here on the 6th. We received no amenities we paid for, which was $300 room credit per room, which we never received. Listen there are a lot of reviews on here, trust me this is the one you want to pay "ATTENTION" to. This is Not Luxury resort and please know the customer service here is non-existent. *Updated, no resolution offered, just an apology. They do not care once they receive your money, management will send a generic email apologizing but will Not rectify the situation*

Deceitful resort. Won’t return or recommend

When we arrived, we were waiting to be checked in for close to an hour and then informed that we had been "upgraded" to the Hideaway property, but later discovered this was due to overbooking and our original room being "without AC” which was false. We had paid for an Ocean View Diamond Club Presidential Room on the Blue Waters property with an ocean view and insisted on getting what we paid for. After viewing rooms that were not up to par with the price we paid for, we eventually received the correct room, but the fact that we had to defend our rightfully purchased room is unacceptable, especially after a long day of travel. On the day of our departure, just hours before our flight, we were notified that the hotel had canceled our Nexus Tours transportation to the airport without any prior warning. This forced us to take a $70 hotel taxi to the airport. We had paid for round-trip Nexus Tours transportation, and not receiving the service for our departure was very disappointing. As I read other reviews, I’m learning this is a common deceitful practice of this establishment. After reaching out to address these issues, I was provided contact information for Nexus Tours, but have since been given the runaround and have not received any follow-up. These experiences were very disappointing and have left a negative impression of both the hotel and Nexus Tours.

The bartenders at the pool bar and at the diamond club bar was excellent!!! Our butler Juddikay was awesome! The only downside was mosquitoes was in the room so we got bitten up also there was no restaurants open 11am to 12:30pm. So there was no food available. Other than that it was good.
